This review would be zero stars if it would let me and is being cross-posted in the hopes that the hospital will do something about this continued issue. The north campus service area 1 registration/lab is poorly ran with rude employees who are condescending, judgmental, and unprofessional. They berate you for asking questions and lash out at you when you expect them to actually do their job and treat you like a person who is there needing medical care. The girls who work in the cubicles spend all of their time on their phones and gabbing to each other and intentionally don't press their so-called "button" to prompt the front desk to send them patients because they are too busy instead wasting company time and being paid to gossip and talk bad about patients in ear shot of them. When you bring this issue to the attention of management, nothing is done. I made a call about this continued rudeness issue three weeks ago with a poor excuse given to me of "it takes time for disciplinary action." The good employees are the ones being fired while the rude employees are allowed to continue their employment and be hateful to patients. After dealing with yet another rude employee today while checking in for a test where I was yelled at and berated for asking a simple question about if the women in the cubicles were taking patients today because I saw one of them staring blankly into the waiting room blowing giant bubbles with bubble gum and heard the other laughing loudly with her colleagues, rather than calling up or checking in patients for labs (which is a constant issue and daily occurrence in this department), I didn't even receive a return call from management after notifying them of my experience, even though they were aware of the issue. Patient advocacy is not any better as a department and the hospital is more worried about saving face than dealing with or handling the constant complaints about their staff from me and others. Even the lab techs say they continually receive complaints about the registration staff, yet still nothing is done. The hospital instead makes you feel like the threat and the problem and just continues to employ people who have no business working in healthcare. The employees in service area 1 lack compassion, kindness, and grace. AnMed cares only about money and not their patients. A simple question should not lead to an altercation and an employee should never raise their voice at a patient or interrupt them while they are checking in for their test like what happened to me while I attempted to check in for lab work. I attempted to remain calm while being berated and told the employee, Kristen, she was being rude and unprofessional and I would be yet again reaching out to her manager (all while she is yelling at me to go ahead and call them and that she'd call them for me because she knew they would do nothing). I finally told her to quit speaking to me and then security was called on me, when I was the one being abused verbally by the staff. AnMed, please look into the constant rudeness and unprofessionalism that is happening with the service area 1 staff. Patients are expected to treat employees with kindness, but the patients are not given the same respect and are instead being mistreated daily. Your slogan is "Better Care Starts Here" and this is far from the truth. Do better. read more

On January 27, 2025, around 3:25 PM, I visited Anmed North Campus ( 2000 E. Greenville St in Anderson, SC) for lab work. Upon entering, I noticed that there was no one at the reception desk where patients sign in. Following protocol, I filled out the sign-in slip and waited. After 5 to 7 minutes, I looked around and still did not see any staff available at the front. Eventually, I noticed an older black woman wearing a green long-sleeved shirt behind the glass cubicles in the intake area that's behind the reception desk. She appeared aware that 2 to 3 people were waiting but continued walking back and forth instead of addressing us. After a few more minutes, she abruptly yelled from across the room in a rude tone, instructing us to "just put the slip down and sit down". When I asked for clarification on where to place the slip, she dismissively responded, "Just anywhere," and told us to sit down again, sounding frustrated as if we were inconveniencing her. About 10 minutes later, she came out and was equally rude to other patients arriving for services. Her attitude and lack of professionalism made the experience very unpleasant. She appeared to be in her mid-to-late 50s, had curly hair, glasses, a piercing above her lip, and nails with heart designs. It is incredibly disappointing to visit a healthcare facility and be met with such unprofessionalism. When seeking medical services, patients should be treated with courtesy and respect, not made to feel like a burden. I hope this feedback helps improve the patient experience at Anmed North Campus on 2000 E. Greenville St in Anderson. read more

This is the absolute best hospital I've ever been to!!! I spent almost a month there and the nurses are top notch!!! Of course the food leaves something to be desired but what hospital has good food?? I will not go anywhere else for my care!!! Definitely 5 stars!! read more

I had to go a couple times because I had a severe headache for a month which I had never been experienced before. I had the headache but felt fine other than that. The first time I went I was sent to the quarantined room because of my headache. The way I was treated made me feel bad. I couldn't imagine those who actually have covid going in. After I went to the back after a few hours the woman made me feel like a user. She said it was as headache and she couldn't give me narcotics. But I didn't want a pain reliever I just wanted to know why I felt like that because I never delayed my normal activities over a headache. She gave me a steroid shot and sent me home. I came back 2 weeks later and talked with a man this time. The wait wasn't as bad because I checked in online prior. The doctor listened to me. He gave me more steroids and then some reliever. He said it sounded like chronic migraines. I took the steroids and the reliever and it made me feel so weird. So I ended up calling and they told me to discontinue and then they ended up referring me to a neurologist. Overall it was okay. It could be better but it is a "emergency walk in clinic " so you get what you get. read more

My son was sent from urgent care to the ER because of possibility of needing a Epi Pen for an allergic reaction to a bug bite he got while helping his grandfather with a fallen tree. His throat was swelling and a ton of blister rashes within and hour of being bit. They put a IV tube in him and made him sit in the waiting room 3 hours!! This is not an emergency room! He had no insurance so they just milk out every dollar and treat him as not important! He went to have the IV tube out and all of a sudden they had a room ready for him!?!?!? They took his blood before putting the IV in and he had not eaten. Started talking irrational and acting strange. Nurse took too long to get out there and check on him. Asking if he could be given a lollipop.. told they don't give anything until the doctor sees him as if he is getting surgery for an allergic reaction?!?!? PLEASE Never has this place treated anyone as priority in my family no matter how much pain or the circumstances. Unless dying... do not give this place one bit of your trust! To say the least the only two times I personally have been there for myself.. one was a massive UTI going to my kidneys and they stated I was constipated. The following visit I was sent by my doctor in concern for a cyst on my spine! They did bloodwork and a brain scan and didn't even listen to my full reason for being there! That was a 12 hour timeframe and when I was in the they shut the door. Multiple people at the desk gossiping and laughing! If there was a severity of more important patients... why is this going on??? They pumped my IV of some cocktail of medicine that sent me into a in and out panic attack that ended in me begging to leave! Another 2hours past and then when getting my paperwork they left me to stay another 30 minutes! My husband went to ask what was going on.. and they stated they were sorry because someone ghosted on them! Came in 2 minutes later to sign me out! No wonder that patient ghosted yall! You do not care about anything but the fun and laughter you have on your shift and holding us in there by putting a IV in our arm in the second waiting room!!! A way of holding us there to suck every $1000 extra you can to give you a paycheck you don't deserve!! SHUT THIS ER DOWN!!! THEY ARE NOT EVEN IN COMPARISON TO THE REST OF ANMED! Anmed are not honest with patients with billing. Most every patient has Xrays of some sort. When you sign up with you information you receive not information to who will be billing you. I had three Xrays. Was billed for the Xray, then Diagnostic of Anderson you never see to read the Xray and then the Doctor. You are charged three times for a Xray and was never told until you are sticker shocked with the bills. This is why they don't tell you. It's scamming patients and insurance. I will never use Anmed Hospital System Anderson sc again. They are crooks. read more

Brace yourself for billing problems galore. One year out and the bill just got submitted to BCBS after I received a dunning letter in the mail. Billing said they had not been paid and the dunning letter showed a credit balance. "It's the computer" is a nonsensical answer for all the billing problems. Tried to pay my bill in full today and was refused! Billing office didn't want my payment! What is wrong with these people.? Lots of finger pointing with no resolutions and not much truth being told. I was brought in to in med health care on April 27 via ambulance. I was not doing very well and had been unconscious. The next two weeks have been a roller coaster ride of my healthcare. I was diagnosed with a severe acid reflux. So much so that I could not swallow. There are many other extenuating health circumstances that I have had to deal with, but that seems to be the most primary. I am 69 years old and I have, unfortunately spent many nights in hospitals over several areas. I will tell you that the best hospital I have ever been in is Memphis Baptist East. This hospital is known for its nationwide care and coverage. But this is more about Anmed health care in Anderson. I did not know what to expect when I got here nor was that in any very good shape to know what was going on anyway. It would be easy to say that the food at in med health care is Beyond any doubt terrible. It is. I'm not sure how you can mess up scrambled eggs. However, with those factors underline, and notwithstanding what I want to say about this particular hospital is the level of the care of the people. Some hospitals are going to have bad food. Some hospitals are going to have good food. The thing that you have to hope for is that you have the highest level of personal quality from the nurses and staff all the way through the hospital. The people I have met over the last two weeks at this hospital have been the highest quality healthcare individuals. They have gone out of their way to make sure that my needs work hard for and that there was anyway they could reduce my suffering they did. They made late night runs to the commissary to pick up snacks and did everything they could to make me feel more comfortable. Today I am leaving going to a customer rehab center for the continuing of my care here. I want to think all of the people here who I came in contact with, and all of those who came in contact with me. I wish I could think of all the names of the people who have been so kind to me here but the number is far too many. Every day different faces. Different doctors. Different nurses. All I can tell you is that this is a very good hospital and they uphold the highest standards of care for medical professionals. read more

My Mother had to go to the emergency room and while she was their they gave her the covid test and tested positive, which she had twice at the nursing home and tested neg. Because of this they would not let no family members visit and no Dr. or Nurse called to let you know have your mother was doing and if you called and leave your number no one called you back. I have one question, you won't let the family come in but Dr.'s and nurse come in and out all day and then go home to their family, shopping and eating out and come back to work, but you won't let the family come see if your mom is ok. read more

Wonderful Treatment!!! My Mother was rushed there for an emergency surgery and this hospital took such great care of her from e.r. to surgery to recovery (Ms. Cheri in recovery and Ms. Shelly are the best!) to her way home. We probably spent about 4 hours in e.r. but it was very busy. I have to say this is the best hospital!! Thank everyone again for taking such good care of my Mom! read more

They really need to expand their ER. They always have VERY long wait times, understaffed, and Many times a patient must wait in the ER when they are to get admitted. Recently Brought our mom into ER, she is 83, recently diagnosed with Cancer and is having complications. She sat tin the ER waiting room for more than 5 hours, People were leaving the waiting room because of the wait. she finally got into a room and needed to be admitted, but ended up spending the night in the ER room. If I could give this hospital negative stars I would. It has now been proven that this hospital only sees patients as numbers. My mother is very ill(Cancer- 4th time, and heart problems brought on from the chemo treatments)but still alive and kicking. We were pressured daily about signing a DNR for her. We were told that her body was shutting down and one Dr advised placing her on the 7th floor in Comfort Care. He advised that she could be there for days or even months. They stopped administering her any of her meds and stopped taking her vitals on a regular.She could no longer get out of the bed nor feed herself. When she had a bowel movement it was in her bed and at times it took nurses extended amounts of time to come and clean her up. She was there MAYBE 2 days when another Dr, Dr Vipin Verma contacted us to pressure us to place her in Hospice as her life would soon be coming to an end according to his views of her patient records. This man called my sisters cellphone and my mothers hospital room if my sister did not answer SEVERAL times a day for 3 days pressuring us to put her in hospice. Looks like this hospital was afraid for a sick person whom THEY stopped administering vital meds to could possibly die in their hospital. This man tried to blow smoke up our butts claiming how our mother is not just a number but an actual person. Well that's a pile of bullshit. My mother is now home with a nurse that comes to sit with her and care for her daily. I only hope that the week she was taken off her meds doesn't do anymore harm that's it already had. This review will only be the beginning of the leaps and bounds I will be going through to prove how irresponsible and inhumane this hospital is. For the few good nurses and Drs at this facility I would advise jumping ship before this place becomes a permanent stain on your resume. read more

My dad came in with a bad gash on his arm with tendons showing, blood seeping through his bandage that the EMT gave him, and he waited for 5 hours before a nurse saw him. 5 HOURS in excruciating pain. My brother and I arrive with deep concern and the lady behind the desk seemed clueless, nurses were on their phones... Unacceptable. I will never come to this place again. read more

I've always heard AnMed was the worst ER, but I was in such pain recently that I went there. The day staff were so disrespectful and condescending. A nurse told me I needed to stop "being so loud, there are other patients" and called me baby several times. I was occasionally and unintentionally crying out in pain (from an ice-pick migraine) and had described said pain as worse than being in labor. The doctor had already prescribed pain meds for me but this nurse felt the need to chastise me instead of bringing the shot to help me (and solve everyone's problem). A woman in the next area was treated and released for a UTI before I even saw a doctor. I'll go to GHS in future. read more

Arrived in extreme, abdominal distress..entered ER, in 20 minutes I was examined, given a shot of morphine, had IV port inserted, another 15 minutes had CAT scan, thankfully nothing too serious, but needed IV antibiotics, so spent the nite on 4th floor..great, great nursing and assistant staff..Discharged..24 hours later, received follow up call by nurse to make sure i was ok..my first time in my 56 years, ill and hospitalized..great health facility, almost like a vacation, especially the morphine and oxycodane...for desert.. read more

Just took my 4 year old with a possible concussion to the emergency room and after 7 hours of waiting they still couldn't tell us when the doctor would be able to see her. I came in twice in one month not being able to breathe because of chest pain. I had been diagnosed with pleurisy at an urgent care center that gave me cough syrup. I was in worse condition when I went to anmed. I waited for 3 hours not being able to breathe. Everyone acted miserable and kept talking to me like a child, saying I needed to breathe and that i would pass out if i didnt. That was one of the reasons I was there! I got extremely dizzy and fell on the floor because they refused to give me a wheelchair. They took xrays of my lungs and some blood. They found "some kind of infection" but didnt know what it was. I should have stayed overnight but they were in a rush to get me out even tough I was in tears with pain and on oxygen coughing non stop. The real kicker, they gave me NO medicine. Nothing for the infection and nothing for the excruciating pain. If you're under 40 they wont give you any pain medication. I went a second time unconscious a week later. Apparently they did the same thing from what my boyfriend told me. So that same night they took me to Greenville memorial and they took my condition seriously, and set me up with a pulmonary specialist and an ENT. LONG story short, I'll have to be on the literal verge of death to go to anmed ever again. read more

In ER with my 28 year old grand daughter..finally in a room after two hours..and it was not real busy when we arrived. Male nurse came in, asked questions gave her a gown and has not been back. I went to restroom n he was sitting at a computer looking at social media n twirling a fidget spinner. Some nurse! No wonder so many people complain about this ER. read more
