The ladies upstairs Are always so friendly and welcoming. I always find great fabric and even vintage blankets sometimes! I've donated many times and frequent this shop at least once a week. They have great sales and the best merchandise compared to all other thrift stores on that street. Love it here! read more

Dropped in here out of curiosity to see what I'd find. It's always a treasure hunt when checking out a thrift store. The scary part about visiting a thrift store is knowing that you can basically buy the entire store unless it's cash only. If you go in with an open mind you'll be surprised what you'll find. You can find high-end luxury clothing or someone's 10-year-old socks. You'll find that rare toy painting or even classic Pyrex. This go around I found a classic San Diego chargers Super Bowl shirt in excellent condition which I will add to my collection at home. The place was clean and well stocked and from what I can tell very popular amongst the locals. I plan on coming back soon though the hours are very limited and parking is as well. I like to support thrift shops either with donations or even shopping a dollar here a dollar there adds up and goes a long way consider it paying it forward! One man's trash is another man's, remember to pop some tags. read more

My family and I are cleaning out my mom's house and donating her things after she died last month. It has been a very painful process which was made worse by the rude "Karen" volunteer that snarkily told my brother as he was offloading our donations "you break it you take it." He replied that this was my mom's stuff who died and she snapped back "well both my parents died too." This lady was so awful and nasty that my brother said he never wanted to return there again. Wonderful thrift shop.. have gotten some wonderful finds in housewares. Quality and some vintage. Prices are very reasonable. Some really nice clothing items as well. *** CASH ONLY *** Even before I relocated to Fallbrook last year I have visited this store before. They are very well organized, which if fantastic because the place is just a bit small, especially when it's a full house, and believe me it does get busy. Don't forget to check the upstairs for some finds. There you will find wall decor, some furniture, bed linens, special occasion attire and miscellaneous sewing and craft finds. It gets really hot upstairs, just a warning. The parking lot fills quickly, because it is a small lot, but there is plenty of street parking. read more

We just went in to drop off donations, and the employee was extremely rude and unfriendly. She acted as though she didn't want to take our donations at all at first, and after explaining what we were donating, begrudgingly accepted. She then stopped us halfway through to say that was all she was willing to take, however in a very rude way. Saying "no mas no mas" over and over and speaking down to us. This is absolutely ridiculous, we are donating items for free for an establishment to profit off of, yet being treated like nuisances for providing them with free inventory seems a little wrong to me. Not very angel hearted at all, at least not the woman with the see through mask. read more

I love the Angel Store, but I have one major complaint. You have to ask for a receipt just about every time you purchase anything there. That evokes a sigh and the person seems visablly annoyed to have to tear your receipt off--often of a trailing roll of receipts. Crazy! Dealing with a cash only business, makes me wonder just how forthright they are when they continually won't give out receipts. Yes, they do a lot of good for the community, but it's totally unprofessional to not run a business like a business. It seems they are trying to hide something. I have sent them an email, so let's see if they take care of this problem. If so, I'll come back and adjust my rating. I love their items and I love their prices...just not the service. read more

While the prices have gone up recently- $5 dollars for a dress, wowza!- this is one of the best thrift stores in town. If you're looking for slightly used, grandma approved finery- this is the place for you! You may even be as lucky as I and find a coupon for cat food from 1992 in the pocket of your recently purchased trousers! read more

I love this place. When I was down and out, they were there. The angel society is amazing to our community. Because when I had absolutely nothing, they were there for me to help me through the hard times, I'm so thankful that now I find so much joy donating our very nice things back to the store to be resold to another family in a rough time. The world needs more angels like these angels; everything that is beautiful in the world is in the hearts of the volunteers at this organization. How lovely it is they give back so much. read more

Zero Stars Actually!... Angel's thrift store employees filled with hate and disrespect! WOW! I am honestly applauded by the inconsiderate and insulting behavior of the staff at Angel's thrift store! My family and I have shopped here countless times and the staff is usually rude and entitled, however today absolutely crossed the line! We just went in to buy some clothes to change my niece into after playing outside. The women working the counter were talking smack behind our back to a customer about my three year old niece's appearance, and then blaming her for making a mess left by another customer! What kind of person, 60 years plus is talking smack about a three year old girl? WOW... and to a customer? How incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful! Angels thrift store is supposed to be based on community and religious morals? I can tell you they are NOT upholding their values or any values to be frank. They are actively destroying the community with their insulting comments, tearing down the youth! I will NEVER shop here again and I hope you don't either! Save yourself the disrespect and entitled behavior of the staff and go anywhere else to shop! I still cannot believe that just happened... WOW!!! read more

I completely agree with Cheri, I too love this store, but do not go at closing time and do not question their pricing. Because they have different people on the daily pricing items in the back, the more consistent ladies who work the register, take it out on the customer when they do not agree with the price that is on an item or a boutique item is put in regular stock. Most of the ladies that work there are very nice, but a few do not have the patience for working the register. Yes you are volunteers, yes you give to the community, but sadly I have been and I have seen others treated badly by your staff. If you close at three the whole store should be open until three and no one should feel rushed to get their shopping done, that is why most women leave their husbands at home ; o). If you want to be home by 3 than change the store hours to 2:30 and quit harassing your customers. read more

This thrift store is great! All the staff (volunteers only) are super sweet retired ladies and there is an upstairs with only christmas stuff, wedding gowns, and other formal wear. You can only go up there if you ask a staff member to go with you. Amazing finds: Gorgeous JESSICA MCCLINTOCK gown (worn only once for a wedding) for only $12!! Fits as if it were made for me. perfect for a winter formal or prom 2 pairs of colored heels $4 each Dark blue leather flats $2.50 Beautiful St. John's heels for $6 that retail for around $400. Too bad they were tiny! White Dior sleep shirt for 50 cents Black woolen pencil skirt for $2.50 Brown leather purse $1.50 Beware though, the ladies raid everything before it gets on the floor, somehow great things still end up out there. Nice store. Love the boutique items upstairs. Seems a little pricey though - but organized. I knocked off 2 stars because at precisely 3PM, while being shuffled to the cash register, we were informed rather harshly, that they are "volunteers" and "we close at 3PM". I do not live in Fallbrook and did not know that the majority of the Thrift stores in Fallbrook close at 3PM so I did not appreciate the manner in which this statement was delivered; as it seemed a rude and unnecessary declaration. I am a volunteer for a certain non-profit organization I believe in and if necessary I will and have put in extra time because I believe in the cause. At no time have I or anyone that volunteers with me ever found it necessary to inform a customer in a similar fashion. The Angel volunteers might remind themselves of this; if you don't believe in the cause perhaps it is time for you to move on. If you are volunteering and you are resenting your time there it absolutely shows! Remember - YOU ARE A SERVANT TO SERVE OTHERS. Perhaps some of these volunteers have forgotten why they started volunteering at Angels to begin with. Humility is key in a non-profit organization. Remember, customers are also potential donators as well. read more
