I usually go to the city for my beauty/laser treatments but now i have another option right here in the island :). Today for the first time i got a brazilian laser treatment. YES THIS HURTS! but I used a numbing cream ( I can not imagine not having used it!) Danielle explained to me that the first treatment is the most painful one. I will get used to the sensation of having laser done over time...I have 5 more sessions left. I can not wait to be completely hair free. it is definitely worth the pain which by the way was over as soon as our session was done. After years of getting frustrated with the hassle of shaving I made an appointment to have my neck area done. (I have very sensitive skin on my neck and will get rashes easily.) I was nervous at first about how my skin would react but Danielle reassured me I would be fine. Being that I have never had this type of procedure before I was still a little worried. Danielle offered to do a tiny area first and see what happens. Then after about an hour or so while Danielle waited LOL and was taking other clients, I finally went through with the whole session. .I went for 2 sessions already and I must say I am very happy with the results so far. This is hands down the best laser hair removal place you could go to. I have a few laser hair places by my house in Brooklyn and I still choose to drive to Staten Island to go here. I've tried closer places and the results just don't last the way they do at angel skin. Danielle is meticulous with the cleanliness of the place and the entire staff is very kind and personable. They are all very skilled and make you feel comfortable. Regina is my girl, though! She is very friendly and always answers my questions and makes me feel comfortable during my appointments. I had high hopes after reading all the high praise this shop received. I had purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian laser hair removal. I have had my underarms, legs, and upper lip done from all different locations. I was told I would see some patchiness after all the hair had shed out. When I was done, it looked like I had only 15% of the hair gone. When I had my underarms done, it was 100%, legs and upper lip were 90%. My biggest concern was that the technician was constantly moving the wand even though the laser was being emitted once every 2 seconds. She was not at all thorough as my results will tell you. Going in for another sessions. I will ask them what happened and hopefully see better results this go around. read more

Love this place! I originally bought a groupon for 6 Brazilian sessions. By the end, I was hair free, and there are only a few random strays that I rarely have to shave. The office is clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. After my 6 sessions were up, I received deals by email. I ended up purchasing 6 more sessions for another area. I am in the process of getting laser hair removal for a full Brazilian. I've had my underarms, upper lip, and full legs done before, so I am not new to the procedure. Everyone was very pleasant, and they were prompt to acknowledge my appointment. My treatment took only five minutes which was a nice change from getting my legs done. The technician didn't talk to me at al because she was busy teaching the girl next to her how to do the procedure. 2 sessions later: After two weeks after each of my three sessions, I see MINIMAL shedding. I have talked to them before about this, but they say it's normal. I've had three other spots done without NO PATCHINESS. The staff is lovely. Not so sure about their competence though. read more

I have to say, I am very disappointed. I went to Angel Skin back in 2015 for 6 sessions of Brazilian & it came out absolutely perfect. I had no hair for a solid year & after that it would grow back in patches, but never enough to shave. I would go a solid month before even thinking about shaving. But after a few years it started to grow back more & more, so I decided to go back for 6 more sessions Brazilian plus 6 sessions for underarm, half leg and upper lip. I went back expecting similar, if not the same results & what I got was the complete opposite. My hair started growing back immediately, even on the Brazilian which now had 12 sessions total on it. In fact, I believe it is EVEN WORSE than before because I am getting razor burn. I havent had any kids or took any medications or supplements that could have changed my body physiologically and my skin and hair is exactly the same as it was in 2015, so I do not understand these terrible results that I paid A LOT OF MONEY FOR. I even completed the sessions during around the same time of year. I dont know what it is, maybe when they expanded they changed their equipment? Otherwise, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I wish I could give a glowing review as I would have in 2015, but I am just extremely disappointed. read more

The laser treatment works amazing, after only my first session I noticed it worked very well. I have been recommending it to all of my friends because I love it so much. Was a little skeptical bc all the reviews were 5 stars which made me think they were fake. Since I couldn't find anything negative on the web about this place, I went for it. Bought a groupon and scheduled an appointment for bikini laser hair removal. At first the place seems shady bc it is upstairs in a strip mall and the place has privacy glass. But once you are there it's legit. Staff was friendly. Place was clean. I was taken in promptly. My service was performed in minutes by Regina. There was no pain at all... just a light static-ey feeling. Can't speak on the effectiveness just yet, but I will update my review next month. They will def get 5 stars if the treatment is effective. Only thing they could do better is have one night a week that they are open late. They are there Saturdays though, which is helpful since I'm 30 minutes away. UPDATE: Second treatment in and I notice less hair growth. Going for my third next week. UPDATE #2: The treatments def work. After my third my hair was significantly reduced. I'm sure that by the end it will be just about non existent. The staff here really is great. They actually give a crap about not wasting your time. Danielle is sooo accommodating. Pain seems to increase as you go on bc I'm assuming they are turning the laser "up a notch" with every treatment, but even so it's still not very painful. Angel Skin s a must try. Angel Skin was my first experience with Brazilian laser. I had a Brazilian wax done for the first time a month prior somewhere else and everything about it was awful, that's why I researched laser, found their Groupon and gave it a try. Laser is so much more humane of a process and the longer term results are so much better. I usually book with Regina; she is very professional and makes the efforts to ensure you are comfortable. I am on medication and she was cautious about the drug interactions, which I appreciated. Needless to say, I purchased additional treatments because I am taken care of and the results are what I was looking for. I have also had multiple Hydrafacials done, one by Danielle and others by Samantha. Its an awesome procedure. I currently have a bad hormonal acne breakout and am being treated at dermatologist, etc and very self conscious about it, but they both went above and beyond to make me comfortable during my Hydrafacials. Although the office is out of the way from my home on the south shore, its worth the drive across the island, although I normally schedule on my way home from work in Brooklyn.
