Once the woman behind the counter finally was able to help us, her entire demeanor said we were inconveniencing her. We ordered the chicken pesto panini, a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, a blackberry lemonade refresher, and a turkey club. We did not receive a receipt and the girl walked away from the register before the transaction was even finished processing. We sat in the dining area and waited for twenty minutes. A member of our party went to politely check the status of our food since we had been waiting for some time for sandwiches. She was informed that the restaurant next door "got busy." Assumably they are sharing a kitchen? I'm not entirely sure what that meant. When we eventually received our order, the same girl who took our order brought our food. She brought out a box of napkins and silverware and threw them on the table. The food was nothing particularly special. The pesto chicken was so dry it was actually hard. The turkey club ended up just being a turkey sandwich with no bacon. The blackberry lemonade refresher tasted like sour mix. I was very disappointed in this place that I was hoping to really like. I will not go back and I will not recommend it to anyone. If a business would like to acquire patronage and keep people returning, the staff might want to treat customers like they actually want them there in the first place.

I called ahead to reserve a stuffed animal that was was specific to a Dino book we were giving as a gift. I ordered one on Amazon and it didn't come on time, so we made the drive West. The gentleman I spoke to gladly reserved the Dino in advance and was welcoming when we arrived. Would definitely return for a book, gift or drink!

The owner is very friendly and luckily has made it through the pandemic. This shop opened 3 years ago. I encourage everyone who comes through this town to support this small business. He makes the drinks and sandwiches himself....and does a great job! The store is spacious, clean and comfortable with an eclectic array of seating. There are new and used books. Clean bathroom. Well lit for reading. There's something for everyone including adults, young adults, and children. Comic book collectors should stop by as well!

They weren't busy; there were two people who ordered drinks before us (and also got them pretty quickly) and another small group who came in while we were waiting for food and ordered drinks only, got them, and left. The food was good and the place is really cute, but it was really a pain to have to wait so long when we wanted to get back on the road. I want to be able to patronize the place, but we are not risking the wait again next time we make this road trip. Note on the drinks: My parents liked their chai and matcha lattes (I tried the chai and it was pretty good, did not try the matcha), and my mom and I both liked the bubble teas we got last time, but the hot green tea was just a Twinings tea bag.
