Exact same situation as last time. Our drinks came out fast, but food took forever. We waited 40 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 1 wrap. They weren't busy; there were two people who ordered drinks before us (and also got them pretty quickly) and another small group who came in while we were waiting for food and ordered drinks only, got them, and left. The food was good and the place is really cute, but it was really a pain to have to wait so long when we wanted to get back on the road. I want to be able to patronize the place, but we are not risking the wait again next time we make this road trip. Note on the drinks: My parents liked their chai and matcha lattes (I tried the chai and it was pretty good, did not try the matcha), and my mom and I both liked the bubble teas we got last time, but the hot green tea was just a Twinings tea bag. I saw what looked like different tea boxes on the wall, so maybe they have different options for other types of tea, but I would be inclined to recommend the tea lattes over the plain tea if all they've got is Twinings.

We determined that we could get breakfast sandwiches and if Little Mister ate one, then he could have a donut also, if he was still hungry. Really. What kid doesn't have room for a donut after a meal? So Hubs and Little Man ordered their bacon egg sandwiches on bagels and the employee bagging them seemed thoroughly happy about their sandwich and donut choices. When it was my turn to order, I asked about the veggie egg white thing. The employee sounded apologetic about it and said yea, they're just egg whites and veggies. Oh joy. I asked a follow-up question. Again, the employee seemed sad to inform me that there is no bread in this. Double joy. I'll take it. No donut for me, just 2 egg white veggie 'omelets' and a black coffee. Nearly just right for my almost carnivore diet thing. The employees did a nice job of packaging each donut separately and it was relatively quick even though it seemed busy. The veggie egg white omelets were tasty and I would definitely order these again from any DD. The coffee was smooth and exactly what I expect from DD. No issues at all with this DD at the time we were there which was a Sunday morning. I would have liked more egg options such as real scrambled eggs but the egg white omelets were completely satisfactory for a quick breakfast on the road. Incidentally, this DD is truly right off the expressway which makes it a quick pit stop and there is also fuel right next door.

Absolutely the worst fill-up of gasoline that I have had in 40 years of driving. I would not have…read moregotten gas at a 7-11, but I was swayed by the Mobil brand sign. I got 18 gallons of "Special Extra" mid-grade gas. Within one minute of driving away back on to the highway, the engine started knocking so badly (knocking never happened in 12 years of owning this car). Knocking persisted, and resulted in serious lack of engine power and mileage (efficiency) until I refilled again the following day, after burning more than 17 gallons. Much less severe knocking still persists, and I have added a water-remover to the gas tank. I am planning add a fuel system cleaner as well. Oh. how I hate this fill-up! Never again at a 7-11 ! (shady owners/workers have been known to sell poor quality contaminated fuel). I will think twice before getting Exxon/Mobil either. Just hoping that this was just a bad dream.
