This is my 3rd tea room that I have tried in the Tampa area and I must say it's my favorite so far. Parking was a breeze, and the decor is super cute on the inside. The food was delicious, and service was on point. Loved the quiet ambiance, although we did go on a weekday, so I imagine weekends are much busier. My only dislike is there isn't a tea menu - you only get to choose from two teas of the day, but great experience overall. read more

Super cute little store front in downtown Dade City. Stopped in with a high school friend from out of town. Had chicken salad. scones, and rum cream tea (tea of the day). They were able to seat us with minimal wait and staff were very friendly and attentive. Prices very reasonable. Love coming here as a treat! read more

The food and service cannot be beat at the Angel Tea Room, in Dade City. Margaret, the owner, is an excellent host. They have a huge selection of teas, on my visit Margaret had a Maple Cream hot tea, and I had a delicious blueberry iced tea. The food is all made in house, with some excellent choices in sandwiches and desserts. Reservations are recommended, but we stopped in around 2pm and Margaret was happy to seat us. This place is a joke! Was told to make a reservation in order to get a table since there's less than 10. After getting ready to order from a very tiny menu was told we couldn't. When you make a reservation you have to have people order the $23 per person option! Was told it was already premade although we saw it being prepared so that was a lie! When asked what sandwiches were was told you'll find out! Some items were not even listed on menu so we didn't even know what food was. There were two tiny teaspoons of chicken salad on two crackers two one inch 1/2 tsp of nasty egg salad six tiny sixes of cucumber on pieces of very thin bread with a smear of cheese some unedible disgusting ham spread and a few other tiny crappy items. The fruit -2 blueberries 2 slices of strawberries 2 grapes!!!was sour. The one inch pieces of cake were good but there were two of each 1 in x 1 in. Two small scones dried out stale. The tea wasn't even good! Save yourself time and money! How this place is still opened is shocking. Probably because they scam their customers and not much you can do if you reserve a table. Go to a real tea house on Tampa this place doesn't even make their own food! There's no kitchen!! Older lady is not friendly and is not nice to her worker! read more

the manager Margaret made the poor server cry and when I handed the server the tip she told her to make sure to put it in the tip jar. I asked the poor server and she states that she doesn't get to keep her tips that the manager Margaret takes them all . Wage fraud???? read more

My girlfriend Lesley and I came to this wonderful tea room for lunch before walking around town. I LOVED it. The chicken salad was amazing. The inside is decorated so nice. The staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable. I loved it so much I came back the following week with another friend. He wasn't thrilled but was a real sport. Turns out he LOVED the chicken salad as well. Definitely worth the trip. I'll be back to try all the other teas. read more

Honestly, I felt like I was crashing someones wedding when I walked in this place. Just flowers, lace, and harp music playing everywhere. Definitely a girly spot It's like an over sweetness actually, and it's very hard for me to imagine a straight American male liking this place. If you're into syrupy sweet on steroids, this is definitely for you. The food. I enjoyed my lunch--ordered 1/2 egg curry sandwich, along with a comforting bowl of creamy potato asparagus soup. The portions are small, however, I am wanting to re train myself on correct portion sizes so this was perfect for me. . . and it's a tea room, so the expectation for me is not mass quantities of food. Service was very cute and the vibe was really small town to me. Inside the store one can find various teas and accessories, books, gifts, as well as other teas. I was so happy we picked this place ! I took my grandmother out for her birthday for high tea, I make the reservation day of. We weren't able to get the platter of goodies due to the limited time that I called for the reservation. What we got instead was the lunch for one a little small plate of sandwiches which were soooo amazing. We also got the peach tea which was amazing too and the desert for one that we split. I was so happy with the place and the ambiance was adorable. The only down fall is the drive but it is totally worth it. I will definitely be coming back soon for the tier food experience !!! read more

Perfect little tea room! I'm obsessed with tea rooms and afternoon tea, and this place really brought it! The bite size sandwiches we delicious! The scones were FABULOUS and they have proper clotted cream and jam! I brought my mom and two of my aunts and they all loved it! The selection of teas were great and I even brought home some scones for my husband because he loves English scones and tea! Very nice afternoon, staff was amazingly friendly and the owner couldn't have been nicer! Fabulous place wouldn't change a thing! read more

This is another place I had been meaning to visit for a while. I am a tea fan so cannot believe it has taken me this long to check out Angel Tea Room. The first thing that happened after sitting down was that the owner came over and told us about the teas they had available. My eyes started popping when I realized that she had spoken more than 10 words to describe their orange cookie tea and then she kept going for about half a minute, just to describe the flavors of that one tea. Then she went on to describe two other teas they had just brewed (a rooibos and another black tea). For those of you who typically describe your tea using the words "hot" or "cold" or "sweet" or "unsweet", some of the descriptions may go over your head, but then again you will come to this place to try something new. I was just happy to have finally met a local tea sommelier. You can also eat at this place. The portions are not typical American-sized portions, more like the lunch fare you would get at a French restaurant, but the food is very tasty. I ordered the soup and sandwich. The tomato basil soup was creamy and delicious and the almond chicken croissant half-sandwich had sweet flavors in every bite. I would definitely get that sandwich again. Some of the others in our group really liked the chicken wraps. There are neat tea products (tea, tea pots, tea pot covers, loose tea strainers, etc) to buy in the front shop. The decor was a little x-mas-y in the dining area, but still a cute place to gather with friends. At the table next to us was a little 5 year old girl who was in her element at her tea party. The owner and waitresses were nice and enjoyed engaging in conversation with us. Their website has some info but not the full menu. This experience was the best of any tea outings we have tried, which have been all over this country! Everything was perfect: lots of free parking right outside the door and about 25 feet away was an open air parking lot. There are no steps which is great for seniors! When you walk in you are greeted and seated within minutes and the two teas of the day are mentioned, though you can choose any of the 130 teas they stock. The decor is adorable and the little shop attached is full of interesting items for sale. Then the head baker brings out a 3 tiered stand just loaded with tasty and beautiful food! The owner tells you what everything is, and it is more than enough food for even the heartiest of eaters! But we just couldn't stop eating it down to the bare crumbs. Sandwiches, canapes, fruit, kabobs, scones, cake, shortbread, cheesecake, you just can't imagine all the goodies they provide. Plus the kind staff doesn't rush you: we were there for 2 hours. We so enjoyed our time at the Angel Tea Room and have already made return reservations! Go, you won't be disappointed. read more

Cute restaurant and food was really good. We were only told they had 3 tea choices then later were told they had a huge list so that was disappointing. The service wasn't very good- the waitress would give some attitude anytime we asked for anything, I would understand if it was busy but it wasn't. Would still recommend. read more

I have been going to this tea shop since I was a child. I love it. The food is great and the baked goods are to die for. They also have a very extensive selection of teas and the specials change daily. The autumn teas are my favorite. Yes, their interior decor might need a facelift, but that is just part of the charm of Angel's. read more

Angel Tea room was a total afternoon experience! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the huge selection of teas. We received excellent service and the owner even checked on our table. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken salad croissant sandwich, which was amazing. Others in my group had a wrap, salads, and soups and everyone was very pleased with their selections. The atmosphere is a serene garden escape, perfect for special occasions or just grabbing a relaxing meal.
