He advised me that he needed to install emergency disconnect which he didn't tell me and he wanted additional $400. He told me its the code requirement. I agreed. He replaced the electrical panel and installed the emergency disconnect. He gave the Certificate of Insurance for Mr. Ray Mechanical LLC. However, I found out the electric permit was issued to a different company. He work failed inspection because the emergency disconnect was not needed. He misunderstood the code. The town's inspector had to write down the code for him. Then, he had to add main breaker to the panel. I refused to pay the $400 which was for the unnecessary emergency disconnect. I had to spend two more half days to facilitate the revision of the panel work and coordinate town's re-inspection. Ramon, the owner of Mr. Ray Mechanical insists he has electrical license. He does not. Anyone wants to hire him to do electrical or any home improvement project should ask him to show his license.

We had a very disappointing experience with Eco Air…read more We originally hired Eco Air to repair our heating system. It took three separate service visits before they diagnosed the issue. During the first visit, they told us the main control board had water damage and needed to be replaced, so we paid for a new board. Looking back, I still question that diagnosis because the electrical connection should have been properly enclosed. Several months later, one of our air conditioning units stopped working. When we inspected the equipment, we discovered that Eco Air had left the electrical outlet boxes for both HVAC units uncovered after their previous service. The covers had never been screwed back on, leaving both electrical connections exposed to rain, snow, and the elements for approximately five months. One unit has already failed, and the second unit was left exposed in exactly the same way. We now have no confidence in its condition or how long it will continue to operate. When we contacted Eco Air, we expected them to investigate the issue and stand behind their work. Instead, they largely avoided responding to us. We repeatedly asked for updates and a plan to resolve the problem, but received little communication and no meaningful effort to take responsibility. Because Eco Air failed to address the issue, we ultimately had no choice but to hire another HVAC company to inspect and repair the system. It is extremely frustrating that a company hired to repair one HVAC system left both HVAC systems exposed to the elements through careless workmanship. Customers deserve accurate diagnoses, quality workmanship, prompt communication, and accountability. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Based on the quality of the work and the way this situation was handled, I cannot recommend Eco Air.
