Despite not being registered anymore, I waltzed in (not literally, I was really sick), and saw Dr Last within five minutes, without even making an appointment. Ten minutes and a truckload of tablets later, "death fever" was confirmed, and I was well on the road to recovery. We even got to chat about my fantastic work on NPfIT back in the day. Tip top!

The new building however is huge and now boasts so many more different services to the community. Inside there is the main recpetion where you check into appointments, and a huge waiting area. They is rooms for doctors nurses, triage nurses, childrens rooms where they do injections and a big play area for children. There is a specific desk for prescriptions to. Upstairs is for the dentist, and midwife/health visitors. The whole place is really clean and spacious, and there is so much more room to cater for draytons ever growing population, right outside is a chemist which makes it easier for people to collect prescriptions as soon as they have been to the doctors. The service is always friendly and the staff do there best to help you.

He is ideal for patients who are nervous or anxious. It is never true to say that going to the dentist is pain free, but he makes sure you knwo when something bad is going to happen, so you can prepare yourself. He is very gentle with the injections (I have had dentists who leave you sore for a week afterwards) and he is very professional and explains all your options. Although they only accept kids as NHS patients, they have a scheme where you can pay monthly or you can be a private patient for quite reasonable fees.

I was a bit nervous about it as I'd never been for counselling before and thought it was for other people but gave her a call and she really put me at ease. I booked a session and then a few more and got to say even i've noticed the difference and feel so much calmer, clearer mind and just more positive about life in general. I'd recommend counselling to anyone especially for anger issues like I had.
