Once again impressed by Dylan's response time and skills. He was on time, had the right tools for the job and as he says "loves a challenge". Quick and efficient work on something he never put together before which was an adjustable bed. Cannot speak highly enough of his abilities, fast work, and reasonable price. Eddie originally came out to give me pricing on adding cream city veneer to one of our fireplaces…read more The goal was to have it match our other chimney's design. He said it would be basically the same price to get a new chimney because of all the work involved, so we opted for this option. The chimney we were updating had one "band" of design, and we wanted the new design to have 5 or six "bands". Eddie sent an example picture of his work with two "bands", and I said we would not be willing to remove a perfectly good chimney for that subtle of a change. He responded no problem he could do whatever design we wanted and it was last (see screenshot of pic and convo). I offered to purchase the brick/mortar myself, because I was familiar with the one place in Milwaukee you could purchase them from. I sent him a picture of our existing chimney and foundation, so there would be no confusion because he offered to pick it up. Well he bought the wrong color which we noticed when he brought the materials over ahead of time. Instead of exchanging light cream for gray, he said he would be able to fix it. When the new chimney was 75% complete it had one "band", so I immediately called him out and asked what happened to the agreed upon design. He said he couldn't do one, and was unwilling to remove two courses so the chimney could be fixed. It was about to storm, so we were truly stuck. I let a few days go by to see how the mortar dried, and needless to say the gray mortar never turned into a light sand color. He is now quoting us $1200 to fix the mortar. Our house was built in 1890, so we don't want to put our already delicate flue through more demo. I have never come across a more dishonest individual, beware!
