The buffet is regular fare, decent, but not what you're there for--it's all about the show. The food is served beforehand so you want to arrive early to grab your food and eat in an open pavilion. (The menu for the current buffet is on their website if you want to know beforehand what is served.) You'll make your way to the show when the gate opens. You can watch some axe throwing or check out the gift shop while you wait. We were here in February and it was fairly cold, so we went to the gift shop to stay warm. Please note that everything Is open to the elements, so I would recommend going when the weather is mild. They do have heaters, but it was still cold. Some people brought blankets, which was a great idea. Back to the show...it's like a lot of the shows here, which includes audience engagement. This one is based on a feud between 2 families, all in fun. There is stomping and calling, and sitting on the edge of your seat at times with the log cutting stunts and close races. The competitions are fun to watch and there is enough repartee and stories to add a little interest, but still keep it family friendly. There are small prizes handed out to the smaller participants in the audience at the end of each competition round. We enjoyed the show enough that we will likely return in future.

My boyfriend and I came to walk around and check out the shops. He enjoyed the hot sauce store and I enjoyed the art gallery featuring works of local artists. There is also a zip line feature in the center of the square and movie theater. The zip line looked to be the most popular attraction. The tour of the square took 30 minutes including our stop at a couple of the shops.

At the end, you're going to find yourself wandering through the gift shop, and I'm not going to encourage you or discourage you either way, but it's a great place to meander while you're partner or spouse are in the bathroom.

We were served fried chicken and pulled pork which those that ate it said was good. I had a vegetarian meal which you have to request when you get the tickets. They served me a large portion of steamed veggies and a large portion of veggies and rice. I also ate the corn on the cob and mashed potatoes and I had the creamy soup which was very good (but does have a chicken broth in it). The drinks are Coke products or iced tea. One thing to know, they stop serving food when the show starts so make sure you get there at least 30 minutes before so you can get seated and get served. The show was really entertaining! The kids (7, 9, and 12) were mesmerized the entire show. The have an entire pool under the floor which they dive into. You can buy beer and other adult beverages at the bar outside the theater. Unsure we came at 7 they said pick tickets up 720, we returned 2 lines, the only sign saying prepaid tickets proceed through scanners. Went through scanner, nope VIPs only. The security directed us to the long line that wraps half around the building. It's frustrating and we weren't the only ones to experience this. Once in line, you proceed through the metal detector, past security, there is a booth, where the employees ask your name. Once you provide it, they hand you tickets, and you proceed to the photo area. The staff takes your photos to sell to you later during the show. Before getting to the show and seating, you stay in an area where there is a 3 person band playing, and signing.They do country, as well as some classic rock. The band themselves were very good, and got the crowd to participate in their show, calling out where they are from, and being overall interactive. While in the area, they sell refreshments, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, popcorn, glasses and so on. At approximately 820pm, the staff directs you upstairs to proceed through the red curtains into the seating. If you buy regular tickets your in rows 4+ going up. These seats provide an overall better view of the arena, it's not so high you can't see, maybe 10 rows to top? The premium seats are first 3 rows, if you have small children who want to be more interactive in the show and have a better view I would recommend these seats. Our waiter Tim, was a great guy, funny, and attentive to needs. The dinner, was served, starting with a roll, vegetable soup. Next came the Cornish game hen, then mashed potatoes, corn on cob and brisket. Overall the food was good, and lots of it! You get your own mini rotisserie chicken, and 1 scoop of each of the other. Before the show starts you pick your desert, our options were apple crisp, or chocolate coconut cake. We got the crips, which came to us hot, and delicious. You can order drinks from the scan code at the table, or the waiter will come by pre show and ask what you would like to drink. Options were coke products, tea (sweet and unsweetened) lemonade, and water. Moving into the show, so first and foremost, i haven't been to a lot of dinner shows. This one however was great, they had horsemanship, races, competitions and more. Once the show begins the show master, begins by amping up the crowd, 1 side is the north, 1 side the south, they have friendly competitions for both sides during the show. They have you cheer on your team, as they race around obstacles, pick up flags and return the competing against the other side. They also do pig races, where you cheer on the north or south, overall I believe there is 10-11 completions, all fun, and gets you amped up. During the competitions they will bring out people from the crowd (2-3 times) and have them participate in the games, and also a little wagon magic tricks. Besides the completion thy putting shows such as riding horses through and around obstacles, a butterfly show (horses with wings, lights and people acting as butterfly's). They also have some aerial displays and parts of the show. Overall a fun experience minus the mass confusion at the beginning, would recommend going especially if you have children. You won't leave hungry, the food I would say is worth it, the show is worth seeing. Things worth noting, it is a little expensive, tickets for 2 can be north of $100, the drinks, for 2 plastic mason jar alcohol drinks with tip $50+. Be prepared to spend a little. 2 show times, 6 pm, and 830pm.

I don't want to give away all the acts but be on the lookout for sweet Buttercup and the races by both humans and animals. The dinner was plentiful: creamy soup, biscuit, Cornish hen, pulled pork, mashed potato, corn on the cob and refills of sweet tea, water or soft drink. You must show your id to purchase alcohol. You have a choice of coconut chocolate cake or apple turnover. You can purchase a souvenir photo for $35. They have a gift shop. The servers work super hard carrying trays of food, serving you and refilling drinks. You are deemed either North or South based on where you are sitting around the arena. The competition lasts pretty much throughout the show. If you purchased VIP tickets you can pet one of the performing horses after the show.

Fast forward to 2026 and it was my first time coming out to Pigeon Forge to check out Dollywood as I was in town to participate in the inaugural Run Dollywood Half Marathon. Although I had a 2-day park ticket, I needed to save my legs for the race. For both days, I didn't stay very long. It was raining the first day, so I mostly walked around to check everything out. It wasn't too large, but a decent size. Over the 2 days, I did go on 2 rides: Lightning Rod and Blazing Fury. The Lightning Rod was a pretty thrilling ride. They really do have you strapped in tight! The Blazing Fury was entirely indoors, kind of weird, and much more tame in comparison. Some other rides that I saw were Demolition Derby, Lemon Twist which was their version of Disney's Mad Tea Party, and The Amazing Flying Elephants which was their version of Disney's Dumbo. They had quite a few more rides. It was a good mixture of rides for the little ones as well as for the older thrill seekers. While they had a lot of fair type foods at various locations, I only made sure to visit the Grist Mill to try their famous cinnamon bread. I don't have much of a sweet tooth and I thought it was indeed worth it and lived up to the hype!

I appreciate a themed ride that is part dark and part outdoor. From the time that you enter the queue you are immersed in the whole mine theme. You are made to feel that you are about to enter a mine, and if you pay attention in the line area, you'll come to see that it is a condemned mine. The line moves swiftly, or maybe it was because I was one of the first people in line for the day, but I was in a car in no time. The cars allow for up to eight people to ride and are consistently running. You are sent out of the platform and on your way. The theme continues as you see crows and canaries and it looks like you are about to be ground up by a boring machine. I went and look up the history of this ride and see that it was the first of it's kind in the US and at that time held several records. At the time it was the biggest investment into the park itself.

The acrobatics, dancing, and swashbuckling was captivating and impressive and well exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the birds and dancing sea lion. Service was great and the staff did a great job of taking care of you while you enjoyed the entertainment. The food was well-portioned, but a bit dry and lacking in flavor.
