I had been looking forward to attending this class for over a year and chose to celebrate my birthday here with friends and family. We were all very excited, which made the experience even more disappointing. The class started an hour later than scheduled, despite the website stating that participants cannot join if they are more than five minutes late. There was little to no explanation for the delay. Once the class began, it felt rushed, likely due to the late start. When I asked for help, staff often stepped in and fixed things themselves rather than showing me how to do it, which defeated the purpose of creating my own pottery. I also asked questions about air bubbles in the clay and the firing process but was not acknowledged. This was especially concerning, as I later discovered that my bowl cracked during firing--something I was specifically worried about. Additionally, the glazing and firing processes were not explained at all. When we moved on to painting, we were left to figure things out on our own without guidance. The class is advertised as making a bowl, but the final product was much closer to a small trinket dish, which was another letdown. On top of everything else, they lost my pottery when I called to check up on it and it had to be found. Given that we spent several hundred dollars, I expected a much higher level of instruction, organization, and communication. The overall experience, combined with the complete lack of response to my attempts to address these concerns, has left me deeply disappointed and regretful that I chose this studio.

They have tons of great door buster sales and frequently send coupons. Therefore, do yourself a favor and always come in with a coupon to save yourself a couple of bucks. You can easily find yourself spending heaps of money here. The downsides: Access to this Michael's can get a bit tricky and annoying when there is a lot of traffic on Turkey Lake Road. Whenever I've been in the store looking for something in particular that I can't get to through the virtual store map on the app, I find it hard to get help from the associates. Otherwise, they are super friendly when you do find them.

I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out. The beautiful murals that cover the outside walls echo the beauty and fun you will find inside the store. Since they are popular the parking lot can get pretty full.

They had a nice selection of gifts, cards, and party supplies here. Cards are about in the ~$6 range, which compared to some of the cheesy cards you can get at target for the same price isn't too bad. Most of the selection is catered towards gifts, cards, and party supplies but they do have some stationary stuff too. Not sure I'd drive out of my way to come here again, but if I find myself in the Lake Baldwin area I'd definitely swing by to see what's new! This small shop has such a fun variety of toys, games, arts & craft items, and a neat selection of unique gift items. Reminded my of a Learning Express store, so we are happy to have something similar back in the area. The associates greeted us upon entering, and were are friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and they were readily available to explain and demonstrate products. We were able to find a game that we couldn't find anywhere else locally, so that was a win. Their prices are comparable to high, however with their fun selection of products that you won't find everywhere, it's worth the specialty store prices. We didn't have too much time to shop around, but I definitely plan to make a trip back soon for more fun finds!

They have regular vinyl sales and that really helps out with keeping my crafting costs down. I try to get standard colors when they are on sale so I have stock. They get really good low prices on seasonal / holiday items right before the holiday happens and just after it ends. Get some storage and same 'em for the next year! This after they charged my credit card IMMEDIATELY for the purchase. And, they will only give me a store credit for cancelling my order (if they can't ship orders, what's the point of a store credit??!?) when they clearly have not started my order.
