Sorry we came to give you money and appreciate your products. The cappuccino was the worst cappuccino I've ever paid for in my life. I know it may sound like an exaggeration, but it was truly terrible. It was straight out of a cheap machine and served with nothing: no spoon, no sugar in a small paper cup. I couldn't taste the coffee and I had to beg for some sugar. They gave us one tiny sugar package each, I guess they were trying to save sugar for the pastries. Stick to the pastries, pass on the coffee. We threw away the two "cappuccinos". I'd still go just for their extremely good pastries and ignore the poorly trained staff.

Aux Pains de La Ferme is just down the street…read morefrom the train station; an easy walk there and back up toward Versailles where we spent our morning. The inviting display tempts patrons with a array of choices. How could one go wrong? My fruit tart tasted heavenly - flaky, not too sweet, a wonderful tartness from the berries. My only disappointment was reaching the last bite! My husband's pastry was delightful as well. Quick, efficient service keeps customers moving. Highly recommend!

The apricot tarte wasn't too sweet and it really let the apricot flavor shine. The pistachio eclair was sweeter but not too heavy nor the frosting or cream inside grainy/sugary. The tart sweetness of raspberries on top helped brighten the pistachio cream. The choux pastry for the shell was light and airy. Their pasteis de nata was also a nice surprise. After eating many pastel de nata in Portugal earlier this year, I can genuinely say Antoinette's version is right up there with the best of them! Perfectly flakey buttery crust and a lightly sweet egg custard cream....so good!

We had just finished some pretty bitchin crepes, which, ps, I could eat a Nutella…read morecrepe every day for the rest of my life and die happy - I digress - but as soon as we strolled by Paul and I saw macarons the size of my palm, I knew we were in trouble. €25 later, I had ten macarons, one eclair, a blackberry cake/muffin, and a mini almond tart. Eff yes. The macarons rival Thomas Keller's Boulange beauties - the almond cookie is gently firm, quickly giving way to my greedy teeth - and the buttercream and/or ganache is rich, dense, and perfect. I only bought three for immediate consumption, which was really two more than someone w a normal appetite should eat in a single sitting, but probably four fewer than I could have polished off in the span of five minutes. If pastries aren't your thing, you fail - but...they also have excellent looking breads - there were a few adorbs French families loading up on loaves - and they also have sandwiches. Prices are super reasonable - baguette for €2.5, slices of cake for the same, and I think all pasties for under €5. I know that it's a chain - but really excellent macarons. If you're close to one, worth finding - though not if you're pressed for time - service was very "French".

The staff was very friendly, she spoke a little English, and the décor was contemporary. Lots of locals came to this place and even grandma's with their little dogs. The apple strudel" pastry was fresh, not overly sweet, and the dough flaked off nicely (like a croissant). The capucchino was excellent as well and not overpriced. The quiche was good, but the egg was too solidified in my opinion. It should have been a little runnier and there was nothing special to the ham they chose to use. I would definitely recommend this place. A hidden gem in my book.

I also order four very large and yummy eclairs. There was a line out the door but the very friendly staff got everyone through the line very quickly.
