I would say this farmers market is more purchasing food and products. There was only one vegetable stand and one stand with meat/eggs. Upon entry I saw the most unique bird houses, where I'm excited to purchase one for a new place. Food items I purchased included chocolate from Ecuador, tres leches cake, and some potstickers. It was definitely a good eating day .

I found a place to sit in the sun at a picnic table. Plugged in my head phone, cranked some music and enjoy my dumplings. Gorgeous day to be out in the sun. Nice breeze, and warm temps. Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

If you have any scheduling concerns, you can give them a call and they will give you an ETA accurate within ten minutes! If you'll be out of the house, you can reschedule for another day. Unlike other delivery services, they will make sure you're home and not leave your frozen meat at the door unattended. I will be canceling all other delivery subscriptions and switching to Hardies. You can even tip your driver in cash if you wish.

Hardie's Direct curbside pickup service has been an AWESOME alternative to HEB online ordering or…read morestanding in line at grocery stores. All you have to do is submit & pay your order online at least 1 day ahead, then select your pickup time (8AM - 3PM (Mon-Sat)). When it's time to go get your groceries, you drive up to the warehouse, give them your order number, then pop open the trunk. They will wheel your groceries out and put them directly into the car trunk for you. We have ordered from Hardie's a couple times so far, and the produce has consistently been good quality (a few bruised items here and there, but nothing major). Since we are only ordering for 2 people, some of the bulk perishable items are not really an option for us. But this would be an even better deal for families or homes with multiple roommates! Driving Tip: Hardie's provides some directions and instructs customers to look for the orange cones. In addition to that, we've noticed you can enter the business park from Burnet or Metric. Both sides work, but Hardie's is a little easier to find if you enter from Metric.

(I gave him $7) If your in the mood for great organic produce and some smart ass rapport... this is the place for you. You will only find them at Barton Creek Farmers Market on Saturdays... I think they drive quite a way to sell in Austin. These guys are in the southeast corner of the Barton Creek Farmers Market and here nearly year round. They have hot house tomatoes in the winter, tomatoes in the summer, peaches, black berries, blue berries, strawberries and FIGS!!!! when this stuff is in season. They also grow an array of great veges, pintos, black-eyed and purple-hull peas (when in season) and sell some home-canned jams and fresh flowers in the spring before the Texas heat gets to them. Once, I had a problem with some tomatoes, mentioned it to them the following week and they gladly replaced them for free. My favorite is is the weekly rapport with Cathy and Don Miller. Cathy is down-to-earth, funny and very sweet. She always remembers conversations and seems interested in the story. Don, well I tell Don, Cathy is his better half. He is sassy, funny and we constantly have this weekly 30-second smart-ass banter that leaves us both smiling. Go for the entertainment, but the produce is AWESOME.

And we got to sample the different varieties of their honey! We even got to do a side by side comparison of their Texas honey vs a honey made in Mexico. And I gotta say - Texas honey ALL the way. I was blown away by the different flavors. Madagascar vanilla made with REAL vanilla bean BLEW my mind. Best honey I've ever had thus far in my life. Their orange and cinnamon was a close second. And of course just simple regular honey was eons better than the competition I tasted. And you can only buy those diff varieties there at their factory location! Husband had a great time, really made his day. I def recommend taking this tour if you want something cool and educational to do on a weekend!
