And for good reason, the person who took my order was friendly and they were able to come haul our crap the next day! Matt and Joe arrived very punctually and were very courteous about removing our big stuff plus a few things I added in at the last minute. I wanted to get rid of pieces of an old wooden fence and a bunch of random garden refuse. Unfortunately, I didn't think about scheduling someone to take it away until the day before the fence crew was to arrive. Despite my poor planning, they were able to fit me in as the last appointment of the day on the same day I called. I don't remember the name of the person who set up my appointment on the phone, but they were great at their job, as were Jose and Ron. In particular, Ron and Jose called to let me know when they were on their way, gave me a quote to make sure the price was okay before they started, were fast (30 minutes to clear out a full load of stuff) and courteous, and finally, came in a bit under what they estimated the final cost would be. I don't know how their prices compare to other junk removal companies, but they were easy to work with and I thought they were worth it. read more

We had a mixture of items to haul away: old doors, windows, light fixtures, as well as household items, Xmas decor, furniture, books, dvds, toys, even kids' sports equipment. The whole process was easy, I don't think it could have been any easier. Went online and picked a time, received an email confirming the window. On the day of, Julie called to let me know they were ahead of schedule and could come early. I was still cleaning things out and she said that wasn't a problem and they'd go to lunch and check in with me after they ate. After calling around to various donation centers that offered free pickup and being told that they would not pick up my large 60" round glass tabletop, I emailed Angel's Junk Removal. They were great! They got back to me within 10 minutes and after a couple back and forth emails to determine size and pickup location we set up an appointment for removal. They were prompt, courteous, and careful. I couldn't have been more pleased with their service! This was the second time I have used Angel's junk Removal. I would have called them first this time, but I was hoping to get a free pickup from a charity. Angel's service is the next best thing since they find places that will accept donations or recycle the items they collect. I like that they do what they can to keep items out of landfills and find places that can reuse them. Their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Angel's and will use them again. read more

Stood Up turns to Thumbs Up. This company was great. Things started off on the wrong foot but everyone at Angel's made up for it. I had originally scheduled an appointment on their website but due to an oversight and misunderstanding they never showed. I called and unfortunately wasn't able to reach anyone which caused me some stressful moments as I had a short time frame to clean out my place. I left a less than favorable Yelp review because of it. Soon after the posting, I received a call from John checking in because he was under the impression I had cancelled the appointment. I explained that I had not and spoke to no one until this call. He felt terrible and offered to come do the job the next morning. I asked if we could reschedule for 5pm on Tuesday (today), he agreed and said that we should expect a couple of his guys out between 5 and 6. Beyond the call from John, I received a call from Pat, who took the fault as he misread the schedule and who cancelled. He explained that there was a cancellation at a similar time but not the same day and he made the mistake. Today, Luis and Christian came out, were incredibly punctual, through and considerate of our place (big furniture and newly painted walls). Hey, mistakes happen. I appreciate that everyone at this company was incredibly nice and owned up to their error. I would highly recommend this company! read more

Wow, I can't say enough good about these guys. Because I'm pregnant and plagued by a weird hormonal symptom known as the "nesting instinct" we decided to do a minor house upgrade. In other words, every room was crammed with boxes of books and clothes, old furniture (some of it pretty heavy), kitchen stuff, and out and out garbage that needed to be picked up. Even our cats were getting stressed out by the chaos--and they normally /like/ cardboard boxes. A big part of a company making a mistake is how they fix it. I had an appointment for Sunday between 4 - 6 - they were a no show. VERY angry, I called at a few minutes after six - two rings and I got a person. He had no idea why my (confirmed) pickup hadn't happened - but you know what happened next? He offered to come by the next day (after hours), and do the pickup for free. They were in and out in five minutes - polite, fast, apologetic again. And you know what? Our townhouse is one of the more recently built ones that was apparently designed to never have furniture in them. The stairwell is incredibly tight, and getting it in the house six months ago was a huge hassle. When it came time to upgrade the couch, we decided we'd much rather pay for someone else to do it. Marco and Christian were able to come the very next day on a Sunday afternoon (on Easter no less) after we realized we couldn't get the couch out by ourselves. They were friendly and professional, and it was a huge sigh of relief when they managed to get it out of the house. (The couch put up a fight, but they prevailed.) The only signs of the couch disposal left were a few scuff marks on our wall that came off with a Magic Eraser no problem. Our backs and our sanity were saved, and it was the worth the money- for a heavy sleeper sofa, we still only paid the minimum. We'd definitely use this service again. I had an excellent experience working with Pat (coordinator) as well as Joe and Julie (the removal crew), and would highly recommend them. I know they'll be who I turn to in the future and who I'll point my friends to as well. I had a bunch of old college-era furniture I needed removed in order to make way for brand new stuff, and needed to coordinate that removal with my extremely bureaucratic condo Home Owners Association and the company delivering the new furniture. Both the HOA and the delivery company threw me some curve balls, and every time an issue came up I was able to chat with Pat quickly to figure out a solution. I think I ended up rescheduling my appointment with Angel's 3-4 times in the course of a week. Every time the process was fast (~10 minutes or less to get a response) and easy (they always had time slots open). Pat's flexibility made my life a whole lot easier! The removal crew showed up when they said they would, were courteous, and hauled my stuff out faster than I'd have thought possible. They ended up charging me about 2/3 the original quote, which was a nice surprise too! The only criticism I could make was that the removal crew forgot to call me to let me know they were on their way. I ended up calling Pat to see where they were and he let me know they were about to arrive. Considering how great the the rest of the experience was, I'm guessing this was just a one-off issue. read more

Terry and Jose came today to take away an old mattress and heavy solid wood trundle bed frame still in excellent condition, plus some area rugs, bedding, etc. That bed frame weighed a ton but they took it apart and got it to their truck in no time at all. They arrived early and worked extremely fast. They take what can be reused to donation sites like Goodwill and felt that bed frame would be acceptable. They were clear that a couple of the area rugs were not in shape to be donated. I appreciate the fact that with this company what can be reused will be. read more

I'm so impressed! I needed a bunch of things hauled away - two large televisions, broken printers, some huge curtain rods, and a pile of drywall. I didn't know where to begin finding a place to haul these things away, so did a google search. I skimmed over a few sites before checking out Angel's, and found theirs so easy to use. I appreciated that I could simply book online with them and choose my time slot, and on short notice. I liked very much all the info I needed was there on the website (did they take credit cards? Yes). So I could make my appointment and get my questions answered all in the middle of the night. On the day and time of my appointment, I got a call from Angel's saying the truck was on its way. And soon the truck pulled up. Collin and Matt got to work quickly. They were both really polite, friendly, fun to talk to and really smart. They were very professional but I also got the feeling they'd be great to hang out with too. They looked at all my stuff, were totally flexible that I threw in a few more things last minute (broken fluorescent bulbs and dead batteries and old house hold cleaning supplies). They quoted me a price based on how much room my stuff would take up in their truck and it seemed reasonable, so I agreed. They got to work immediately and had great attitudes while they worked. Collin noticed that my screen door didn't latch open, saw immediately it was because one of the pieces was on backwards, and said he could fix it. I was kind of stunned that he'd offered, and agreed. I started looking around for where my screwdriver was to give to them for when they were ready to fix the door latch while they continued loading stuff into their truck. Where was that darn screwdriver? And suddenly they said it was fixed! I didn't even see them do anything, but sure enough, they'd fixed it just like that. Wow. That's crazy fast. If I'd been drinking something I would most likely have done a spit take--it was that fast. I had no idea when I booked with them that I'd end up better off with not only a less junk filled house but a fixed door latch as well. I can't recommend Collin and Matt enough. I really appreciated that Angel's recycles as much of my stuff as possible, and am so pleased with my interaction with Collin and Matt. We based our selection of Angel's based on the reviews, but our experience was poor. The drivers arrived on time, but instead of coming with an empty truck as we were told, they came with a truck that was half full. It wasn't nearly enough space. I wasn't home, but my wife was. Of the items they could take, they took the lightest/least difficult to junk. My wife didn't feel comfortable telling them to take the items we wanted. Overall our experience was one of being bait and switched (1/2 truck vs. full truck), pressured (not getting to select the items to junk), and purposefully so (no follow-up from their scheduler to check up on the job). There are a lot of junk removal services and I would not work with Angel's again given our experience. read more

They arrived on time and called me asking where I was! I scrambled to the office as soon as I got their messages, but they had to wait for me for a while. They were gracious and professional as the finished the job. A wonderful experience! While not the cheapest junk removal service, Angels is as good as it gets. They arrived on time and after seeing how much junk we had, brought in to more people and another truck. Of course I have to pay for that. That's fine with me. They carefully moved the stuff we wanted to get rid of and efficiently loaded in their trucks. The workers are polite and intelligent. It was as close to effortless as any moving or disposal activity I've ever experienced. Best of all, after they removed the stuff, they donated usable items to one of the local charities. I am happy to see that people have had a good experience with Angel's. I on the other hand did not. We sold our home this past summer after my parents lived there for 48 years and there was A LOT of stuff to be removed. My neighbor recommended Angel's, so I went with them. I read on their website that they are environmentally friendly and that they recycle, donate, etc. so it does not end up in landfills. I called and talked to the owner and asked up front if he would be willing to do the job and accept payment when the house closed which was in 2 weeks, as I did not have the funds right then. He said yes. I asked him when he wanted to come see what the job entailed as I thought is was at least 5-6 trucks, and he said he did not need to and proceeded to schedule a time to pick up the junk. On the day they arrived, they had 2 trucks show up. I showed them the job which was a clean out of the basement. I had set aside an area that had things we were keeping and made sure all crew were aware. The head guy was irritated about the entire job and the size of it. He said there was too much leg work and asked if there was another way to get the stuff out - unfortunately there was not. They worked for about an hour and then the owner arrived - blocking my neighbors driveway and their car in. He went downstairs and looked around. Then he walked in the front door, without knocking or introducing himself, looked around and said "Does all this junk go too?" I told him no, only in the basement - except what I set aside. Then he spotted my dog - who just had surgery to have her eyes removed due to severe glaucoma- and asked what the hell happened to that dog? I explained to him. His reply was, "so what, you just decided to removed her eyes?" Once that was over, he let me know that he did not realize the job was so big and since he was not getting immediate payment he was only comfortable filling 4 trucks. I was totally fine & understood that and was appreciative of what he could do. I went down stairs to see how things were going and saw that they had also taken the boxes that were set aside that we were keeping - some with irreplaceable family heirlooms - and had plugged in a radio and had it blaring. I asked what happened to the boxes we set aside and the reply was that they were tossed with the rest of the junk. The head guy apologized, said that he told everyone not to touch that stuff and promptly turned the radio off. By then, the truck they were on had been taken away. A couple were apologetic, but the others said that's the way it goes on jobs like this, there's nothing we can do now. The comment that got to me the most was a laughing "oops, my bad". In hindsight, I should have brought the stuff I was saving upstairs, rather than set aside from the work area, to avoid that. I went upstairs to let my mother know what had happened and as I was going up I over heard a conversation where one asked if the upstairs smelled & looked as bad as the basement - which was a typical smell of an old unused basement - and the reply was "yes and they have that freak of a dog up there, too". Make the comments you want, you're entitled to your opinion, just make sure that the people you are insulting are not within hearing distance. I went outside to see how the crew was doing and was surprised to see one of the trucks back from unloading already. I mentioned that they sure got back quick! They replied that the dump wasn't busy and that it doesn't take long to back it up and dump it. I was surprised because they had books, furniture and other things that could be donated or re-used. I questioned them about that and they confirmed that it all went to the dump. No time to go through everything with a job like this. Had I known this - and their website not said differently - I definitely would not have gone with them. At the end, I was left with a mostly empty basement, a large pile of scrap metal in the back yard and the boxes from their lunch in my front yard. When it came time for payment - delayed by an additional week - it was difficult to reach them and they never sent me an invoice. I left no less than 2 messages and sent a few text messages before the owner called me back. He asked for my email address to send the invoice. It took about 2 weeks before I received it because he wrote the email down wrong. I was out of town at that point and sent him the check as soon as I returned. Sadly, due to the experience above, I cannot recommend them and they do not appear to be truthful in their environmentally friendly statements on the website.
