I have been going to this little cute store for years . I've seen the owners change as well . The store has such cute stuff ! I've bought many things here . I would recommend all the cute gifts ! Such an adorable charming store in Old town Temecula . I called before heading their way , the gal who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful . She even checked to make sure that the item I wanted was in stock . On my drive , I hit traffic , which was going make me arrive 5 minutes after their closing time . Again, I called to confirm the closing time . She asked how late I would be and said , " No worries , I'll wait for you " Upon my arrival I purchased the items and more that I had gone for. The store smells amazing , the staff was friendly, professional and went out of their way to provide exceptional customer service . They even gave my dog a biscuit and loves . This cute little store has so much to offer! It has a chic antique farmhouse feel. I was actually surprised at all the great finds! I recently bought a beautiful ceramic coffee mug with a quote from Alice In Wonderland and a fantastic leather bound notebook which also had a beautiful quote, and looked to be hand stitched. The customer service was wonderful. The woman at the cash register joined in casual conversation with the customers and made us feel welcome. She even went the extra length to gift wrap the items I bought with decorated tissue paper, twine and colorful handmade yarn puffs. The items I bought were not made in China, so I'm happy knowing I purchased quality items. I would definitely recommend a visit to this shop! read more

I just left this store today. Wednesday Dec 8th 2021 around 4pm. I must say, it was a very unpleasant situation. The person manning the store isn't friendly and she followed me around the store the ENTIRE time I was shopping. Why? Oh why?!' I was super excited to see the change of ownership and the new look of the store. Met the new owners early on and they were so friendly and full of inspirational conversation. They, however, kept one of the previous employees who seems to be there every time we go in. It's very uncomfortable being there when she's working. There is no music only the awkward silence and the unfriendly vibe in the air. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this. Shop owners and workers should be friendly, make some sort of eye contact and maybe smile as they "greet" and/or "thank" customers for stopping in? The BEST store for home interior. The ever changing stock makes purchasing seasonal items guilt free! And you honestly get what you pay for. Good, unique quality pieces well worth the price you pay. Money well spent for me. The owner is always hospitable and has a keen eye for designs and products that are not cookie cutter like many chain retail stores. She made sure to greet me as I entered the store. And wasn't overbearing. I purchased some paint and brushes and one can lasted two coats for my dresser with plenty to spare! Once again, you get what you pay for. Good quality paint (you really can't go wrong with this paint! And I recommend the brushes as they help you not waste any paint). This was my third time visiting the store, and it will be my last. It was the same as my two previous experiences; the woman working on Tuesday, February 25th at 1:00pm was so snotty and rude I don't even want to patronize her store. I bought one small item, and plan to send my family back to buy several more for my birthday. However, when I took my purchase up to the register she said "oh only this one item, not a candle?" She proceeded to not look me in the eye, rung up my transaction, laid my small succulent on a piece of tissue paper, unwrapped, asked if I really needed a bag, And then proceeded to give me back my change by placing my bills on the counter, then my coins, then my receipt. She did not place anything in my hands, did not thank me and just left behind the counter and went back to putting merchandise around the store. read more

I saw this store on Facebook and I was really interested in going by and checking it out. Found the time to swing by today and it's not really what I was expecting. The shop is tiny. I was in and out in 10 mins tops and looked at everything they have to offer. In that 10 mins I was there, the ONE employee present was too busy with people in the chalk paint section. Not one hello or even recognition from her. I carried on and continued to look around. The prices are WAY too expensive for what they offer. Cute store but will never go back or recommend. Loved everything in this shop. I mean, seriously. Beautiful things. I picked out a wall decor piece that was reasonably priced and brought it to the register. There were two women sitting and eating their lunches behind the counter. Slightly unprofessional but okay. They proceeded to have a full on conversation while one of the girls ran my card and bagged my item. She literally didn't speak one word to me during the transaction. For as amazing of a place this was, I would expect better customer service. If someone had greeted me or helped me while I shopped, I definitely would have spent more money. read more

Great small business ran by conscientious management who went above and beyond to remedy an initial complaint. Cute store and very informative about chalk paint projects. I initially went in to get chalk paint to do my banister and landing cabinet. After finding more information I am working on a bathroom and table as well. I'm all about supporting local shops and especially cute little shops such as this. Recently came in here, and they do have really cute stuff and some of the prices are reasonable. You'll love this place if you're into the whole "rustic" or even the "Fixer Upper" look. However, that is not my issue. My issue was the person that was working at the time. I noticed that they offer chalk paint classes. I was intrigued as I've never worked with it before. Upon checking out, I asked the person behind the counter about it. Her respond didn't really sit well with me. It just seemed like she didn't have anytime for us, as if we were an inconvenience because I was inquiring about the classes. She gave me no explanations as to what the classes entailed. I remember her saying you have to bring your cabinets in for that class, but I never asked her about the cabinet class. I noticed that they had a beginner class, and I was more interested on that. I had asked about it, and she just seemed focused on the cabinet class. She was no help at all with that. Her attitude towards us just left a bad taste in my mouth. Mind you, we bought several things from this store. So we weren't just browsing around. I'll have to think about if it's really worth my time to go back here again. I'm sure she may just had an off day...who knows! read more

I was so sad when I moved away from one of my favorite shabby chic stores in Glendora and would commute back over an hour to get my Chalk Paint supplies! I just found this place in Temecula and love it! The owners were super friendly and helpful with everything I needed. They have a huge assortment of chalk paint as well although they were out of my FAV color (but I'm guessing that is because everyone else loves it too! :) It's a fairly small store in comparison to the one in Glendora so not sure if they do tutorials or workshops, but I also didn't ask so that might be my own fault! Everyone was super helpful and the store was so cute- I wanted to buy everything. Can't wait to star all the projects now that I have a local store to shop at. LOVE this place! We discovered it while visiting Temecula last weekend. It's filled with such great finds for astonishingly affordable prices. My husband and I ended up buying a BEAUTIFUL cream colored secretary desk and hutch. All of the pieces in the store have such character and after talking to the store owner for a while we learned she's traveled all over the country collecting these unique pieces. This is one of the shops I always visit when I'm in town, which seems to be quite often. I love the stuff the carry for gifts I don't need to go anywhere else. They have gotten more and different types of items lately, which I like, so does the lady I'm shopping for. I have had 2 different sales ladies when I have been there, they are always professional, kind, and helpful when I'm trying to get something special and unique. One of them is quite entertaining in addition to the previous statement. I really enjoy the staff I have met there. I started coming here in middle September and I will not stop. My adult son and I ran in here briefly on Saturday to check to see if they still had a piece of furniture I had noticed last month when shopping with a house guest and to look at the chalk paint colors for our kitchen project. As I said to to my son that was the furniture was gone, the person in charge of the store (I think she is the owner, but not sure) said "what's that?" I told her I the item I was looking for was no longer there. She didn't respond, so I proceeded to the back to check out chalk paint colors. The woman followed us back there. Last time I bought chalk paint there (I purchased three cans for my project, but decided I need a different color), they didn't seem to have small sample bottles or painted wooden samples, or at least no one showed me. I picked out small sample bottle and asked her how much it was. She told me (expensive), and I asked if they had any examples of it painted on wood, as there were several colors I liked, but I didn't want to buy them all. She told me they had no painted examples. I moved further down the table and found at the end a box of wood samples painted in every color, both plain and with the dark wax. I picked up the color I was interested in, and she said she thought I had meant a piece of actual furniture as an example. She didn't seem to be directing me to the painted samples, so I can only assume she was hoping I would buy that bottle without further investigation. That wasn't very good service. To make matters worse, I spent less than ten seconds comparing a couple of colors at the sample table when my son tapped me on the shoulder because he thought a woman wanted to get by (the aisles are small). Suddenly, after I moved, I heard someone say loudly, "Oh, that's ok, we got the memo that you own the place." I wasn't even aware that she was talking to me, although I did hear her. I then began a conversation with my son about the color sample I still had in my hand as she horned in at the samples in front of me, cutting off my access to the other colors. She then said "Take that outside, you can see it better." I responded that my painting project is indoors, not outside. The woman in charge, who had never asked us about our project or offered to help, now began waiting on this woman and ignoring us completely. We left. This unpleasant interaction took less than a minute, but left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I question whether it is worth going back there, though I would like to inspect the samples more thoroughly. read more

The woman at the counter was nice, but she gave me false information. I have restored furniture before, but never used the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I told her about the cabinet I was planning on painting and she told me she had done a project similar to what I was describing. No. Just, No. It took me three or more coats for each side, and thank the lord I did not plan on painting the inside of this cabinet, which worked out well because the paint is very expensive, hard to spread, and the piece should have been primed first (which I didn't do because I was told I didn't need to). For next time, I know better. Their stuff is cute, but it's all repro items that I could do myself at home without the high cost. I was expecting some serious vintage stuff, but it was more like a "Hobby Lobby" with fancy paint. I will buy paint from them again because I don't know of anyone else in the area who sells "Annie Sloan" , but I will go with my gut and also make anything I see there myself with a much lower cost. read more

I wanted to chalk paint an old piece of furniture for my husband and heard about this store. I went down, 7 miles from my home, and the customer service I received as a new customer and new to using chalk paint, was great detail information on how to create a wonderful piece of furniture. They even told me to call if I had any questions while working on this piece. I did and I called and they were very helpful walking me through the process. Needless to say my husband loved my finished piece! The staff are so customer service oriented and I even met the owner. She takes her time to get to know her customers and always happy to see me. The store has a lot of great decorating ideas and very unique gifts. I have to go down there very soon as I am converting an old dresser to an outside seating bench. Can not wait to get started!
