I believe I was in contact with KIM who honestly made me feel like I was just chatting with a friend! She was so approachable, understanding, and really went into the details of what option would best support my tiny fur children. Fast forward 3 months and we just wrapped up our in-home training package with Maureen! I cannot stress how amazing the entire experience was. Maureen has truly changed our lives for the better. Where we started to where we are now is night and day better, especially for my more aggressive dog Luna! We went from no one being able to enter our apartment with the dogs out to now the dogs just hanging out when people are here! Maureen is patient with pets AND people. She is always positive and really explains the WHY of the behaviors and outcomes. She's always on time, super professional, and gave us practical tools that actually work to truly set our dogs up for success but also US up for success as "parents" Honestly, I am a little sad Maureen is so great at her job because we will miss her coming over! If you want a trainer who knows her stuff and makes the whole process feel doable, Maureen is your person!

I mention dachshund because they are notoriously stubborn and can be very difficult to train. From the first day, all my dogs were magically somehow clued in and listening to John. He truly has an other worldly connection with dogs. I couldn't get my dog to do anything and John had them able to do "sit", "Stay", "come" and "heel" on the first day. He then taught me how to handle my dog and get them to pay attention. The best part is the dogs are so much happier. It's as if they feel someone is communicating with them, and they are not alone. It's incredible to watch and my dogs remembered everything they learned their whole lives. John is the nicest person. He deeply loves and respects dogs and has made his life in the service of training them. It's a worthwhile investment. I actually tried a less expensive option as I am retired now but it was nothing like "Good Dog" and my dog was fearful and cowering. I immediately realized that I was so lucky to know this team and how worthy the investment in my dog is.

Additionally, the ease of life that's been provided to us is invaluable, both from a convenience standpoint with pick up and drop off given our schedules, and most importantly, knowing our dog is well taken care of and having fun. Thank you to Cynthia & the entire Zen Dogs team - you really are the best!

After about 9 months of being with Zen dogs, I think it's about time that I share the love. This…read moredaycare is the best best thing I could've asked for for my 1.5 year old dog Enoki! I can tell through her expressions in all of the photos shared by the Zen Dogs team and her reactions when I drop her off every day (I go 5 days/week) that she adores being there. She comes home super tuckered out and has developed fantastic social skills with all dogs large and small. I also greatly appreciate how much all of the staff truly care and love all of the dogs. Around when I first got Eno, she suffered from a pelvic fracture and I informed the daycare staff of this injury when we first joined. During one of my earlier training sessions with her and a staff member 1:1, I found out that he had been giving her some PT stretches and massages throughout the day whenever she approaches him. He demonstrated them to me so that I could also perform them at home to improve her mobility and she seemed completely unfazed! Along with this, I was able to walk through their rest area and see for myself the kinds of kennels the dogs stay in during their naps. I prefer the concept of rotations of play and rest so that the dogs don't get overwhelmed (this was one of my reasons for choosing Zen), but, as an owner, thinking of your dog in confinement can come with some nerves. All my worries vanished when I saw the kennels: they were spacious, cushioned and I even found out that they will give dogs antlers or toys to keep themselves occupied during down time depending on what they prefer. These are the kinds of things that I feel other daycares would advertise and charge extra for; but, at Zen, they treat the dogs well because they care as much as we do. Love love love this place! I never want to move for as long as she lives just because I can't bear the idea of moving her out of this daycare hahaha. Thank you all so much from me and Eno!

When it comes to your dog, if you're like me, you only want a place that's going to love them and…read moretreat them with the amount of care and respect you give them. So, why choose Tony and his crew when looking for a dog trainer? Because not only does he have years of experience working with many dogs, hundreds of hours of leaning and training with leading professionals within the obedience field, but most importantly he LOVES what he does. I'm in my last year of college so dog training is a luxury for people like me, who only have a college budget to begin with. However, it is something that I knew I needed to do for my dog without question. I live in the city but I work at a stable with horses, so not only did I need the basics taught to my dog but the commands needed to be solid and reliable off leash as well. Those commands are what keeps my dog safe when I am in the saddle or working at the stables during the summer. I called so many trainers, well over 50, and the reason I chose Tony (and will only ever choose him to ever work for my dog) is because he goes above and beyond for every single animal in his care. I cannot tell you how long he stayed on the phone during my initial informational call, noting every single concern I had. Tony actually LISTENED about who my dog was, who I was, and my hopes and dreams with my new pup. He not only understood my worries but laid out a thought out game plan that could work with my budget, and time I was asking for a lot: a trainer who could have a price range that I could actually work with, actually give me a well-trained dog and someone who would love my dog while under their care. Tony has stepped up to the plate in every single one of those aspects. During Hammer's (my dog) board and train, I would constantly be sent pictures and videos of Hammer, which was great to see especially since I missed him so much while he was away. Tony always gave me weekly calls to update me on Hammer's progress and to answer any questions or concerns I had at the time. He worked so hard to find a training method that actually worked on my pup. When my dog wasn't feeling well or was feeling stressed out Tony resorted taking my dog to HIS home in order to make him more comfortable and to be able to keep a better eye on him. He gave the best quality care and went above and beyond our expectations, and the dog he returned to me blew me away. He's so well trained that when I do take him to work, he even heels next to me as I'm ON my horse. I always get complimented on Hammer's behavior, temperament, and training which all comes as a result of all the hours and hard work that were put into him. Hammer still has a long way to go with his training and is now going to his second board and train with Tony in a couple of weeks. The reason why you should choose Tony to train, board or even walk your dog lies within my own personal story and experiences with him. He makes having a well-trained dog possible for anyone and works with the puppy parents as much as he works on the dog. He's not in this business to take peoples money, if he sees your dog need additional time after the agreed set training time he will put in the additional training time towards the dog with no additional fees. Trainers as dedicated and passionate as the one found within Fido's Gotta Go are rare, so take the opportunity and give your dog the best Chicago has to offer.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Anthony and his dog walking service. I am so…read moregrateful to him and to Yelp for bringing such a kind, competent, and responsible dog walker into our lives! My Rudy is a handful and Daisy is very ill, so I needed someone who knew AND loved dogs, and the very SECOND Anthony walked into my home for our first "meet and greet," I knew he was perfect (he got down on the ground with my dogs to make them feel less threatened). My Rudy in particular does not like men and he sidled right up to Anthony and they were fast friends. After seeing all those horrific YouTube videos about what dog walkers can do to your dogs when you're not home, I was extremely worried about trusting my dogs to a stranger, but I work long hours and I wanted to introduce someone into their lives we call could trust. Anthony sends me texts with photos after EVERY walk, checks their water, and makes sure the dogs are happy and healthy after each visit. In sum, Anthony and his company are a Godsend. Of all my reviews on Yelp, this is one of my best. I would give them 10 stars if I could. If you need a dog walker, seriously, search no further.

I unsuccessfully searched all over the city for competitive daycare that wouldn't break the bank. VIP is by unequivocally the most affordable and accommodating. I LOVE how easy it is to communicate with them via text instead of missing another email or voicemail throughout the workday. Golden doodles are known for their separation anxiety, but you know they're in good hands when your dog is excited to go! Winston waits at the door for day care pick up and excitedly sprints when we drop him off overnight. * DAYCARE - They pick up our dog and drop him off even when we're not home. They also pick up other dogs in our apartment complex so if we have a last minute change of plans it's no problem for them to scoop up our little Winnie. Throughout the day they'll send you videos of your dog playing. * TRAINING - Matt made us feel reassured during our consultation and reiterates that they don't accept clients who are not committed to maintaining training. We opted for the board and train, but they offer classes as well. * BOARDING - it's a huge facility, so we never have issues with drop in boarding. The only thing that is a little tricky to get used to is the drop off and pick up windows - there's only 3 a day, but if you're close enough they're flexible.

I was over 6 months pregnant at the time I begged to take them in (for 8 days), and days later, I realized the Samoyed and Corgi were a lot more work than I thought manageable. If I were on a Zoom meeting, the pair would have me cut it short. If I stepped out to grab groceries for dinner, they'd scratch my doors and cry for the entirety of my absence (according to my neighbor down the hall). Worst of all, the Samoyed sheds... A LOT. I like an ultra tidy home. A few days in, I called my friend (dog owner) to let her know they were much more than I was willing to deal with. She understood, and informed me her dogs get dropped off at VIP's Pet Hotels on a monthly basis when she's tending to her economic research. She was ready to pick them up and drop them off at this hotel. Instead, I called the hotel, and got a hold of Danielle who was so gracious to wait for my arrival that same evening for a drop-off. I was easily able to drive them over, drop them off, and have them well taken care of for a few more days. Due to COVID: They request that you do NOT bring soft toys from home, dog beds/blankets, or dog bowls; instead, simply pack the dogs' food and treats and they'll be ready to tend to the dogs upon arrival. Timo and Paul were so excited to see Danielle. THANK YOU VIP's Pet Hotel!
