My boyfriend and I came to walk around and check out the shops. He enjoyed the hot sauce store and I enjoyed the art gallery featuring works of local artists. There is also a zip line feature in the center of the square and movie theater. The zip line looked to be the most popular attraction. The tour of the square took 30 minutes including our stop at a couple of the shops.

Fried chicken, barbecue, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and their signature creamy vegetable soup. The show itself was fun natured and the cast were fun and energetic as well as funny. At the end, you're going to find yourself wandering through the gift shop, and I'm not going to encourage you or discourage you either way, but it's a great place to meander while you're partner or spouse are in the bathroom.

We were served fried chicken and pulled pork which those that ate it said was good. I had a vegetarian meal which you have to request when you get the tickets. They served me a large portion of steamed veggies and a large portion of veggies and rice. I also ate the corn on the cob and mashed potatoes and I had the creamy soup which was very good (but does have a chicken broth in it). The drinks are Coke products or iced tea. One thing to know, they stop serving food when the show starts so make sure you get there at least 30 minutes before so you can get seated and get served. The show was really entertaining! The kids (7, 9, and 12) were mesmerized the entire show. The have an entire pool under the floor which they dive into. You can buy beer and other adult beverages at the bar outside the theater. I also bought the group photo which was 2 pictures for $40. It was expensive but it was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it!

It's something to watch while you eat. The food is fine. You get a lot of it! This is a prix fixe menu, so I don't believe you can pick what you want. You get what you get and you don't throw a fit, basically. You get a whole game hen, for crying out loud. Contrary to what some people think, you are not forced to eat with your hands here. You are provided with forks and spoons. But the game hen is something that you can tuck into with your hands, if you wanted to. You also get soup (poured from the aforementioned foil-lined Tupperware pitcher), a biscuit, mashed potatoes, pulled pork, corn on the cob, and a dessert, which was some sort of vanilla and chocolate coconut cake. It's a lot of food. A beverage is included with the meal, but if you want an alcoholic beverage, then that's a separate charge. As a slow eater I wasn't able to finish my main before dessert came. Got to try both. One bite was enough. The show was decent. Tough to watch at times because of the servers. Even with a broken ankle I limped to our seats, handicapped seating was way up top. Maybe I expected more because of all the positive hype. Generally disappointing experience.

DO NOT ride Mystery Mine with a little kid or someone who doesn't love coasters. From the outside it looks like a fun family ride but little do you know there is two 90degree lifts that are suspenseful and one of them goes straight into a 90 DEGREE DROP. You cannot see either of those lifts or drops and the part you can see is very misleadin. Overall an amazing park and I definitely enjoyed my day.

Mystery Mine was the first ride I rode right after entering the park. It was a great way to start…read morethe day as it started the adrenaline pumping in my body. I appreciate a themed ride that is part dark and part outdoor. From the time that you enter the queue you are immersed in the whole mine theme. You are made to feel that you are about to enter a mine, and if you pay attention in the line area, you'll come to see that it is a condemned mine. The line moves swiftly, or maybe it was because I was one of the first people in line for the day, but I was in a car in no time. The cars allow for up to eight people to ride and are consistently running. You are sent out of the platform and on your way. The theme continues as you see crows and canaries and it looks like you are about to be ground up by a boring machine. I went and look up the history of this ride and see that it was the first of it's kind in the US and at that time held several records. At the time it was the biggest investment into the park itself.

My family and I hit up Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show on our vacation and it was fun!…read more First, I thought the price of the tickets was a little high, although the performance did have a lot of different skilled performers, trained animals, etc. We paid a little bit extra for the premium tickets but I'm not exactly sure what this got us - our seats didn't seem particularly good but they were fine. There was a big dedicated parking lot so parking was easy. Inside the venue, they had face painting and other kid-friendly activities while you were waiting for the show to start. Overall, we all really liked the performance! The acrobats were impressive and the trained animals did a great job. The dinner was mediocre, which was kind of expected. I had heartburn afterwards, so parents beware :) I tried ordering a beer but the website didn't work properly so I couldn't submit payment. Kind of annoying but probably for the best given the heartburn. Our 4 year old really enjoyed the show but did get bored about halfway through, so I guess the length of the show may be a bit better for older kids. Overall, we had a good time, although the price tag was a little high for me. I probably wouldn't come back but I do think it's worth seeing at least once!
