I've usually average what seemed like eternity waiting to see the doctor, which turns to be like north of 45 minutes. Today I was lucky a I had an appointment in the morning. But once you get past the two biggest obstacles, the nurses usually are very nice and the doctors are capable and efficient. I've seen two doctors here and both have been very good ones, they understand the issue right away and can come up with a solution pretty quickly. I keep coming here because of the good reputation of north shore and how try are affiliated with U of C. But I hate dealing with the receptionists in the front and hate waiting way past my appointment time. If they could only train the front office better and emphasizing with us, it would go a long way.

Yep, that's how much they billed for a simple sick after the insurance rate adjustment. (224 to 175). I have read about hospital-owned physician groups increased rates, but never realized the increase could be so extreme. Compare this group's rate with my Internist who is affiliated with North Shore but not owned by the hospital. Internist rate after insurance adjustment for simple sick visit is $95. Compared to $175 for pediatrician. Can anyone justify $175? So if you have a deductible , RUN as fast as you can to a non North Shore physician group or you will pay dearly.

Scheduling an appointment and getting past the front desk of doctors offices has never been easy at most places. However , Dr josephs receptionist wajeeha was very warm and welcoming and made me feel at ease . There was zero wait time and no hassle in scheduling an appointment. I was recommended to Dr. H by a friend, so I went t online and was able to book an appt for the next day. Dr. Hayes met with me and took the time to listen and dig in to my records. He followed up several times when I alerted him I was feeling worse. He took the time to attempt to recover some recent blood work I had done with another doctor and a chest X-ray I had at Urgent Care a month or so prior. He reviewed all and determined the PA at Urgent Care misdiagnosed my symptoms. He put me on correct meds and within a few days, I started feeling better. He told me to come back a few days later, but I had a commitment already at the time he suggested, so he told me to just come in when it's good for me and he would squeeze me in. What a fantastic doctor. Great bedside manner and very knowledgeable doctor. I highly recommend this wonderful doctor. I feel so much better.
