Tried Angus Grill and Cantina for the first time last night and was blown away! The servers were super friendly and had great recommendations. I had the Camarones Zarandeados and omg, still drooling thinking about them. They somehow managed to taste like lobster, could be Argentinian shrimp maybe? But the chips and salsa were super flavorful. We sat on the patio and it was a little chilly with the wind but the fire strip they have out there provided just enough warmth to tolerate the breeze. NWA friends, do NOT eat at Angus grill & cantina in Rogers. Long wait, poor service, RAW CHICKEN, weird napkins, and NO APOLOGY. My coworkers and I (about 25 of us total) went to Angus Grill and Cantina yesterday afternoon for happy hour. BTW, they don't actually have a happy hour yet. They told us "they're working on it." It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and my order was incorrect. Then came the food. We ordered several appetizers. The boneless wings, fries, onion rings, and pork rinds. The wings came to our table bone-in. When we reiterated that we'd asked for boneless, they took them away (no apology) and went to go get us boneless. The other apps had no sauces, garnishes or anything with them and were just thrown onto plates. We asked several times for plates and silverware. We finally got small plates but still no silverware. We were starving so started grabbing the boneless wings with our hands to eat them and after several of us ate at least one, we all found ourselves commenting on how weird/chewy the texture of the chicken was. We finally gave up and grabbed silverware ourselves from the front desk. Upon opening our silverware, we found that we all had hand-written notes from the hostess. Will attach the images. One of the napkins said "What's your favorite kind of disabled person?" Another said "I'm watching." Another said "Don't look behind you", etc. WEIRD. I found the manager and asked if he could explain what was going on and he was unapologetic (he didn't even look surprised?) and he told me he'd look at the cameras. Now that we had silverware, we cut open one of the boneless wings and IT WAS COMPLETELY RAW. We had all just eaten raw chicken. I then found the manager again, brought the chicken to him, and he took it away from me. Never apologized or anything. Never offered to comp our meal, NOTHING. Oh, wait, they brought us free cold cheese dip and guacamole. As if we needed anything else to throw up after the salmonella kicks in. I've never left a restaurant review or dealt with anything like this but we are all in shock. It's definitely been the talk of the office all day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. It's not just a very poor experience, it's a health risk. (BTW, another woman who left a review on their Facebook page said that her waitress asked HOW SHE WANTED HER CHICKEN COOKED. A random menu assortment, but didn't seem to specialize in anything. They have burgers and steaks and some Mexican food. I ordered chicken fajitas. There were 8 other people in the restaurant when we ordered, but it still took thirty minutes to get our food. My condiments and sides came out five minutes before the chicken. The rice was cold and bland. My party also had two that ordered burgers. One was fine, the other was cooked well done, rather than medium, as ordered. It's a real Mexican restaurant. The name threw me off. Fish city was busy we decided to just eat here. We loved it! Chips and salsa were delicious. Salsa was not spicy - which for the kiddo is great. Clearly I wanted fish and didn't know what to expect. Mexican mojarro deep fried fish - this was amazing! A lot of bones so not for anyone that minds bones. My 4 yo daughter loves it - I picked it clean and gave her the meat. My husband got the Agua Chile - like a shrimp cheviche - seriously this was insanely good. It's cooked in lemon so if you don't like sushi type shrimp - don't order it. If you do - this is amazing and full of flavor. The carne asada taco plate was a hit too! If you want authentic Mexican and not that Tex-mex thing or burger place. Service was attentive - we came at 530pm. About COVID precautions - the servers didn't wear a mask. This is a huge let down as it makes you question other precautions. However, the place was spaced out well and they made sure to seat us far from other tables as possible - you are not packed like sardines. There's also a band - I have no idea what days they play. It's was Thursday at 6pm. This wasn't our daughters favorite part. It was extremely loud and somewhat annoying when they were tuning up. We were screaming over the band to converse. But if you are there to drink and like that ambiance then that might be okay for you. Families with smaller kids - I would recommend to AVOID if the band is there at that time. Given this place plenty of chances and if it wasn't for karaoke and me supporting a friends business we'd never come here again. First experience: Came for drinks. Waitress walked by table several times after I said I was just there for drinks. Finally took my order thirty minutes in and said "are you just getting drinks or what's the deal?". Second experience: Party of eight. Waitress took some of our orders. About twenty to thirty minutes went by and no food. When we said we'd like to order for the rest of the table the waitress said ok and walked away. Never came back. About thirty minutes later no one had come so we gave up on ordering food. Had to flag the bartender down to get us a pitcher of water and that was the last we had any type of service. My original rating/review was 5 stars and raving.... from what I understand we are now 2 owners later and it's not so good. We arrived and sat at a busy bar (the place was doing well and pretty full). When we sat down the previous patron's dirty dishes were still sitting there and NEVER got cleaned up. We ordered the house margarita (which was a great price and tasted great) and the dip trio... which we only ever got our salsa NOT the other 2. I also attempted to use my 20%off YELP coupon that wasn't reflected on the final ticket and we were charged for the trio of dips that we didn't get. With all of that said I first am not going to blame this poor bartender. She was in the weeds making drinks for the entire place alone and unfortunately the people sitting at bar suffered. I also learned she had never worked behind the bar before and was likely "filling in" for another. Unfortunately we witnessed what we assume to be the owner or perhaps manager (guy in collared shirt) watching everything at the end of the bar. NOT helping. He could have helped her, he could have cleared tables/bar, hell I bet he could have ran food such as our other 2 dips! That was the worst part. Mexican dishes but also burgers and steaks and variety of appetizers. The drink menu looked good and they have a great looking happy hour 2-6 with half price apps and drink discounts. My friend and I ordered the triple dip (cheese dip, salsa and guacamole). It wasn't bad but it was very very bland. I kind of expect a little spice and heat when I'm eating these type dips and there just wasn't any. I feel like they forgot the jalapeños! We each ordered fajitas. One chicken and one steak so we could share. I enjoyed having the colorful peppers-red, green, yellow but no onion? Weird. The meat was fine but again, very very bland. There was no seasoning. The quality of the food was fine but I was very disappointed in the taste. One word: bland. I'm reluctant to go back for apps or burger so I may wait out other menu reviews. I've been here a handful of times now and I keep hoping for a better experience. I really want to like it, but it's the same thing every. single. time. You get seated and the host says your server will be right with you. The place wasn't very busy at all. 5 minutes later after walking by she finally comes over. Got our drink order of 1 beer and a Diet Coke. It took 18 min to get one beer. The table to our right was there before us and he got his beer after we did and he was not happy. Food showed up in a decent amount of time. Fajitas were good. Salsa was good, but the chips were stale. To our left a family of three sat down waited between 5-10 minutes then got up and left because no one would wait on them. I completely understand if the place was short staffed, but it isn't. There's just no sense of urgency with anyone in this place. The owner/management really need to address otherwise people are going to stop give it chances. read more

Appetizer order was shrimp poppers with fajitas and queso burrito for my sig other as mains. About 45 minutes later (estimate because I didn't really time them) the meals came. Asked about the appetizer and she said it just came up and was delivered. It would have probably been hot if it was served before the meal. Had it been served ontime and hot, it would have ranked 2nd right behind the salsa. Sad to report that both the fajitas and burrito were very bland. By this time I'd had plenty of beer, the lights dimmed the karaoke started and the volume increased above my comfort zone. Overall the place was clean but service was below expectations and food was less than average. We used to frequent this restaurant 2-3 times a month, because we liked their food. The last couple of times, the service was slow, but it always because of "new staff". We decided to go again tonight, for a celebration dinner. My husband and I always split meals, and we ordered the prime rib. Our son ordered the Promenade Strip. They brought out 2 Promenade strip dinners. When we told the waitress, we were informed that they were out of the prime rib, but that they would "make it right". With this being said, we thought that they would comp the meal, as any good restaurant would. We cut the steak in half, and I had started eating the veggie side, when we were informed that we would still be charged half price for the meal. We told them then, that we would not eat it, and would take our business else where. At this point a young rude man, came up stating that he was the owner. He told us, that he would still charge us half price, even if we didn't eat it, because we had "touched" the meal. When we refused, he threatened to call the police on us. My husband told him to go ahead, which he didn't. Instead, he called his parents. My husband paid for our son's meal, and was told by the kid, that "it wasn't worth the $20". Well, their food isn't worth being treated this way either. The parents need to teach their son, good customer service, and respect if they want to keep their restaurant and customers. read more

First and last time in. Thought I'd branch out and try a different restaurant but it was a disappointment. Our server appeared new but did an okay job. We came in for happy hour, advertised as 1/2 price appetizers (in writing on their menu) and drink specials. We'll, Red flag #1 - we were told only 2 of the 11 appetizers on the menu were happy hour pricing. (angus nachos and anguspenos) Red flag #2 - only 2 drinks on the happy hour drink specials. So I ordered a michalada off the menu advertised at $6.99. Red flag #3 the happy hour nachos had more gristle than meat. Red flag #4 nachos are served without salsa, had to pay $3.99 for an order of salsa to go with the nachos. Red flag #5 and the deal breaker - I was charged $9.99 for the michalada and when I mentioned it to my waitress, she returned saying her manager said it was the NEW price. At that time, I told her we would not be returning to this establishment, then she returned once again and said the general manager overroad the charge and gave me the advertised price of $6.99. The server apologize and said they are under NEW MANAGEMENT. I guess this gives them the right to NOT honor what is in writing on their menu. The DJ would turn down the excessively loud sound system for half a song after being told directly from various patrons to turn it down.
