This was an absolutely horrible experience. I would give this entire process 0 stars if I could. I ordered this the weekend before Memorial Day bc 1) my husband LOVES anime and 2) guaranteed delivery before Father's Day. I placed the order ($100+!) and did a few rounds of revisions before approving the artwork. After approving the artwork, nothing. So I assumed it was in print. I didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks so I reached out inquire about the status. That's when I found out that my order was only for the digital copy (mind you it was $100+) and they didn't even email me the digital copy of the photo until I inquired! I asked about getting the canvas (and required to pay ANOTHER $65) and was promised that it was going to be expedited only to email them now (over a month after the original order) to learn that the canvas was "lost in transit." I asked for basic edits and they never sent them. I ultimately asked for a refund for the art and the framed canvas and they refused. I fought back about the framed canvas since they did not ever send it. They agreed but never sent me the refund. After about 4 months I received the edited art but it was still terrible. This company is pure trash. I commissioned a picture in the beginning of December, they claim to have a 2 week turn around. When I finally got my picture after over 2 weeks, it was not at all what I asked for. They just took a picture of the male from their site that was already drawn and slightly altered it, for the female - all they did was remove bangs from the existing character and called it a day. That's not at all personalized. When I complained, they said they'd fix it to look like the people from my picture. They changed the guy to look almost right, but the facial expression is not what I asked for. The female though, is absolutely disgusting, they didn't even bother to draw her correctly. She looks NOTHING LIKE HER PICTURE. If they can't draw females properly, they should say so. I also asked for a battle look, torn clothes, blood, energy around them and they ONLY DID IT FOR THE MALE. I have no idea why they have issues with females. They seem to think that they're side characters to only support the male, but I paid for both people to be on display, not just the man. This has been on going for a month and I still don't have a personalized picture, it's well past Christmas, so that's bullshit considering this was a Christmas present. Straight Trash. Art was terrible. Literally a copy and paste of whatever art you are giving, erasing some lines, put some different eyes on the character and done. Even the effects on the character were horrfiying. Looked like blue nike signs pasted on top of the character. Animefy reached out via email about end product to see if there were any changes needed. Yes there was, I sent back that I wouldn't even be able to tell who that character was supposed to be if I didnt buy it. It was Muichiro from Demon Slayer (bought for nephew). Detailed changes, asked if background could be changed (extra charge decided not to) then they just ghosted for the past 2 weeks. Unprofessional. DO NOT RECCOMMEND! Don't order the book!!! They don't no have anything set in motion on production. It sad they offered something without having a way to accommodate set in motion. I ordered back in November when it was first offered and was told this week that they're refunding my money because they can't accommodate getting it made. The digital artwork I did receive to make up for them not being able to accommodate was nice. The canvas printed option was pricey. The final artwork was great as most reviews on their site attest. The one star is only for the business dealings. I sent photos of my family, and my photo clearly showed me as an African American person with medium brown skin. The mock they sent showed me as a person with white skin. This was not an easy mistake to make. Even though this was clearly their mistake, thei claimed it was a revision (i.e. the revision was needed on my end) and thus would take longer (i.e. an extra 3-5 days) to receive. The artist should have done this correctly the first time as anyone with eyes could see the difference in the photos. I was disappointed that they made this clear mistake, and that the item did not arrive for Father's day in time, but was about 5 days late. read more

The phone number does not allow you to talk to anyone. They say on the website that a response would be given within 24 hours and nothing! It has been over a month. They failed At their shipping promise as well. I was patient but this is just ridiculous. I just want my money back but how am I even supposed to do that when they are silent!? I wish I could give zero stars. Every negative review you read is 100% correct. The company is suppressing negative reviews, so, buyer beware and DO NOT trust the reviews on any social media or the company's website! They do not do a hand drawn image like they say. It is a copy and paste digital print from a template. For this reason, they do not personalize your pose like the examples on their website show. Those images that actually look good are either a photo shopped lie, or the company quit producing quality, in order to be able to scam and rip off their customers. Also, they tell you that you can have up to two revisions for free and they will wait 48 hours for your reply before they ship out your canvas. That is also a lie. They ignore requests for revisions. They ignore ALL phone calls and emails. And worse yet, even though I replied that I do not approve and that the final "art" is not even close to what I asked for, an hour and a half after sending me my digital copy, they sent me a text saying my canvas is on it's way!! The reason for my 1 star review is their customer service. I have sent 2 messages about them charging me for an extra canvas. No one has responded, nor have I received my $55 back. I am not happy. I tried calling and received a message that they were not taking phone calls so they could focus on emails. At this point, I had already emailed them several times but attempted to email again and never received a response. They have my $55 and I have no art. This is apparently a fraudulent business scamming people with no intention of delivering on the product they are selling. I have received several emails from them asking to see the artwork they never delivered and coupons they are begging people to use on their site. The bull**** began when I paid for the Attack on Titan theme only to be emailed and told that I needed to pay even more money to have a character from Attack on Titan even on the poster. So I was very irritated as I had already spent almost $90 on a drawing. Second issue was that they repeatedly, and I mean REPEATEDLY sent me an image to review which I REPEATEDLY revised each time. All I asked for was that the skin and hair be drawn darker. That's it. After 5 times of revising and requesting darker hair and skin, they finally sent me a good revision, which I approved. Guess what? They mailed me the WRONG poster anyway. They mailed me a photo that I REPEATEDLY requested to be revised. The character doesn't even look like the person I purchased this poster for. Third issue; I paid extra money for a digital copy of the image. WAS NEVER SENT THE DIGITAL COPY. And lastly, It has been 2 MONTHS. TWO MONTHS... That I initially placed my order, and every week I email them requesting the correct image be mailed to me. They respond telling me they will send me the correct one, but never do. This was my first time purchasing from animefy me ans it was a really disappointing experience. Not only dis they initially get the hairstyle completely wrong but i recieved my canvas 3 weeks late. When i placed my order they guaranteed they I would receive it before Christmas.. the quality is terrible the image they produced was very basic and nothing like what they advertise. Their customer service is none existent. Their only method of communication is via email and seems automated. We were willing to wait a little longer for the canvas as long as we could at least show him what was coming. We have nothing. It is the day after Father's Day, they still haven't returned my email from last Wednesday (it is now Monday) and their phone lines are inactive stating they are so overloaded with calls that they only correspond through email. The automated email response says to allow up to 72 hours for a response, but we have far surpassed that window. SO DISAPPOINTED and still no gift for my husband after waiting all day yesterday... ******BUYERS BEWARE****** I wish I had received this company's reviews sooner. I am basically echoing what everyone else has been saying. I received the digital art on 12/22 for me to approve it for printing and shipping, but I was not satisfied with the way one of the people was designed, and requested a minor revision of facial hair and face structure to remedy this, as is allowed per the business policy if submitted within 48 hours. I responded to the email with the digital art about my revisions on the same day. The website also states revisions could result in an additional turn around time of 5-7 days, which I was fine with. Artwork times take. As of writing this, it is the end of 1/3. What I am not fine with is the fact that I never received any confirmation that my revisions were received and being worked on, nor have any of my multiple emails I've sent since then been responded to, despite the fact that the website states customers will received a response within 24 hours and that customer service is their number one priority. Additionally, the number the website leaves for you to contact during business hours does not even allow you to talk to a human being, instead giving a recorded voice message saying they are unable to take calls at this time. Even when taking the holidays and their potential observances into account, and the additional turnaround time the artists need, the animefy team has had more than adequate time to work on my revisions, or at the VERY LEAST, respond to my concerns via email letting me know my requests have been heard. As each day passes and as each day results in continued radio silence, I am becoming increasingly concerned I have been scammed out of $140 and out of a great Christmas present for my husband. I have attempted to contact animefy one more time, but I am leaving this review here and where ever else I can to warn others that they have the potential to go through the same experience I currently am, should they decide to purchase from this company. Purchase with caution, or at least don't attempt to express any dissatisfaction with your art or respectfully make minor revision requests, as your art may be forever in "processing" limbo with no responses from the animefy team. read more
