My Rudy is a handful and Daisy is very ill, so I needed someone who knew AND loved dogs, and the very SECOND Anthony walked into my home for our first "meet and greet," I knew he was perfect (he got down on the ground with my dogs to make them feel less threatened). My Rudy in particular does not like men and he sidled right up to Anthony and they were fast friends. I can't say enough about how much we love Tony. He is the absolute best. Our pup, Jelly, is a rescue, and when we tried to take her to doggy daycare, she didn't do well, because she played too rough with the other dogs. I read yelp reviews for Tony that said he did well with other "aggressive" rescues, so we thought we would give him a try. Not only is Jelly obsessed with him, but he has been so comforting to us, reassuring us that no, she's not aggressive or mean or anything, she just never learned how to follow social cues from other dogs because she grew up in a shelter. He gave the best quality care and went above and beyond our expectations, and the dog he returned to me blew me away.He's so well trained that when I do take him to work, he even heels next to me as I'm ON my horse. I always get complimented on Hammer's behavior, temperament, and training which all comes as a result of all the hours and hard work that were put into him. Hammer still has a long way to go with his training and is now going to his second board and train with Tony in a couple of weeks. My dog Leila had developed some aggression issues when meeting and socializing with new dogs. Day-care was no longer working for her,though she never fought there, she mostly just walked or sat around all day and almost never played. The people there insisted that, at two years, Leila had "aged-out" of playing with other dogs, but I knew better. Thought I'd do Fido's a favor by giving them great review but after revisiting their Yelp site for the first time since we hired them, it looks like they don't need any more good reviews. Regardless, they're an awesome group. When we started up, the owner, Tony, met with my fiance and I to initially meet us and our new puppy and to set expectation and to arrange for all the walks. The rest of the review is slightly stalkerish but awesome for anyone considering them! Since we have a Nestcam/Dropcam, we would consistently get updates every time they came and once in a blue moon would check their interactions with the animals. First, walks were ALWAYS the duration as promised and 99% of the time within the 1-hour window we requested they come in. Trusting that your dog walker will do this every time is tough and they never disappointed. Secondly, they were always super nice to our dog and even greeted our cat going in and out of the apartment. Third, trusting a stranger to come into your house everyday is tough... coming home everyday, you wouldn't have guessed they were there. If we had any, we'd leave gold on the coffee table and trust it'd be there when we got home from work. They also texted hilarious updates on their daily adventures with the dog along with a couple pictures. Tony is truly a pet owner/lover's dream. I owned, adored, and spoiled two cats (Shadow and Savannah) for over 15 years. A couple months ago, I had to put Shadow down. Needless to say, that rattled my world and Savannah and I are still adjusting. In addition to that stressor, Savannah was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroid and she has to take medication in the morning and in the evening. I used to leave my cats alone while on vaca because they had each other and grazed on food and water. After 15 years, that was no longer an option. We used Tony over the 2014 Holiday to watch our two cats. The simplest way to put it is that he was absolutely wonderful. After a brief meet and greet, I could tell he was going to get along with both kitties and he didn't treat them with the sort of reverent fear I've seen other sitters use when you're there to view it. He was perfectly comfortable picking them up (they like being held and I'd said as much) and petting them. We got adorable pictures everyday we were out of town and easy constant communication. He even had a festive surprise photoshoot on Christmas for us that made being away from the cats far more tolerable. His rates are also so extremely affordable, I was shocked because most cat sitters are $5 more and don't guarantee a consistent time to come by or how much time they'll be able to spend with your cats. Anthony really is as good as it gets when it comes to caring for dogs. He just returned our Boston Terrier after she stayed with him for 5 days. While we were gone, he walked her numerous times a day, took her to dog parks and, most importantly, interacted with her and the other dogs to ensure they all had fun being dogs while acting appropriately (my dog has a tendency to dominate other dogs but under Anthony's supervision, she was able to have successful experiences with many other kinds of dogs in various environments). There aren't enough words of praise I can give Tony. He is absolutely fantastic with my dog, Bear and it is just very clear that he has a just as much love as Bear does for him. Firstly, Tony is incredibly flexible. Being a new teacher that works pretty far from home, I have a crazy work schedule. We used Fido's Gotta Go for 2 years with our dog Windsor. We were referred to Tony and his crew by someone at puppy play time as we were trying to find a daycare/dog walker that did not require Windsor to be neutered (at that time, he was only about 4 months old) as I was returning to walk. Tony has a great attitude about dogs and understands that every dog is different and not every dog needs to be fixed. We had daily walks from Fido's for Windsor and approved for him to take group walks, so he would get daily interaction with other dogs and occasionally had the opportunity to run around places off leash. The highlight of my day while at work was receiving the pictures of Windsor. What was an added benefit was the ability to text Tony at a moment's notice to be able to get a walk added for a certain day, particularly on weekends if all of a sudden we were going to be out that day much longer than anticipated. We also boarded Windsor with Tony once, which was great because they already knew Windsor and were happy to have him. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this crew on how it's run, the cost, and the people themselves. The only reason we stopped, is because we moved out of state. He's gone above and beyond for us on many occasions, and he's given me some really great tips for my pitbull mix, who is a bit picky about her friends. We have been having our dog walked by Tony since we got our dog almost a year ago. He has a lot of knowledge when it comes to understanding what a dog needs. When we signed up he was already starting to teach us things about our dog that we didn't know. Our dog is very active, so the fact that Tony would take him to the dog park was a win win for us during the day. We get several pictures back each day showing us how much fun our dog is having while we are sitting in an office at work! It is nice knowing that our dog is getting a good amount of exercise while we work all day. We recently adopted a new puppy when we moved to Logan Square! Her name is Daphne and we wanted to make sure she was well taken care of while we were at work. We also wanted to make sure she was properly socialized with other dogs to ensure us training her would be a success!! Fidos gotta go was the first review that popped up and we are so happy we called! Daphne loves her trips to the dog park with Tony and gets along great with other dogs. Tony texts us everyday after her walks with pictures and updates! He even got her a stocking for Christmas. Tony is a life saver all week, even for my last minute walk requests!
