Absolutely loved our visit here!! We went for the Christmas movie series and saw polar express. It was just like watching it in theaters. Sound quality and screen quality we're fantastic! The snacks were affordable and delicious. Love this place!

Very old highly recommend there shows tho ! Went there to go for a comedy show and all functions like any regular show but a very old building lmao

Beautiful theatre! Came for a comedy show and had a wonderful night! They serve liquor, beer and wine, plus snscks! The architecture is absolutely gorgeous and it's not too big so I think every seat has a good view. Staff was wonderful as well! Will definitely be back for a play.

We went to this beautiful theater for a concert. I loved the ambience and theater itself but unfortunately the sound system wasn't working well so we had trouble hearing the singers when the bands played. The sound was going in and out it seems. But overall a great experience.

    So glad to be back

There's no where in Knoxville better than the historic Tennessee Theatre to see a show!!! Whether it's a rock concert, a Broadway musical or watching a film...the Tennessee Theatre is the place to see it. There's not a bad seat in the house, the sound is incredible and the architecture is absolutely brilliant and beautiful. If you get the chance to see ANYTHING in this historical theatre, DO IT!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

For a traveling show this was good. However.... We were not aware that 1. You had to have your ID with your COVID Vaccine card 2. You HAVE to wear a mask the entire time. 3. It was extremely HOT in the theater The Blue Man group was a good 4 star show. There was much not to like or too love to it. Tickets were pricey for what you got. So like I said it was good and a nice night out.

Gorgeous historical theater that has been lovingly maintained like a time capsule of the glamour and glitz of the Art Deco era. I love attending events at this theater, especially now that COVID restrictions have been relaxed or dropped entirely. The theater has bars on multiple floors serving a variety of drinks and snacks, and the bathrooms are kept very clean. The only reason that I'm taking away a star is because the acoustics are not as great as some of the other theaters that I've attended for Broadway touring musicals. (Gammage in Phoenix spoiled me!)

On Friday, September 17th, we attended the Righteous BrothersConcert. We went expecting to hear songs we remembered in our youth and we got them! The Righteous Brothers' songs will live in our minds forever and thanks to Bill Medley and his friends, they still endure through the ages! The staff at the theater was very polite even though the circumstances are though. The long line to enter the venue we're disperse quickly thanks to the efficient process. All in all, a good time!

Gorgeous theater, but poorly managed and way overpriced, with tickets costing more than you'd pay in New York to see a Broadway show.

They have eight screens at this location and offer movies in standard and 3D format. When we want to see something in IMAX we make the trek to the Pinnacle, since this theater does not have it. Also, if you join the Regal Crown Club (free to join) you can earn points for every purchase made. Then, you can redeem these points for concessions, movie tickets, merchandise, and more. Other perks include on Tuesdays, you can purchase discounted movie tickets for $7.99 or less and 50% off popcorn. Know before you go: Parking tickets can be validated at the movie theater for free parking.

This is also the closest theater to UT, so when classes are in session, prepare yourself for the theater to be busier. The nice thing is that you can view (and pick) the seating ahead of time via the Regal website or app. We almost wondered if the theater was open when we came in on a Sunday evening. No one at the box office, customer service, booze area, or taking tickets. Two workers were at concessions and were very friendly and fast. When we asked, "Ummm, who takes our tickets?" they assumed someone was at the ticket stand and one of them had to do double duty and head over there to assist the gathering crowd. The theater itself is older, somewhat rundown/outdated, and very...sticky. ha. There are only 8 theaters off of one hallway, so they are very easy to find. The theater spaces do have stadium seating with stiff padding and seats that manually lean back and have moveable armrests with cupholders. They are probably the OG of stadium seating...the theater equivalent of the original iPhone...innovative and cool at the time, but we have gotten spoiled with better features since then. Overall, we have been to much nicer and updated theaters in the area, but you can't beat this location during a nice out in downtown.

When we arrived, the lady up front for our check-in asked how we had heard of them. I'm like... "Uh... It's art. We go where art is. We love art." I couldn't think of any other answer that fit the boxes she was checking. I love art, and that's where you can find me. It didn't fit any of her checkboxes, she waited a moment like she was waiting for me to say something else before saying, "Oh, that's a new reason we're going to have to add" or something like that. One of the usher girls understood what I was saying. No shame on the lady... it was just odd. I don't just hear about museums. I see if a city has one and I go. In my world, that's a 100,000 percent normal thing. I still laugh about it. You'll have fun here. If you've visited major art museums in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Philly, Chicago, NY, or SF, you'll still have fun here, but it won't be the famous paintings you're looking for. If you're in Knoxville and have time to spare, I'd visit, but it's not an absolute must-do thing.
