I get lamb meat too, and sometimes I get something new. I do love the tortillas Mesocano. Made with tallow, or butter, or lard. The butter is great for breakfast. But mostly I like the tallow. I also got rosemary focaccia bread from Texas French bread company. I always feel these ladies that work here are a little rude. They will not sell before 9am. Even though only one is setting up and the other is just standing there. I'm not sure why 2 people can't help 1 customer each. I was being helped while the other watched and there was a line behind me. It's a turn off. I rarely eat bread. Rosemary focaccia doesn't have a rosemary flavor. Pure Luck has their strawberry chèvre again. And I love it. So amazing on crackers. They won 4 awards in 2026! Impressive for sure. And rightfully earned.

I arrived at Texas Farmers Market around 10 AM on Saturday and the market was already hopping. It…read morewas a bit busy with traffic around the market, but plenty of parking in a dirt lot nearby, and even more in a paved lot if you're willing to walk a bit. The market stalls included some fresh produce, some meats and fish, lots of preserved items like jams, fermented goods, and pickled goods. Several stalls offered vegan and gluten free baked goods. More stalls offered tinctures, herbals, and stuff like that, and there were a couple stalls with craft goods like jewelry and art. Oh, also many prepared food options, and plenty of picnic tables at which to eat. I was impressed by the number and variety of stalls. There wasn't much produce variety, but it's late September so likely a time of year thing. While here, I saw lots of families and couples wandering the stalls. Every producer I talked to was friendly. I left with okra, a seriously large Armenian cucumber, peach jam, pickled carrots, and a bottle of cider. I also picked up a large donation from Lone Star Lettuce, which supports a nonprofit I work with.

Some vendors (like Talisman Coffee) aren't here any more, despite being advertised. My last visit, I got a bad jar of pickles (at $10) from one vendor. In general, there's not much at this market, and what is there is very expensive.

Vendors range from fused glass jewelry and delicate pottery to honey and bee products, children's handmade clothing, paper works of art, ballcaps, bow ties and scarves for your stylish pets, Indian style bedspreads and tablecloths, and more. Farmers markets are supposed to be welcoming, family-friendly spaces where local vendors, farmers, nonprofits, faith groups, and community members can come together safely and respectfully. Unfortunately, I witnessed something that made the environment feel anything but welcoming. There was a small religious group with a table at the market, and as someone passed by, they shouted offensive racial and religious slurs at the men working the table. It was completely uncalled for. Rather than engaging in any kind of respectful conversation, this person chose to be hateful and intimidating in a public community space. I understand that the organizers may not be able to identify or remove every person who behaves this way, but I do think the market should be more proactive about making its expectations clear. A farmers market should feel safe for everyone, including vendors and community organizations that may be more likely to face harassment. Clear signage, public reminders, or stronger policies against hate speech and intolerance would go a long way. I hope the organizers take this seriously and make it clear that racism, religious intolerance, and harassment are not acceptable at this market. The community deserves a space that truly feels supportive, inclusive, and safe for all.

The Brushy Creek Farmers Market is a new fledgling market in Round Rock that could use some…read moresupport. I rate this place a 3 because there is some work to be done to get this market ramped up and really stocked with goodies. I visited during the weekly Saturday 9 am to 1 pm hours to find a small handful of vendors. There were several arts and crafts stands, a masseuse, and a couple of jelly/preserves sellers. There were a few produce vendors, but selection was pretty limited. I did get some nice locally grown squash. I'm not sure how much the limited selection had to do with the horrific summer we've had or if it was the newness of the market. My favorite vendor was Richardson Farms. They were offering free range eggs, chicken, pork products (including fresh uncured bacon), and grass fed beef. The eggs and pork we bought were reasonably priced and freaking delicious. This isn't yet a major farmer's market, so some visitors might be a bit disappointed with the selection. It is my hope that this one will pick up momentum and draw more shoppers and vendors.

There was only about 9 vendors there but there was enough stuff to make a few meals all around. Fresh baked breads and organic pastas, fresh veggies such as squash, maters, taters, and onions, jellies, salsas, farm raised meats, and even cupcakes for dessert! Not to mention some jewelry, honey and pralines. Living out in the hinterlands of Cedar Park, I was super stoked to find out about this (thanks Chris S!). I haven't found any CSA's to deliver to my house, but I can now order from some of these folks online and then pick up on Saturdays here. And it beats the hell outta getting up early Saturdays and driving all the way to San Antonio (aka Sunset Valley). Richardson Farms provides grass fed beef and pork and chicken, and another stall had what's called "design your dine" with pre-frozen fresh organic dinners that you just thaw out and cook and they say each one is only about 500 calories. Came home with some zukes, some pasta, a coupla pork chops and some fanfreakintasticly fresh pico de gallo from Kala's Kuisine, which apparently has won 2 years in a row now at the Hot Sauce Festival (and I can see why). I would encourage all my fellow Northerners to check this out.....but I still wanna keep it my own private farmers market. Enigma.

The dumplings are 6 for $12.00 but they threw in an extra dumpling for me, which I appreciated. I got the pork dumplings. They were fresh, hot and steamy. I found a place to sit in the sun at a picnic table. Plugged in my head phone, cranked some music and enjoy my dumplings. Gorgeous day to be out in the sun. Nice breeze, and warm temps. Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

It feels like there's something for everyone! The owners are so friendly too and very welcoming. What I really appreciate is how convenient the parking is. There are plenty of garage spots available, so you don't have to stress about finding a place to park. And since it's located right at The Domain, you can make a whole day out of it -- shop, eat, and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
