Called for an estimate on a annual maintenance contract for my commercial building. Tech arrived and said he didn't need to see the roof top units. He would email me a review and contract in 2-3 days. That was 3 weeks ago. If your not going to follow thru, drop me an email and say so. I guess either they are not interested or incompetent? I usually don't write reviews and I certainly don't do it to intentionally hurt a business, however, with this horrible experience I felt compelled to leave one to let people know to be careful. Looking at other reviews just now I also noticed that their sales guy Paul who we had to deal with left a 5 star rating on Google a few hours ago. Further below I'm actually addressing Paul's sales pitch and the same words can be found in his review. Back in 2020 we noticed our heat pump consumed a lot of electricity. Prestige's sales guy Paul came to take a look. He explained he only works for Prestige to help them out and that they are highly ethical. When Prestige came in to replace the condenser they realized that the air handler did not fit through the door to the attic so they had to get the same unit that comes in two modules. Turns out that unit didn't fit either and they had to order another unit to make it work. Supposedly that unit was a more expensive and fancier one. They finished installing the unit, but no heat was coming out as "something funky was going on with the power". They left but sent in an electrician they work with who had to replace a breaker they fried - $180 we had to pay. The heat still didn't work, so they installed a different thermostat as the one they had put in before was only aligned with the original unit they wanted to install first. It took them 5h to replace the thermostat. The heat finally worked, so we let it run for the night. Next morning our meter showed we used ~100 kW (our average usage is 20 kW/day). Shadi explained to me that the heat strip starts kicking in at around 45 degrees (not what we were told). I told him in that case we want our money back and have him uninstall everything because we were misled which he was not willing to do. He said all that while explaining to me that he is not a businessman, but that customers have his highest priority. I explained to him how we were completely misled and his reply after everything that had happened was: "I can't stand heat pumps and recommend against installing them". How helpful it would have been to have anyone tell us that before. The heat strip kicked in again at 48 degree weather, electricity consumption was through the roof. It took them 2 weeks to get back to us because apparently the wrong replacement part was shipped. They were supposed to come on March 30th, but on the 29th they informed us they have to push it to April 7th because Shadi was dealing with a personal situation. Now I am not sure why none of his workers could have come regardless of Shadi's availability, but oh well 'customers always come first'. Prestige came by on April 7th, but no Shadi. His guy installed the 5kW heat strip. We should test it and if it still doesn't work someone from Trane will come by. We tested the unit during 45 degree weather the next day, it still consumed a lot of energy. After a lot of back and forth one of their technicians discovered a gas line in the attic which meant we could install a gas furnace. To Shadi's credit he installed the furnace without any additional cost. Since we were already in spring the installation was pushed to Sep. Fast forward 6 months, the furnace is installed and finally everything seemed to be working fine. I thanked Shadi for his efforts towards the end. However, after a while the unit would automatically shut off after running for a few hours. We called Prestige and their technician "identified" a faulty part. He replaced it assuring us that it would work now. It didn't. They had to come in on 2 more occasions to replace what they thought were faulty parts of a brand new unit until finally my patience ran thin requesting either a new unit since this one seemed to be not working or having them refund us. They explained to me that they would need to have Trane check it out first. They did and confirmed that the unit was not the issue. It was the ductwork which was not big enough to move the heat properly causing the unit to overheat and shut off. Of course before replacing the heat pump with a furnace no one ever thought of looking at the ductwork as well. So here we were again getting the best price possible from Shadi to have them do the ductwork. At that point we decided to have a different company do the ductwork. They finished the job last week and the unit is finally properly working. Every other email we have received from Prestige begins with the words "My sincerest apologies". We have never met Shadi in person. All in all after one full year this has cost us somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000. The original quote was for half of that. That same company that replaced the ductwork also called the work that was done by Prestige a "Mickey Mouse job". I hope this will help you in your decision who not to work with. read more

From the start of the process when Paul, the salesman who came to my home, to the follow-up calls with Fatima asking for more info about the quote, and the eventual installation of the new A/C system, Prestige has been very professional and honest about their pricing. In fact, of the three quotes I got, Prestige was significantly cheaper and included better equipment (e.g., Trane) and services (2 years of included annual checkups) than their competitors. I would also note that their competitors had 4+ star Yelp reviews too and I had used one of them in the past for prior A/C work so I am comparing Prestige to some good companies. Prestige Air came to my business. We needed a furnace that had died fixed. They gave me a quote and gave me the option to fix it or replace it. After discussion, it made more sense to replace it as the old one was 20+ years old. They were back the next day and got us back working by mid-day. I was very please with their professionalism, they showed up on time, and cleaned up after themselves. The price was fair, and I got a five year warranty on the work. From the moment I heard back from Prestige, I knew they were the company we were going to go with for our Air Conditioning project. When Shadi arrived at our home to go over the project, my husband said that he felt like he knew him for years. They will say things like they don't want to make a mistake. It's just an excuse so you won't be able to compare them with other companies. And, it's a method to get away with charging higher prices. This company will happily provide you with quotes on repairs so you know what you're getting. FAIR PRICES. Their prices are also reasonable. I actually called another company to replace a part on my mother's HVAC system. The quote was fairly high so I called Prestige. They were significantly cheaper. They miscalculated the heat load for a house we were going to buy and then defended their work saying it was perfect. Finally had time to write a review. This team is amazing. I had a heat/cooling system put in when our old one blew out back in January and Shadi came out to check on it almost immediately. I don't know much about these types of systems but Shadi was very good at explaining anything we didn't understand and gave me full confidence he was giving us a fair price. It was Billy and Lee who came to install and they are the nicest guys. Also knew what they were doing. Took them a couple of days and everything was installed and they got rid of the old system and cleaned up everything. They made sure they kept the floors cleaned too with floor protectors which is very much appreciated as I have two young kids that roll around on the floor. Compared to the two large companies who sent salesmen, Shadi, the owner, was more knowledable and direct. He took time to review the installation and explained the reasons for each step. I found Prestige Through Yelp. What luck for me! It was really difficult to find a contractor with actual AC units during covid time, 6/2021. Many other companies were not taking any new clients. Shadi, the owner, was reasonable and fast with a quote. The techs were excellent on the the install and cleanup - one day. A problem with my 220v line was fixed by an electrician , the very next day, Sat. at 8 am. Two hours after, their tech came by, to check all the vent temperatures, 55 degrees. Should you have any thoughts of hiring this company I suggest you read this posting. Shadi Alfauri, owner, quoted a 5 to 7 day turnaround of a conversion of circulating hot water baseboard heat to a dual system - hot air/ac. He cashed my check on July 25, 2018, and as of today December 7, 2018 he has not completed the job. He missed 3 scheduled/acknowledged appointments including one with the plumber and the final inspection with the town. Currently he still has to remove the disconnected boilers and baseboard units from the property, insulate the basement duct-work, and complete other various details. He continually makes promises with no follow through. His workers were anything but neat. They did not clean up and as a result damaged wood floors that were one year old. My central air stopped working on one of the hottest days this summer. I contacted 2 other companies, one never returned my call and the other called back two days later. Meanwhile, Prestige answered my call and scheduled an appointment within a few hours. They showed up when they said they would. I have an older system but instead of trying to sell me on a new system, the owner replaced the part within a matter of 15 minutes and had it running again. I was told in advance the service cost was $125 and this was the cost plus the parts - an extra $55. No hidden costs. They came and did exactly what they promised. I relied on Yelp to locate an honest HVAC company because I know there are many scam companies who would've come and looked at my older system and tried to sell me on a new unit.
