I have reviewed here before - a few times - but I couldn't help it to review again. The amount of food that we purchased and received was a mountain that more than fed (leftovers even) a family of 4! Their meal deals like we got tonight are not to be missed and these entries and sides are fantastic ! Krunchy Shrimp with Raspberry sauce and Ribs that melt in your mouth and fall of the bone. Excellent food - really some of the best and especially for the money! Don't miss a visit here if you're in the area! We have been eating here for 30 years and NEVER had a bad meal. This restaurant was conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel. It is large, so plenty of room for a group. We were seated promptly with no wait when we went on a Monday night. Our waitress was great. Reviews recommended the skillet queso, but I didn't care for it. But that's ok because it was part of a 3 course meal for two, and the other two courses were great. My chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes were spot on. We ended the meal with the strawberry stack which was the perfect ending to our meal. read more

Such a busy and loud location. A lot of people came by. We had reservation and I would suggest to have one as volume of people is large. Food was pretty good. I ordered bbq chicken pizza and requested extra crispy crust . My request was granted and I received pizza just the way I like it, thin and crispy. I enjoyed it. I found it a bit odd to use cheddar cheese but luckily it was fine. My daughter ordered a wrap and waffle fries. She enjoyed her meal too. Portions were huge. Our waitress was super nice . Update (2025): I continue to be amazed at the excellent service and food quality I get at Marketplace. It's not the most amazing food. And sometimes they do get it wrong. BUT, it is a solid eating location. Comfy seats. Friendly service. Great selection. Tasty. I still love the jambalaya pasta (sub with bowtie pasta!). Fav! It is a great place for family and visiting guests. I wish I could eat here more often (budget!). But, I always recommend it. Still 5-stars after living and dining at MP for 11+ years. read more

We just got off the plane from Phoenix to explore the great state of Arkansas and came across what we can say was 100 percent southern hospitality. Our server Anna was spectacular. She surprised us with a meal that brought all the southern comfort to the table. We had ribs and chicken, mac & cheese, and an amazing flaming queso. She recommended topping it off with the mini chocolate mess, which took awhile to get all the gooey chocolate off the sides of the dish. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable and I still can't say enough about the staff. We had several of the servers stop by our table and give us their advice on what we needed to see while we were visiting. Defiantly a place we would visit again. We went because it was across the street from our hotel. The steaks said market price so we ask our waiter the price , he said $24.99 so my husband ordered it. He ordered medium and it was literally raw , our waiter even said "that is mooing" it was tough and lots of gristle too. The manager brought the recooked steak out and her only comments were she didn't understand how it wasn't cooked right. No offer of apology. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken and it was just okay. I didn't care for the BBQ sauce so that's possibly just personal preference. When the bill came we were charged $29.99 for the steak. Yes we should have said something but we were just ready to go . Just disappointed in the food especially since it's so close to our hotel and we were hoping for a close place to have dinner while in town. It was packed when we left with people waiting which makes me think it's a good place to eat but after our first experience it unfortunately will be our last. Second visit, we were here last year 2024, this visit not nearly as good. I ordered chicken tenders with broccoli. The broccoli came out cold, not warm COLD with Parmesan cheese on top. Kitchen made it right by heating it up. Batter on the chicken tenders had zero seasoning, very plain and it did not stay on the chicken. One bite and it all came sliding off. Big Disappointment! My sister had the Grilled chicken salad with their homemade herb dressing which she seemed to enjoy. It had one slice of cucumber, 2 grape tomatoes and was drenched in the dressing (I would suggest order it on the side). Bread on the table excellent. Server was efficient, friendly and had great knowledge of all the menu options. We arrived just before the dinner rush so it was nice and quiet with plenty of booths to choose from. A great spot to grab takeout while staying at the Home2 Suites across the street. I ordered ahead online and it was done earlier than expected. The last time my wife and I dined at the MarketPlace Grill was in January of 2019. We left disappointed with the food. Unusual. Then Covid hit. We have not been back since 2019. Pryor to the big pandemic my wife and I tried to make to the MarketPlace Grill at least a couple of times a year. Our server today was Tyler. Nice guy, great attentive service. My wife had the Lite Walnut Salad I had the Cajun Burger. We were not too excited about either meal. They were good, but just average. I can't say that about the Jalapeno Cheese Fritters. Those things are crazy good. Cheezy gooey crispy spicey amazing, rich and heavy. I had two and tapped out. Oh man, they were good. A must try appetizer. The MarketPlace Grill is a big restaurant. I'm not sure about now, but they used to be wildly popular and always a wait for a table during peak hours. Clean restaurant with great service. Will not be coming back here, which is really sad because the food was amazing but the service was honestly awful. Micheal was deeply disrespectful. He made comments about what a member of our party ordered saying things like "that's double carbs," or "you're getting a dessert so keep that in mind." He was rude and disrespectful in almost every step of the ordering process, proceeding to make fun of one of our party members accents and snapping in rude tones. The very first thing he said was "how many of y'all are there?" because he wanted the gratuity for our large party. He kept making us feel like we were attacking him any time we asked for something simple as a side of ranch. It's a standard quick service sit down well not exactly. First my Baja tacos were spot on and the grilled veggies amazing. My friend had the spinach pizza well cooked and boxed to go because she couldn't eat it all. The food always excellent. The burr here is it was a ten minute wait on a Monday the restaurant about 1/3 full for the tables. The waiter was over worked with the tables he had (yes short staffed not the waiter's fault but it is management's) The decaf coffee made fresh was another 15 minutes after the meal. Where one of the lucky ones who got displaced during our vacation because of the northwest Arkansas tornadoes Sunday night. We had to move from our original location to Springdale. I'm familiar with the area, we happen to find this restaurant across the street from our hotel. It was kind of wonky With the hostess area, but it all worked out. Everybody was nice and friendly and our waitress was top-notch! She kept me with plenty of tea and for lunch I ate a salad, which was delicious. Plenty of gorgeous greens, delicious chicken and wonderful strawberries.I had the mini chocolate chunk cake for dessert and it was just OK. Overall, it would be a place. It's a step up from Chili's. It's 100% a family restaurant. Big and busy as can be. Food is decent and prices are fair. There's no alcohol or TV's. So it's Chili's minus the bar I guess. I really don't get all the hyped reviews, but I'm starting to feel like this is what I should come to expect from Arkansas. It's just not a serious foodie state.
