Two boys came on July 3rd…read more- one wearing earbuds the entire time he was there and the other with pants down to his butt crack. They did not introduce themselves...so I asked them their names. Attitude from the beginning from earbud guy (Max) - when I asked him if he had a busy day ahead, he stated that he had other jobs but he didn't care because he didn't need the money because he had no bills. Both of them did a slipshod job - from skipping a window or two entirely to not wiping up the water in the channels or window panes of my almost new Pella Windows that were wood and stained. When I asked Max to please wipe off the pooled water, he said he didn't have to because it would dry up by itself - I pointed out they were wood windows and I wanted them wiped dry - he said he didn't need to because they were vinyl...Later when I asked if he was finished with the kitchen windows, he said yeah...I told him there were still cobwebs in the corner of the screen and he needed to clean that off. His response was he had wiped the outside of the screen... I could go on, but you get the point. Insolent, rude and unappreciative of the job he had and no pride in his work. I called the office and asked to speak to the manager - she said I should just continue asking them to redo the work until I was happy with it because it was guaranteed. I do not feel I need to manage and correct workers who should know what their job is and do it well - just as advertised. There were there about one hour and 20 minutes total - and did a lousy job. I was billed $442 for this work. No one from the office ever contacted me and they did not offer to remedy the situation in any way. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY DO NOT CARE AND OBVIOUSLY DO NOT TRAIN OR DISCIPLINE THEIR EMPLOYEES.

I was a bit worried that I would have to over pay since I would not be able to get competing estimates but Kristen made me count all my windows (43) large and small and describe them. That was a lot of work for me because I had to research types of windows but in the process I met some interloping squirrels who were squatting in my attic. Goddamn lazy cats, I should fire all four of them. Anyway, a little serendipity there, a quick trip to Blains farm and Fleet and I was able to trap and deport the whole squirrel gang to a suburb that doesn't vote the way I do. In the meantime I got an estimate that was half the estimate I got 6 years ago when I last thought about having my windows cleaned. Half! So 6 years ago the sticker shock of that estimate led me to buy a two story ladder only to find out I've become afraid of heights so my windows have gone a decade without being cleaned. The ClearVu crew was scheduled within a week, I got a 7 hour window for their arrival and they were in 10 minutes earlier than the earliest projected time. This was very exciting because of the pandemic quarantine. They were my first guests since the plumber 4 months ago. One worker was in on his birthday, but I didn't know so I didn't get him a present. I feel a little bad about that. They did an excellent job. My house is so much brighter with all the windows sparkling clean. Well all but one, as one of my cats who can't be bothered to patrol for squirrels invading the attic, Scotty (Montgomery Scott) decided he needed to wipe his drool all over the window facing the park. The reason I have cats now instead of dogs is that cats usually don't drool. I'm not cleaning that drool spot now that I know I can pay someone to clean my windows, so that's just going to have to be like that until next year when I get ClearVu back. (Mind you, this is 18 days after I already had another company do my windows). When I told Shirley I already had my windows done, her tone changed and she said 'And you didn't think to call us and let us know?" I don't know if this company only does windows part-time, as she made a comment on how I wanted my work done on a "Saturday". The company I used in the past for roofing/gutter issues had closed, so I reached out to AD Roofing based on a recommendation from my realtor. As far as I can tell this issue has been resolved. One of their technicians cleaned and re-caulked the corner section and I haven't noticed any water below it since. The only "complaint" I have is that I didn't know what exactly they had done until a few days later when I reached out to find out and I didn't know how much I was being charged until a bill arrived in the mail. I'm glad it wasn't an expensive job and they could get it done so quickly and easily. I just wish there was a little more communication so I was in the loop right away about what was being done and how much it would cost.

They also cut down my chimney; and installed a new ridge vent system. I felt they were honest, reliable; and they did a nice job.
