I discovered this cute little establishment after a google search. I had been feeling extremely run…read moredown and dehydrated and water wasn't cutting it. I was able to schedule an appointment online for the following day (Saturday) which was super last minute and I knew there was a chance they wouldn't have any availability. This salon is located off of Hodgson Memorial in an older business center. Located toward the back right with lots of parking. Since I arrived later on a Saturday the lot was basically empty. It's located on the first floor and reminds me more of a townhouse set up than a business setup. The first room is the waiting room with a small desk and the business name against the back wall. I was greeted by Laveda who I later learned is the owner. At the time I had only made the appointment for a basic IV bag not knowing much about the others that could be offered. I was taken to the IV room to fill out the paperwork while she finished up with another client. The space was clean, cozy and cute. I ended up upgrading my IV bag after speaking with her more and telling her about my history and how I had been feeling. I was very surprised that she sat with me the whole time I received treatment. There was no awkward silence and we enjoyed chatting like we were good friends. Most salons I know would have just set me up and left me alone but I enjoyed the company. The service overall was great! I warned her in the beginning that I was a hard stick and my veins had a mind of their own and even though I had been drinking a lot water they may still be hard. And they didn't disappoint it took quite a few tries to get a vein which is completely normal for me and after finally getting set up I was good to go. The appointment was scheduled for a hour but it run over a little over 2h but I barely noticed since we had been chatting and sharing stories.

She took care of me and made me feel so safe. I can't wait to go back for an IV. The office is so clean and tidy. I loved every minute in the care of Fluid Aesthetics & Wellness! (If we had canceled with less than 24 hours notice, we would've been charged per their cancellation policy for clients.) This was not a massage but just an infrared sauna and float session--booked specifically with Jessica--and did not require extensive hands-on staffing. Apparently, there is no backup plan to keep the business operating if someone calls in sick. I scheduled the package two weeks in advance. When booking, we spent 30 minutes completing forms and releases. Jessica offered another day for an appointment, but I explained I was traveling and leaving in two days with an already full schedule. She reiterated that she could not keep the appointment because someone had called in sick. Since she was the person assigned, it felt strange that she needed to cancel because of someone else's schedule and it seemed more like she might just not want to work that day. She was not apologetic and basically said I should understand. As a business owner myself, I find last-minute cancellations without contingency planning EXTREMELY unprofessional--especially for clients who have booked well in advance. As mentioned, there was little acknowledgment of the inconvenience or disappointment caused. We were genuinely looking forward to this experience and were let down by how it was handled. We do not recommend Ascend Wellness based on this experience.

The system was so glitchy it took me nearly half an hour and multiple attempts just to complete the process. I never received a confirmation email, and it turned out my booking wasn't even properly secured. You can actually add a cold plunge to your cart and pay without scheduling it--which is exactly what happened. By the time I realized, I was already at the payment screen and had been charged. After that, I had to log in again, sign my name five times (for a cold plunge?), and finally schedule the appointment. The next day, I received a call saying the cold plunge wasn't available, so I agreed to switch to cryotherapy. When I showed up--after driving around a bit because the GPS location was off and it's hard to find as a first-time customer--the building was completely closed. I arrived a bit early, waited outside for five minutes, and then left. I texted the representative, but despite having confirmed the appointment over the phone, they refused to refund me and claimed I was a no-show. Overall, a frustrating experience with poor customer service. Definitely won't be returning--and honestly, if they had refunded me, I probably would have.

Glow Spa is definitely not your typical med spa, and I'm all for it. This is their Midtown…read morelocation, which I frequent because of the super convenient parking right out front--makes it so easy for a quick drop-in or last-minute appointment. The waiting area is welcoming and bright, with gorgeous white marble floors and large windows that let in tons of natural light. The space feels open and airy, and they've got a great selection of skincare products displayed alongside comfortable seating, so you can relax while you wait. The check-in staff are always super friendly and offer refreshments, which is a nice touch. As for treatments, I've had a few great experiences here. I've done a laser treatment on my face to help with discoloration spots, a Dermaplane (which is amazing for getting rid of that pesky peach fuzz that sneaks up as I get older), and their hydro facials are perfect for adding extra moisture during the summer months when my skin needs it most. You can easily book appointments online, or if you prefer, you can call them directly. I've also found that emails get a quick follow-up call within 24 hours, so they're always on top of communication. Overall, Glow Spa is a reliable, relaxing, and professional spot that makes skincare a breeze.

Glow med spa gave me a chemical burn after lying to me about the safety of a procedure on tretionin…read moreand then further attempted to lie after. I went in for a brow lift for a big event coming up in a few days, and while there, the esthetician convinced me to get a brow tint and a lamination. I asked her if it was okay to do since I am on tretinoin, and she said yes, the only thing I couldn't do was wax, so she plucked my brows instead. During the procedure, I asked if it was meant to be burning and painful, and was told yes. We even talked about me being on tret while the procedure was happening! My brows were bright red afterward and painful, and in the morning, I had scabbing in certain spots, red skin, and they were still very painful even without touching them. I very clearly had a chemical burn. After a quick Google search, I learned you should not do a brow lamination while on tret, and I called the spa, who told me I was wrong and there was nothing done at the spa that could have given me a burn. I did not believe them, so I called my dermatologist afterward, who said lamination should not be done on tret or any other retinoids. I am attaching my text conversation below with Glow Med Spa (I cropped out the beginning, which includes personal information) during which they tried to gaslight me into believing they had done nothing wrong and that I was experiencing a "personal allergy." They changed their tune when they realized I was not, in fact, an idiot, and had spoken to a qualified professional elsewhere to further confirm. I really am not the type of person to leave bad reviews. I have never done so in my life and probably never will again. But the fact that they tried to trick me after they gave me a chemical burn is just not acceptable. The burn that they gave me is thankfully not terrible but they have not only ruined a big event for me, the chemical burn could have very easily been worse potentially scarring me, and they were happy to lie about the entire thing.
