Angela is magical! I have never felt more at ease being photographed. From my wedding dress fittings to the day of, beginning to end Angela was marvelous to work with. I felt comfortable - so did my wedding guests! The process was amazing. I am absolutely in love with the photos and in awe with how natural they are sprinkled with honestly and humor. Looking at my photos made me relive my wedding day in a way that far outweighs any video recording could achieve. The expertise, care and attention to detail begins immediately. My wedding planning occurred during the height of COVID-19 restrictions. I found this fabulous lady last minute (2 weeks before the event) and she made it happen. If anyone is looking for candid critique, constructive criticism, and useful advice in both how to take better shots and properly organise them in a portfolio...go see Angela. What I really liked is how she got to know us in terms of what subjects we're interested in, and where we thought we'd like to improve. She stressed though that it's our personal style we should focus on developing, not anyone else's look. Secondly, I liked how she instantly pointed out the great things about a shot of yours. Only afterward would she say IF and HOW it could be improved, before quickly moving on to the rest of your work. She'd ask about technical details so she could advise on slight adjustments when in similar circumstances again. My husband and I decided to have a small wedding at city hall recently, and wanted to keep our budget to a minimum. That was kinda the whole point of doing it at city hall. We had been searching for a photographer and Angela's work really caught our eye. There is something about her photos that make you connect with the subject, and the documentary/journalistic style is exactly what we wanted. We wanted to "document" the event. Angela also has a really great, outgoing, fun personality that made everyone (all 8 ppl she met for the first time) feel super comfortable. I have known for a long time that Angela is a gifted photographer and admired her work. It was a true gift to have her photograph our wedding this past weekend. She turned around the pictures in just a few days and I can't stop scrolling through them. Angela is amazing! She use to come into some of our dance classes at the Joffrey School of Ballet and shoot. The photos were beautiful and captured the essence of the movement perfectly. I cannot begin to say how glad I am that I chose Angela Cappetta to shoot my wedding. From the start, Angela was warm, enthusiastic, professional, friendly, and really listened to us when we met for our initial consultation. She worked with us and made us feel confident that we'd be in good hands on the day of the wedding. From the time we first signed our contract (about a year before the wedding) to the wedding day, Angela stayed in contact with me, which was reassuring and made me feel very special (particularly as many of the wedding industry vendors I've come across are not so responsive or will give that personal touch). On the wedding day, Angela and her wonderful assistant Allison arrived early and, for the rest of the night, were working their butts off to get the best shots and to ensure that our itinerary was covered.
