I came into the salon to get a full set and a pedicure. The staff was rude and never listened to my requests. I repeatedly asked them not to do things in a certain way. I did not want a massage or to be poked and prodded at. They did not listen to me at all and continued to do so. One week after my full set all of my nails started falling off. But I'm not even at the worst part yet, this manicure and pedicure has given me an infection on two of my fingernails and one toe. I am in a ton of pain and have to take antibiotics now. This goes to show the lack of customer care and cleanliness. Not to mention the fact that it was ridiculously overpriced. I would be better off getting press on nails from Walmart. read more

The manicurist I usually go to was out of town, so I decided to give this place a try because I live near by. I walked in and was taken for a manicure right away. They do have new management and owners, so they are currently doing some remodeling and updating to the inside. The salon is very clean and they used brand new files and buffers on me. I originally wanted a simple nail design, but Jen asked to give it her own twist and I couldn't have been more pleased. Trust her! I will definitely be back. read more

I've been a regular client of a well known, highly reviewed Nail Salon off of Coleman and was looking for a change. I came the first time for a Gel Manicure and if I hadn't of snapped my nail (landscaping...) then my manicure would have easily lasted another week or two. The shape and paint job were fabulous. I went 2 weeks ago and was very pleased but today I was not. The pedicure was great but the person barely talked and the manicure was very painful. When trimming my cuticles my skin was cut many times then alcohol was put on the nails. Here it is 2 hours later my fingers still hurt. read more

There were 4 of us girls who wanted mani pedis last minute. We called angel nails and they told us to come right in hour before closing. Everyone there was super friendly and the place was impeccably clean! They offered us all complimentary wine as we were pampered! While some of us waited for others to finish they gave us amazing hand massages. They stayed open an hour past closing and didn't make us feel rushed at all! Was a little nervous because of the mixed reviews, but decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I should of listened to my instincts. Manicure was extremely rushed, they only applied one coat and hardly cleaned my cuticles, needless to say, not even two days later and my nails have chipped. One person was doing my manicure as another was finishing my pedicure and they spoke to each other the entire time, making it hard to relax. As I was checking out handing my tip over, the one called out to the other person, felt like they were saying how much I gave. Just moved here and decided today I'd go out and find my new nail salon. I always get an acrylic set with gel polish. Decided to go with regular polish today for times sake. While I was getting them done the tech was telling me about how high other* salons in the area were.. I hadn't even asked for pricing. She stopped the service at one point to do another clients eye brows. It was also hot in there. Today's high is 73 and there was no air running. However, she was very friendly... Nails were dry and after waiting w my card out for a while I finally asked if I could pay. $45. That's all I have to say. It may very well be that this area is just higher on pricing, but boy am I glad I didn't get my usual gel polish She mentioned that most people get regular manicures in Charleston. No wonder! A few weeks ago, I visited this salon for the first time. I recently relocated to the area, and was in need of a nail tech. So, I logged on Yelp and began reading reviews. My first choice was Lingh salon. His yelp reviews are awesome! But unfortunately, he was booked for the day. So, I ended up at Angel Nails. Lee did a good job with my manicure. However, my pedicure was mediocre, at best. The young lady rushed through my pedicure. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. She was the youngest female working that day. My pedicure experience was NOT good. It was the quickest pedicure I've ever received. I could barely relax because she was moving so fast. She barely rubbed the bottom of feet. I tried to tell her to scrub a certain area again, but she didn't understand me. She clearly didn't understand nor speak any English...... at all! The following morning, I noticed dry skin on the bottom and heels of my feet. Normally, I would go back to the salon for a "do-over". However, I was catching a flight later that day and I didn't have time to stop by the nail salon. She definitely did a poor job. If you are in need of a good pedicure, let someone else do it. The staff here means well but this is a mediocre mani, pedi at best. Everything was "ok". My cuticles don't look much better than when I came in. They don't really dig in on calluses. I tried to communicate that I like my nails really short but the main women working here don't speak much English. I ended up cutting the nails of my own big toes. Anyway. There's no 1/2 star rating so this is a 3 1/2 star rating. The staff is nice and friendly. They are actually open on Saturdays although yelp says it's close. They offer waxing service as well. I got a pedicure ($25) and upgrade to a deluxe pedicure for $10 more. The woman who serviced me was quick but gave a really nice foot massage. I also got a gel manicure ($28 - normal is $25). The service was quicker than what I'm used to but everything turned out ok. read more

The best mani pedi! I walked in for the first time on Wednesday and was treated like a regular VIP. I am use to just getting a 5 minute foot massage with a pedicure but she gave me over 30 minutes of her time. It was wonderful! Everyone there was very attentive and friendly. IN LOVE! Just relocated to Mt. P and just came in as a walk in. I did not realize they closed at six but they still took me even thought it was 5:30. AMAZING service! I scuffed my nails and they fixed it without even hesitating. Everyone had a great attitude and was very friendly. There was a very rude customer getting snippy with the owner. She handled the situation very professionally. Given how awful the customer was treating her I was very impressed with her composure. As for my nails, great job and great price. Very nice and knowledgeable staff, super friendly, the Manager had a great personality- but prices were higher than stated- $55.00 for SNS, $40+ for gel nails. We went there thinking it would be less than in IOP, where SNS was $50.00. I pay $35 for that in Charlotte. I ended up taking off my SNS and getting gel nails- my salon normally does 3 coats. This one was two, and my nails are very "flexible" and bendy, not firm like I am used to. They look good, though. If I lived here full time, I don't think I could afford to get my nails done in this city. read more
