Big mistake. First, the woman (Andrea) sprayed my hair with water, resulting in it dripping all down my face, my ears, and my back. Then, she was painfully slow with her buzzer, and I questioned (aloud) how long she has worked there for (2 years), and I questioned (in my head) whether she had ever given a buzz cut before. The front of my haircut (a 3 on sides and back, blended to a 5 up top, using scissors to shorten the front) was unevenly cut on the left and right side of my face. When I questioned this, she said it's my uneven hairline. Um, no, it's your bad technique. Finally, her clippers kept nicking my neck, resulting in a burning sensation. She kept using them, even though I told her they burned. I now have red marks on the back of my neck (adding a photo so you can see). Then, I was charged at a discount. I appreciate the gesture, but this should have been free. I want my money back. I was also given a customer loyalty card. Did she really think I was coming back after this experience?? Don't go here. There are too many options in the area.

I made an appointment earlier this week for Saturday at 12pm with Bridget, who in past reviews seems like a genius with hair. I strolled in around 11:55am to find no one in the salon. I probably waited another 5 to 10 min until Bridget rolled in. She kept grumbling as to why "the other girl" didn't show up to do my hair. I was a bit confused, because I thought my appointment was her to begin with? But she was happy to do my hair anyways and immediately offered me coffee and cookies :) She recommend that I add in some low lights for $20 extra so the repeated highlights wouldn't make my hair too light and unnatural-looking. I took her up on her recommendation and WOW what a difference! It made the highlights blend in much better with my natural coloring. She also paid attention to not take off length, but rather shape up my layers as I requested. She was also willing to work around small requests such as extra trimming around my bangs without a problem. I asked if she offered a lock in price because the big disappointment with groupon sometimes is that you get a great job done, but the businesses then request that you pay full price next time which I can't do on a student budget :( we bonded so well during my appointment with her, ahe she was more than happy to offer me a locked in rate for future appointments! I will DEFINITELY be back. The only reason I take a star off is due to past reviews detailing horror stories with scheduling, and she was a tiny bit late for my appointment in combination with the confusion between who was going to do my hair. A tip is to make an appointment on a day where you have loads of time to kill in the case that a scheduling mishap does happen. Otherwise, you will leave with amazing hair :)

I asked her multiple questions via phone which she politely answered. I was fortunate to book an appointment that day! When I arrived the front desk greeted me. I walked into a serene environment with stone floors and plenty of plants! I felt like I was in a courtyard in Italy;), very calming! I connected with Maddie right away. She made good conversation and gave me some Netflix recommendations to watch! I was a bit quiet and reserved because a Hairdresser is like a therapist, you are skeptical to find the right one. Vince starts to trim my hair with scissors so I thought it would be fine... I was so wrong. He starts jabbing my head with scissors as he clearly has no experience cutting hair. It was all uneven and awful. I must add as this atrocity was unfolding big Vince starting to get personal. He saw my gold cross and asked if I was religious. I said yes thinking he was weird. He then asks if I'm Italian to which I said yes. He went on a tear talking about how he thinks God is fake and that the Bible is fake. He told me to believe in science. Big Vince only got crazier. He told me he hated Trump, Capitalism, and that did not believe in college education. All of a sudden he told me his brother passed from cancer a few years back. He told me he "liked black women" even though he was a racist or something of the sort. He also creepily mentioned his ejac****** habits and started to talk about sex a lot... at this point I was scared for my life. He tried to call me a guido and began to talk about guns. He banged me in back of my head 3 times very hard as he told me some crazy stories about how he liked filmmaking. I was going to fight him and tell him to not hit me, but I was so shocked at his behavior I remained still. This porkchop is a danger to society and he needs help. This big Vince character needs to get therapy. So after 2 hours of him forcing me to sit in the chair I had enough. He completely ruined my hair. He took off all my hair and messed up my side burns and my entire look. After all his sick stories about himself I had to make a run for it. I managed to stand up and tell him I have to go. He was very CREEPY. I was so upset with my hair I couldn't even believe the crazy sick shit he was telling me. He charged me nearly $50 bucks for the worst haircut ever. He is one sick man. I said by, 4 or 5 times before I was able to escape him. It was so bad I had to go to another nearby barber to just get a fade. THIS GUY IS A PYSCHO.

They don't have the higher end stuff like Keratase or Bumble Bumble, but they carry Biolage (which is what I use for shampoo and conditioner), other Matrix brands like Sleek.Look and Amplify, Paul Mitchell, Sebastian, etc. For the large bottle of Biolage shampoo, it costs between $18-$22 at other places like Cost Cutters, but it only costs $10.95. I think CVS sells the Sleek.Look styling creme for $15 and it's $7.95 at Lord's & Lady's. Updated on October 30, 2006: I went back to get some shampoo and conditioner and the prices have doubled! I can't afford $22 for a bottle of shampoo, so I will have to settle for Pantene these days. :)
