The lady I requested to not have did my hair so I was already mad. Then she asked how much I wanted off so I said an inch. And then she just started cutting away with no sense of direction or measuring. I've had a lot of haircuts and they always measure how much there cutting with there other hand. She never used her other hand the whole cut. It was awful, then as I was alr fuming, I asked a simple shave of my uni brow, and they absolutely ruined it. Didn't even get my hair colored.The hairdresser felt uncomfortable doing the kind of haircut, and reiterated that she doesn't do haircuts like this a lot. The woman who cut my hair was nice, but I didn't think there would be a language barrier. And not understanding what I wanted when I kept showing her the photos. I'm not 100% fluent in Spanish and I felt bad. Not trying to be mean, but it's one of the worst haircuts I've ever had.

There are 17 stylists working in this location. The reason I chose Cathy was based on her profile - 45 years of experience in the industry. That is all I need to know. I booked her online and it was super easy. Hubby was very pleased with his cut. Cathy spent time talking with him before the cut. The conversation was pleasant and informative. In addition, he praised Cathy for her skill in using scissors which makes the hairstyle stylish. She charges 26 and up for the cut. What a bargain.

Great news for all the clients- as the cost of a color and cut is now $40 cheaper! I love that at Salon Lofts- each person runs their own business. No more dealing with a receptionist, and getting anxious about how much to tip the person who washes your hair. The whole time, from making the appt to purchasing products- you're dealing directly with Heather. I'm always very satisfied with the color and cut that Heather provides. I can never make decisions, so I usually defer to her expertise, and I've never been disappointed. If you have been to one Ulta Beauty, you have been to just about all. They generally carry the same…read moreitems unless in specific areas, etc. This Ulta also has a hair salon but I had never given much thought to it. Ben's Mom normally gets me a large gift certificate to Ulta each year for Christmas and even after I had bought the things I wanted I still had plenty. Now, I know the certificates don't expire but I was in the need haircut or at least trim the ends. I tend to wear my hair very long so I don't like when I ask for 2-3 inches off and then suddenly it is 6 inches. It seems to happen over and over even when I try new salons. So I made an appointment online, just picking a stylist that was available during the times that fit my schedule since I had no knowledge of anyone working there. I explained and showed her what my idea of 2-3 inches was to cut off the split ends and she said no problem and we continued the process. After she was done she dried my hair and curled it a little for me... everything felt great and I left extremely happy. It was actually the next day when the curls settled down more that I was able to get a better feel of my hair and just how well she listened to how I wanted it. 2-3 inches off the length and then layers that should follow where the previous layers could be seen but also trimmed. It's about time to get another trim and I have my fingers crossed that the same stylist still works there.
