Once we walked up to the counter, though, hospitality left much to be desired. I do not like giving bad reviews, and I understand that running a business is tough, but this was an eyebrow-raising experience. We were left standing at the counter for several minutes unacknowledged, despite the fact that there were two people behind the counter. No one even said "we'll be right with you." Once the woman behind the counter finally was able to help us, her entire demeanor said we were inconveniencing her. We ordered the chicken pesto panini, a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, a blackberry lemonade refresher, and a turkey club. We did not receive a receipt and the girl walked away from the register before the transaction was even finished processing. We sat in the dining area and waited for twenty minutes. A member of our party went to politely check the status of our food since we had been waiting for some time for sandwiches. She was informed that the restaurant next door "got busy." Assumably they are sharing a kitchen? I'm not entirely sure what that meant. When we eventually received our order, the same girl who took our order brought our food. She brought out a box of napkins and silverware and threw them on the table. The food was nothing particularly special. The pesto chicken was so dry it was actually hard. The turkey club ended up just being a turkey sandwich with no bacon. The blackberry lemonade refresher tasted like sour mix. I was very disappointed in this place that I was hoping to really like. I will not go back and I will not recommend it to anyone. If a business would like to acquire patronage and keep people returning, the staff might want to treat customers like they actually want them there in the first place.

It's Perry's ice cream which I like very much. The people who suggested we stop here to get ice…read morecream and celebrate National Ice Cream Day implied it was Kish-a-wa's own ice cream. Perhaps I misunderstood and what they were talking about was the wall with the incredible number and variety of sundaes available. We shared a "small" bowl of mint ting-a-ling ice cream, not a sundae. When I ordered, I was asked "what size?". I asked what size servings the people at the corner table were eating. I was told "small". Even though I had been told the servings were very large, I was not prepared for the very large "small". It was clearly large enough to share, so ordered a small with two spoons. It was only $5.50! The attached photo was taken after we started eating our ice cream. We'd eaten about 1/3 of it.

Living out west we are always seeing froyo everywhere so i was excited to have my favorite soft serve and then Perry's ice cream. This place has it all. So many choices, it was a little overwhelming! I stuck to my twist with rainbow sprinkles. The sizes are big! A small was huge! But I guess it matched the prices. Everyone loved their ice cream choices, even the hubby who opted for a shake. Plenty of seating, mainly outdoors. I'll be back for sure next time we visit WNY!

So I was headed to Buffalo by car from NYC and while visiting a rest area I noticed this pink…read moredrink, it was strawberry milk. I was like that's kinda odd, strawberry and chocolate milk in a stand alone fridge? I ended up buying the strawberry milk and Holy Moses, this was the easily the best strawberry milk I ever had. I also noticed it was pretty expensive, it was a small container for around $4.50 but I bought it anyway and wow was it worth a buy. It was so good, it was so good it actually made me make my way to their actual farm and take god their milk was cheaper at the farm. I also asked since I noticed the employees were wearing very distinct clothing if they were Amish? The employee said it was similar but they were Mennonites. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=FJpVePPXalf0iGdM0UXSng The food: Strawberry Milk- This is a must get item. It was $5.75 for a half gallon. I loved the strawberry flavor of the milk and I love the creamy texture of the milk. Chocolate Milk- I think this was a great chocolate milk but not as distinctive as the strawberry milk. Strawberry Ice Cream- This very similar to the strawberry milk, but not as rich a creamy as the milk. I enjoyed this but the milk is my favorite item.

Unfortunately my visit wasn't as super as it has been in the past. My coffee cup's lid didn't fit, and my panini was soaked in whatever sauce they used so it was very soggy and messy. I don't think it deters me from visiting again, it was just a different experience this time.
