This place is great for all your water supplies! They have a big selection of parts, hot tubs, Green egg grills, cleaning supplies and accessories as well. The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. Their prices are very reasonable including free water testing. We've been going here for years because we trust them completely! We purchased a brand new hot tub. It was installed 2.5 months ago. Currently, it is leaking for the SECOND time! To make matters worse, when we called Angie's Pool & Spa, they informed us that someone would be out NEXT WEEK. Today is Friday. We called at 12:30. The website says they're open until 6 pm, yet they had NO ONE who can service a brand new hot tub!!! The customer service is HORRIBLE!!! If you want to over pay and have horrible customer service, this is the company for you. If I could give a zero rating, I would. Scheduled 10 days out for a Friday (only after they mandated I leave my credit card on file for their $300+ minimum service call charge). Since no time frame was given for the appt, I waited patiently to receive a call at 1:35p stating I'd been bumped due to another job going longer than expected. No call the the following Monday. Upon my calling them, on Tuesday, I was informed they would not be servicing my spa due to reviewing pictures on Zillow - even though I'd given information AT THE TIME OF SCHEDULING on the location of my spa and how it needed to be accessed. Royal Spa got me in in 3 days and has thus far been a joy to work with. read more

I inherited Angie's in 2023 when I bought my house--and the pool that came with it. I've rarely had an interaction with them that didn't leave me irritated or feeling like I overpaid for very little in terms of service. Here are some examples: 1. No Value for Money: Pool opening and closing services provide too little value for the cost--$400 each. At my spring opening, they didn't even start the pump, cycle the pool, or clear out the antifreeze. They simply installed plugs, removed the gizmo, and wrote a $450 work order listing repairs they claimed were needed before they could cycle the pump. They still charged the full $400 opening fee. They insisted my electrical supply non-compliant and their techs were not allowed to touch it for safety reasons. This is ironic considering Angie's installed it 13 years ago when they built the pool!!! And Angie's has turned that pump on every Spring for 13 years with no safety concerns. What's different now? Angie's refused to discuss the issue when I called. Refused to revisit the question and refused to refund even part of the $400 opening fee. I ended up turning the pump on myself, and remarkably I survived!! Go figure. I made no repairs and the pool has operated perfectly all summer. 2. Poor Customer Service. I called on 10/15 to reschedule my closing. I understand they're busy and may have limited flexibility with dates, and I was happy to accommodate that. What was frustrating, however, was the attitude of the attendant (we'll call her Wilma to protect the guilty). She was barely above outright rude and made no effort to be accommodating, behaved as if I was inconveniencing her and made no effort to find a reasonable solution. Unable to resolve, I said I'd call back when I understood my schedule better. Next day Angie's charges my credit card the full $400!!! Naturally we called to chat about that, at which point the reduced the charge to a $25 cancellation fee. 3). Just Annoying: Angie's insists that customers complete a PDF questionnaire before they will open or close a pool. The questions are innocuous--nothing that couldn't be asked and answered over the phone when scheduling, or at the time of service. Yet Angie's refuses to confirm an appointment until that PDF is downloaded, filled out, signed, scanned, and emailed back. (For added "convenience," they offer that you can drive to the store to complete it in person.) After considerable argument, I believe they have finally converted to a digital form. To conclude- there to too many other good quality and reputable pool service companies in Greenwood to have to put up with Angie's. read more

My dad offered to pay to have my above-ground pool closed for the season, and he mistakenly chose to have Angie's Pools do the job. I have closed, opened and maintained my pool for over 9 years based on the manufacturer and installation recommendation, so when I say services understood to be performed were not done satisfactorily- I know what I'm talking about. When questing the agreement the person (Ally, Alley, Alli, Ali- whatever) that finalized the billing had the audacity to say to me something to the effect of, if you know how to do it, why didn't you do it yourself.. like really!?! You're questioning why we sought your companies services?!? I had nothing but good faith the job would be done, that an amicable solution could be reached when they weren't done as expected, then chastised as to why we were paying for your services?? When the no refund, no return policy on the receipt is longer than anything else on the paper, beware. Customer service - no. Young female workers does not equal customer service Honesty and integrity - none Example A: When asked about pricing of liquid chlorine was told that their product is better than others. No, it is all 12.5% hypochlorite. Example B: Then was told, "but other places sell it all year around and it degrades." They sell it all year around. Example C: A third employee says, "It only has a 30-day shelf life." I then tell her that I am a chemical engineer and it has a shelf life longer than 30 days. I've Never dealt with a pool company so money hungry. Over charged multiple times for services that weren't completed and very rude employees. I highly suggest you look to another company. Overpriced, over charged and extremely rude employees. I wouldn't recommend them to open or service my bathtub let alone the $100, 000 pool we put in. read more

Not sure what their issues are other than it seems like they tried to scam a woman. They closed thepool pool last year then said there were issues with the pump housing being cracked. Then the circuit was having problems and needed a switch. I went out and the drain plug to the pump was gone. Put one in from the new pump I bought, filled with water and surprise it all works fine. They charged $340 to take a pool cover off and refused to return the overcharge. Never again will they be back. read more

When you pay a company $900, to fix a hot tub for $60 worth of parts, and it still LEAKS!!! Call and complain, "sorry your 30 day warranty is up", which I was never told of a 30 day warranty! Left my hot tub open and all panels off for a month! Used a local small business because I like to help the small businesses! Never again! Angie's pool and spa will never be used again....beware! Hence draining and fixing myself! Please be aware this company DOES NOT carry parts! They order then charge an additional service call of $125 to come back out! As of right now my review will stay with 1 star. We hired them to come out for a simple cleaning for today. I had stated to the lady my boyfriend and I both work and would leave the fence unlocked. I never heard from anyone so I called to confirm did they even show up? Was work done? Were there any problems? Nothing. The lady said that at that time the crew had not been back yet for her to confirm anything with me and would call me tomorrow. I was perplexed that we couldn't get any communication to the crew... they don't have cell phones?... but I said okay and would wait for said phone call. Well I just got home and let me just say what an absolutely mess they left. Mud everywhere. All around my pool, I know it wasn't clean as the pool is filthy. There's mud on my fence. Now since I wasn't here I have no idea what happened but I would think any reputable company would either A. Clean up their mess before they leave. You don't leave a customers house this way when we are PAYING for a service. Or B. You call the homeowner to let them know. I immediately called the company to find out what happened and of course the appropriate party isn't in to answer my questions. We are first time home buyers, just recently moved in and just trying to get our pool cleaned. I am disappointed and very upset. Absolutely worst experience with any company EVER!!! Over six months waiting for simple diving board installation constant excuses on why they can't get to the work. Waited five months for a lining to be replaced and and they damaged the lining during installation. No one has been back to repair and it has been another month. Extremely disappointed in the quality compared to the price. Especially given this is a seasonal servic I would never recommend anyone to have to deal with this company. They opened our pool May 1st and from then on we've had nothing but trouble. The equipment wasn't working right...thankfully with the help of YouTube we were able to correct those issues. Bi weekly water samples diagnosed by their computer and tests revealed we needed just about every chemical they sold. After purchasing $450 of chemicals by the middle of May and being told every three days we needed more, more MORE... we decided to see what some other pool companies advise might be. We took identical water sample to two other local companies as well as Angie's and discovered two were in agreement and Angie's was not. Imagine our surprise when the other two companies told us we needed to drain 14 inches of water and add fresh water to break the ammonia lock on our pool. They wouldn't even sell us anything until we did that. "No amount of chemicals will fix your pool" I believe were the exact words. So while Angie's customer service is wonderful, their goal is to sell product. I definitely would recommend my NEW pool company who in less than 2 weeks had my pool looking clear without breaking my wallet!! read more

The service with Angies has totally gone down hill over the last two years. They don't care about customer or doing a good job. They only want your money. The opening crew was very sloppy and did a very poor job this year. Cover and bags were put away wet. They would have molded if I had not caught it. Did not tell us when they opened it we had a heater issue. Had to schedule another service call for that. Determined we need new heater. After paying for heater then told us it wasn't available and wanted to substitute a different heater. First telling us it would be same price as our original quotes then increasing the pricing. I found 3 other companies selling the new heater for $300-$500 less than Angies. I believe they were going to substitute a cheaper heater and pocket the difference. We canceled all of our business with them and will be moving on. I'd advise finding a different pool company. You will likely be cheated here! read more

Frequent and Loyal customer for several years as was my father. Today was the last time for me. Each year when I shop there they always ask for my name, which is understandable. However my fathers name is still in their system, and I have asked them several times to remove it. My father passed away almost 9 years ago, painful memory every time they mention his name. It doesn't take much to clean up a database contains records yet they refuse to do it. Plenty of other pool places to shop so my business goes elsewhere now. Take water in weekly to be tested. I have a pool & spa. My pool has never been clearer. Zero issues this year. Spa good too, but it is much easier than a pool. They have never tried to push chemicals on me. After water analysis, they just ask if I need anything. In fact, phosphate level was very slightly high & they suggested I not treat it, it should be fine. Had minor issue after opening spa & they gave me 2 options, one which did not involve chemicals (partially drain). I give them a double thumbs up. read more
