I wish they allowed me to give this place zero stars. I got my eyelash extensions done here only three days ago for $40. After being promised that they would last two weeks this is what they look like. Half of them fell out and because the tech wasn't experienced or trained she placed one set of lashes so poorly that It gave me an eye infection. I went into the shop today to get my money back and the tech cursed me out and refused to give me all of my money back. She said she didn't know how to remove them and when I asked for a license she had nothing to show. DONT EVER COME HERE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !!! Will certainly be reporting to the Connecticut state cosmetology board. read more

My friend gets her eyebrows done here and they looked so good that I decided to take my niece. Her eyebrows were done perfectly and the lady had a lot of patience, my niece was scared. She had her eyebrows threaded before in the mall and had a horrible experience, which also left her with many bumps. After this time she said she would do it again. You would never had known that she just got them done. And NO bumps. It is all about technique. Fyi, they only take cash. read more

I come here every 2 weeks to get my eyebrows done. I really like the way the owner does my eyebrows. She understands that I want my brows full but neat. She isn't rough with the threading and never leaves me with scars. It's $10 for an eyebrow thread which is pretty normal for price. They also have a large parking lot in the back. I stopped in on Friday night for my first-ever brow threading experience. The women at the salon were all friendly and the woman who did my brows did a beautiful job. She asked if I wanted tinting to make things look fuller, and I'm so glad I did. I cannot stop looking at my gorgeous brows! Prices are reasonable, too! I have a new triweekly habit. Really nice staff here. They take good care of the salon and sanitize everything from what I saw. It was appointment only for a while but I think they take walk ins now. Just moved here from Miami and was trying to find a threading salon that would meet the standards of the place I frequented in florida. Puja was the tech who did my brows and she did an awesome job. The only reason I wouldn't give all 5 stars is because the threading wasn't 100% clean but I have very high standards. But she is a damn close second! After recently moving to Hartford from Boston and getting my eyebrows botched at a nails/waxing salon Downtown, I've been very nervous about trying any more new local threading or waxing places. However, I'm SO glad I decided to take a chance on this salon! I called in on a Saturday afternoon and the woman on the phone was very friendly and said the wait wasn't bad so I could walk in. The salon has a large parking lot behind it, so it was easy to find and park my car (no parking meters to pay for, which was a plus). There were 2 women working and even though there were 3 people ahead of me, I only waited for about 15 minutes to get my eyebrows done. I told her I was trying to grow back my eyebrows after having them done too thin, and she did an amazing job (she was able to see where the last eyebrow waxing had gone wrong, and worked around it)! I was able to tip on my credit card (in Cambridge/Boston I was used to needing to bring cash for tip), which was super convenient. The price was super reasonable and worth it! The place is strange to find the first time you go especially if you aren't familiar with Elmwood Center. It was empty when I got there but that's just because unless multiple people show up at the exact same time, then there would be no line for something that takes only 10 minutes! I love Puja! She originally started at Brow Art at Westfarms mall and has moved to her own location. She's the sweetest person ever who cares about her clients. She really takes her time doing the brows, but it does not take 20 minutes like I have experienced in the past. Unlike other threading places who give everyone that generic super thin eyebrow, she keep the brows looking thick (in a natural but shaped way) and really takes her time to shape every little hair into place. I've been going to her for almost 4 years now and honestly will not let anyone else touch my eyebrows but her. I get compliments on my brows all the time. Being middle eastern, I've been gifted with thick eyebrows. I'm VERY picky with threaders. I travel from Clinton(hour commute) just to get my eyebrows threaded here. She takes her time and makes sure you leave satisfied. After my eyebrow threader of 7 years moved, I was recommended this salon. I constantly get compliments and I might have to admit that she's even better than my last threader. She also carries rose water which is amazing to use. Lotion will sometimes make your skin breakout but the rose water makes the redness and any bump go away within an hour or two. read more
