I came on Friday June 28th around 6:00 pm. I come here ALL THE TIME. Mona does my eyebrows and Mona does a great job. I love the way she does them. This time my eye brows were done by someone else - big mistake. I think her name was Maheck? She left a huge bald spot on my left eye brow that was not there before. When I told her about it she tried to say she didn't touch it. Then I told her Mona does my eyebrows and never leaves them like this. Then she said it was because she cut my eyebrows with the scissors. Mona trims my eyebrows with the scissors all the time and never leaves me with a bald spot. I am not happy with the result. I will still come here but make sure only Mona touches my eyebrows not Maheck. read more

I had never gotten my eyebrows threaded before and went here after a good friend recommended this place specifically. I walked in on Saturday morning around 10:30 and only had to wait a few minutes for my turn. There wasn't much of a bedside manner, more matter-of-fact but both of the women working were friendly. I explained it was my first time, so she walked me through the steps. I am VERY sensitive to most waxes and lotions and break out whenever I get my eyebrows waxed, so I was anxious to see how I'd react to this. My eyebrows were pink and slightly puffy for a couple of hours but no breakouts and literally 2 hours later you would have no idea, whereas I am usually puffy for a day or so. Went here per suggestion of a fellow Yelper. I used to go to place in the mall, which was out of the way and inconsistent. The girl here was very friendly, didn't talk much. She listened to what I wanted and started her magic. Very meticulous just felt mild tugging which is normal. I have been having my eyebrows threaded about a year and a half. Yes, when you first start out you can feel it and might get puffy...but once you have been going for a while that goes away. Absolutely terrible. Don't go here. I went here once after working so hard for OVER A YEAR to grow out my eyebrows from a previous bad experience. I had a clear definition on what was my eyebrow shape and what were the extra growths. The growths were very distinct as I was plucking my eyebrows at home to keep my shape as I grew my eyebrows to be thicker. This woman had no regard for my preference when I said I only want a clean up. My eyebrows are now thinner than the thickness of my pinkey finger and less than 50% of the thickness I walked in with. And she rounded my eyebrows out when I had an obvious straight and natural shape that was not over-arched. This shape does not suit my round face at all. On top of that, when she trimmed the top of my eyebrows with the scissors, she didn't cut straight. There was a bump in my right eyebrow. When I asked her to fix it she kept cutting around it. I was so horrified that she was going to make it thinner than my left eyebrow so I told her to stop and went home and tried to fix it myself. Her threading technique might have been good. This is the most pain I've ever felt during an eyebrow threading but I don't think it was her technique, I think she was removing so much of my eyebrows that she was pulling my "core" eyebrow hairs. A day later, I have tiny scab flecks under both of my eyebrows and they still burn. I think if she actually cleaned up my extras like I asked, it would not have been so painful. And then their pay screen is so bold in offering the lowest automatic tip amount to be 20%. If you're going to expect a minimum 20% tip, you need to do a good job. I shouldn't be leaving your salon to cry in my bathroom mirror as I try and trim and pluck my eyebrows to at least get my shape back even if you removed all my growth. If you care about your eyebrow shape and thickness, yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go. read more

I have been to Unique Eyebrow Threading twice and both times I had my eyebrows threaded and tinted. The first time they turned out great but someone different did them the second time and I wasn't impressed. The tint was way too dark for my face, it stained outside of my eyebrows, and very patchy. I had to spend 20 minutes with a q-tip and different oils to clean it up. Additionally, I woke up the next morning with a scratch on my face from the threading. I am new to getting my eyebrows threaded, so this is only the second place I've ever been to. She did a really good job. I went in on a Friday morning and I just waited a couple of minutes. She was quick and it didn't hurt much, and my brows looks great. And 9 dollars seems very reasonable to me. I am still getting used to the "bedside manner" that is clearly part of the experience with threading. IE, there is no "So how are you doing?" or "Crazy weather we're having." It's just "Sit. Hold. I only go to this place when I have no other option. The owner is very rude. When I had walked in today, no greeting, nothing. She sat on the couch on her phone. I took a seat and she said "Come" who does that? Are you kidding me? That's not how a business owner should be. She doesn't offer cream after or give a quick massage. No massage? Do not go here. I wish I listened to the previous reviews. Since this was the only threading & tinting place in my area, I decided I would give it a go. What a BAD decision. I have been growing out my eyebrows out since the beginning of quarantine. The woman who did the threading name is Mona. I specifically asked her if I could keep my eyebrows thick and tint in any gaps (where my hair did not grow) she looked at my eyebrows and said yes. She continued to ask me how thick I wanted them. We looked in the mirror and I showed her. She proceeded to thread off all of my new growth leaving me with very thin eyebrows. Then she said to me, tinting won't help fill in any gaps. I am so frustrated. When she was doing the threading she asked me to hold my eyes open, This can't possibly be effective. She couldn't properly see the angles. In addition she took off more on one brow than the other. I honestly wonder if she understood what I asked for from the beginning. I would have been ok if she told me, It wasn't possible. Im upset that she told me I could get something that she couldn't achieve. Not only did I not get a tint, she took off all of my brow.... If you are looking for style, communication, professionalism and or bedside manner, This is not the place. They may know how to thread, but they definitely DO NOT know how to style. This was my first visit to unique. The store is pretty big n had loads of accessories n a chair at the threading station. I have been to a few other threading places, this place is unlike all of them. The chair you get to sit on is comfortable however there was no mirror in front and dint like the service. To me this place dint feel like a saloon. Threading was painful and I was left with few spots of rupture. Other saloons give a quick massage with some moisture after threading where as here you gotta do it yourself. This lady doesn't even dust off the hair after threading, this was very irritating and my eyes were hurt! Will never suggest this place! read more

Generally, they do an okay job with eyebrows. I prefer threading over waxing, but there are still not a lot of places that offer this service. Unique Eyebrow Threading is walk in only, which is great since I'm horrible at making appointments...but bad because I've always had to wait at least 30 minutes to get my eyebrows done. The price is right but if a place opens closer to home for me, I'd go there instead. read more

When I first walked in, I thought I was in the wrong place because of all the Indian clothing and jewelry in the shop. So don't worry if you're confused when you walk in, you're in the right spot! This place was ok. There are some people who can thread with a lightness of touch, but when heavy handed, threading is painful, and irritates my skin to the point of red bumps appearing on my skin. This was my experience here. The woman did an ok job on my eyebrows, but not exactly what I would call symmetrical. She wasn't exactly pleasant either. Been here twice, threading has been quick and the staff is mostly silent for the most part which I appreciate. One thing I noticed is that the price has shifted between $10.60 and $10.00, this being the price for men. Threading itself is good depending who you get, but all you get is a tissue to wipe off your eyebrows, and they don't sanitize their hands for each customer. read more

I came here to get my eyebrows threaded it took me 6 months to grow them out since last I went elsewhere they messed them up! I used to go to the Vernon spot and the lady there helped me take care of them so when I found the new spot they moved to I was exited to go in but the lady that did them before was no longer there but I assumed hey why not they must know what there doing!!! I HATE THIS PLACE! I walked in today. The place seemed fine except that no one was friendly. After they did my eyebrows, my left eyebrow was larger than the right in width. The tail of my right eyebrow was somehow larger than the thinner shape of my eyebrow. My right eyebrow was larger in length. The worst part of it all was that my eyebrows are two completely different shapes. If I were you, I'd go to a different place! I had to fix my eyebrows when I went home, but that does not change the fact that my eyebrows are two different shapes. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! read more
