This operation is really awful - My doctor's office faxed an order over to Beacon where the orders…read moreare supposed to go - I called a few days later and someone at the Beacon Central Line - where they receive all the PT fax orders - told me that the fax number I had given the doctor - the same number that the actual physical orthopedic office in Montgomery on Cornell Rd gave to me - was incorrect - that rep told me she had never heard of that number before and then gave me another number. So I had to contact my doctor office again and they faxed the order again - to both numbers just to be sure - a week later, Beacon central line told me again that they never received the orders, despite me having confirmations for the dates and times the orders were faxed. So here I am, the patient, playing the middle man between the Tri-Health Blue Ash Internal Medicine and Beacon Orthopedics just trying to get help for my back pain. Taking my business somewhere else. Beacon sucks.

I had radiation @ St Mary's Oncology Radiology with Dr Sharma for pain in my lower back & hip. I had no idea that the radiation was going to do so much damage to my hip! No one told me that at the end of my radiation txs I would need a hip replacement!! My hip was fine before the radiation! A few weeks later was when the pain really started & after 2-3 months it was unbearable!! Dr Gunzenhaeser - Orthopedic Surgeon told us that my hip was the worst hip he had ever seen & he didn't know I could walk with it! Two different times Christy helped by moving my surgery date & time forward, faxing my Physical Therapy orders & all of the other things that needed to be done quickly. Christy is very knowledgeable & she definitely goes above & beyond. If it wasn't for Christy's constant monitoring in my chart & checking in with me many times- my experience @ Beacon's wouldn't have been so smooth! The exercises that the therapists led me through Athletico made a huge difference for my hip and shoulder, which are both from prior injuries and both are arthritic. First met Kevin who took the time to explain my surgery and the healing process. Told me what I could expect and what I needed to do to recover. Very knowledgeable guy. Worked with him for several weeks. As the weeks went by I then worked with each staff member. They all kept me honest and 'corrected' me on proper form and movement as I got sloppy. As I started to feel better they encouraged me to do more reps. Before I knew it my PT time with them was complete. I really believe they shortened my rehab timetable. People just love him, and he has developed a wonderful staff to compliment him, who also now work for NovaCare.
