The place was apparently getting it ) I showed Olga pictures what I was looking for ( choppy hair line close to the neck in the back And bangs going into longer hair on sides) (I wish I could leave a photo ) I came in with shoulder length all one length hair but I ended up with the the entire back chopped of straight across and bangs that look like a staircase to the right I kept telling her it's too short she kept saying be patient I'm not done and that I need to use a chemical relaxer for my hair ( hmm isn't that damaging for white girl hair more than a hot iron? ) When she was finally done tells me well this cut is not a good cut for me but I look beautiful I told her it is no way near what I showed her . Olga did my hair twice. The first time she did a great job cutting my hair as I had wanted. The second time she seemed to do what she thought she should as opposed to what I asked for. I asked for dark blond or light brown. I left as a brunette with red tones. She either couldnt or wouldnt do what I wanted. She cut my hair twice as short as she did the first time. I was charged $240 when the day before the receptionist told me it would be $120. Olga said it was because she needed to use four bottles of dye. My hair was short. I wouldnt go back and don't recommend Olga. read more

Great place! I always get facials here & the quality of the facials & the experience that they employees have is amazing. I have gotten microdermabrasion & glycolic peels. When you leave, they give you some samples of the face products to use to care for your skin after your peel. Have not tried the other services yet. I returned to La Mirage. Olga apparently is back. She's no movie star and has the personality of a cold hearted, detached person. She gave me a cut (55.00) and I also got a regular mani (25.00) and a regular pedicure (46.00) while there. The salon was completely deserted. For a Saturday! No one there. It was also the coldest day of the year and Olga didn't even have the heat on. Plus she was smoking and the whole building smelled of smoke. A very less than adequate atmosphere to say the least. Also, the nail room was small with four white walls. Wasn't nice like you'd consider a spa and salon. The Vietnamese places I've been to are wayyyy nicer! That's just sad. Plus they are half the price! Upon checkout, I presented a gift card for 100.00 that stated it never expires. I received it for Xmas. The front desk woman, Mary stated Olga (owner) will not accept it because the prior owners received the money. I stated why as it clearly states the same business name and could they work with me? Mary asked Olga and Her response was abrupt and cold as can be. She refused to honor it at all. Not even a penny. Mary apologized stating their attorneys told them they didn't have to honor it. What a joke! I didn't need to hear this extra added information either or about how this has happened to other customers with more gift cards than I have. I don't care! I WILL NEVER RETURN. Don't go to this place. It's not the same place it was or had the reputation of being. Horrible ethics and mediocre service to say the least. Was not an enjoyable experience. Consider any gifts cards purchased from this place as a charity donation. I'm out a 100.00 and will never return. Her haircut was average to say the least. Nothing great. read more

I decided to give La Mirage another try and regret my decision to do so. I showed my stylist a photo of what I wanted and she was confident that a partial would get me what I wanted...They charge so much to blow dry your hair so i just had her blow dry the top and I was immediately devastated, my hair was yellow, my baby hairs near my hair line/forehead were white as could be, and I had several splotches of my natural color on other parts of my hair line. I thought maybe using my high end purple shampoo would fix the mistake but it did nothing. On top of my yellow hair, I paid 109$ for a partial which is insane! I went back the next morning and they insisted that the original stylist had to be the one to correct it. She added... one foil..... and toned it but after one shower my hair is back to yellow. I have never been so devastated by my hair. I don't even feel comfortable going to work or out in public. I'm left with the top of my hair yellow and the bottom of my hair my natural color. I could have achieved better results by box dying my hair myself. I wish I could get my money back or that someone else could completely redo my hair free of charge. No one should have to feel like this! All of my friends and coworkers have asked "what did you do to your hair oh my gosh!" Safe to say, it's humiliating. read more

All I can say is Olga has made my hair look amazing again. It has been 2 years of switching from several stylist after I moved away from my other stylist. I haven't been able to find anyone who can give me my perfect cut that I once had. I was getting excuse after excuse. Like I was asking for a miracle but I once had the haircut I kept showing them. I ran into a lady in the mall with amazing short, fun and funky hair. She sent me to Olga and all I can say is "please Olga do not ever leave again"! I promise if you have short hair and want to feel beautiful again then give Olga a call. After a couple years (after my balayage was botched here) I decided to try La Mirage again with a different stylist that was recommended to me. I went for a full highlight root touch up and wanted to be toned a light cool blonde with a hint of lilac. She seemed super confident and excited to tone me this color because she's always wanting to do it to her blonde clients, but by the time my hair was done toning I had dark gray hair. I was visibly disappointed that my full head of bleached hair was now a gross dark gray and her only resolution was to go home and wash it and it'll fade to what I wanted it to be. Well after washing it 4 times that day I called back because it looked even worse. I went in and the really helpful assistants stripped my hair to get the gray out but now I'm left with this rose gold/pinkish purple blotches in my hair. I wish I had noticed it when I was leaving but I had been there for 6 hours by this point and was just ready to go. I contacted someone who works there again to see if they can do anything else before I seek help from a different salon so we'll see... read more

I finally visited the spa and so glad I did! I had a Swedish massage and facial. Both were relaxing, professional and clean. The spa has a huge waterfall in the middle and you can hear it in the room. I love it! They also have a sauna you can use. My only complaint is the robes. They were pretty worn. The spa itself is beautiful. The decorations are nice and everything is always sparkling clean when I go in. The waterfall in the back waiting area is a nice touch! The woman at the front desk isn't very friendly, but I put up with it because the lady who does my facials (Deborah) is awesome! Deborah is very welcoming and kind, and she is excellent at what she does. I have oily and problematic skin, and she really knows how to clear it up and give my skin a gorgeous glow. I have been coming to La Mirage for over 10 years to have my hair done by Vanessa. She is warm, friendly, and always takes the time to listen. She provides beautiful cuts, color, and she explains how to style it. I'm sure I'll regret writing this, because now I'll have to compete for appointments. My 17 year old son purchased a $45.00 pedicure for my birthday. In the package was a folder showing the prices for pedicures.. indicating it was a minimum 45 minutes...he was so excited to purchase this I was excited to go as well. This was a real treat that I was looking forward to. When I called to make the appointment, the girl on the phone was distracted and not listening at all. I added an appointment for a manicure as well. I explained I would like a morning appointment on a Friday. She told me to come in at 10:30. I arrived at 10:20 and was rushed to the manicure room. I got the impression that they thought I was late. The manicurist gave me a decent manicure,nothing great it was $35.00. This included special polish guaranteed to stay on for 2 weeks. She ushered me into the pedicure room where the foot portion of the chair kept moving back and forth and my foot keep slipping off the chair. Not the comfortable chairs they have in other salons I have been. It was clearly broken. I had to ask her if I could put the massage on the back chair, she got annoyed and put the chair on for about 2 seconds another employee came over to help me. She put my feet in the water for about 2 minutes maybe three tops and pulled them out, ran a cheap dollar store wooden stick on my foot and then wrapped my feet in a towel. Wiped some cheap lotion on my feet and then she started to paint my toenails... All I can say is 20 minutes and wham I was outta there. She sent me on my way with wet nail polish on my feet ... I went to pay and when the receptionist asked me how it went, I tried to explain to her but she clearly did not care... All I can say is WOW. You would think that an upscale salon that charges top dollar for a pedicure would have a professional behind the desk dealing with guests in a professional manner. I went to leave and noticed that my nails were all smudged. She did not put anything between the toes or have me sit 5 minutes to have them dry. I went to speak with the owner who clearly was rude, and said to me "oh, this is not worth getting upset over" Really! Like $80.00 is nothing to spend on a manicure and pedicure that costs half at the mall stores. anyway, I will never return here again.. I have been going to an amazing gal and she had my color PERFECT for a long time. She went on a leave of absence and so I tried another girl. Warning about CHRISTINE!!!!! She may go by Christina. She was filling in for my gal this summer and did my hair several times. The girl has a poor attitude towards her clients and is very unprofessional. If your hair takes a little more effort than most, she is unwilling, and if you want it straight and she thinks you need it curly, she will refuse to do your hair the next time you attempt to book with her and she will tell you that you are not a compatible fit for her specific client type. I am regretfully seeking out a new place to get my hair done where my hard earned money will be better appreciated. read more

I am tempted to give 1 star because the haircut was terrible, but the owner and Eugenia really helped improve my overall experience. It was my first visit and I had a lengthy discussion about what I wanted with Sarah, the stylist. We decided on an inch would be cut from the ends. I ended up with several inches and layers cut that were never discussed. She framed my face and even when I tried to stop her as she was getting ready to cut, she blatantly ignored me and said it was 'part of the cut'--and cut anyway! I stopped the cut and proceeded to the front to pay and leave. The owner called me before I left the parking lot and immediately got me in with Eugenia to do the color I had also booked. I was very happy with the color! As for the cut, it's going to take me some time to regrow and be happy again :( read more

I received a spa package here for a birthday present. I had never been here before and was really excited after checking out their website. Their prices are fair and it looked really nice. For the first part of my package i had a facial. The place is separated into the salon part and the spa area. They took me into the spa area which is incredibly beautiful and relaxing with a huge waterfall fountain, crystal chandelier, and comfy couches while you wait. The european facial was amazing. The woman did a great job and i was extremely happy with the results. My dissatisfaction came when i got to the manicure/pedicure part of my spa day. They took me into the pedicure room which was nothing special. I tiny room with fluorescent lighting and 2 massage chairs (the kind you find at the cheap nail places). It wasnt decorated AT ALL and not a very relaxing or ambient atmosphere. I was quite surprised at this since they obviously spent so much money and effort on making the spa area something really special. To make matters worse, the woman doing my toenails and the other woman doing nails in the room, complained the entire time of all of their health problems. My lady started with her sob story about how she doesnt make enough money to get fertility treatments. Then the two of them went on to talk about their back problems and how bending over all day doing toenails really does a number on them. No joke, they talked for about 40 minutes of my hour pedicure talking about their backpain. Im not trying to be nitpicky, but I find it very unprofessional to talk about money to clients who then feel like they are obligated to give you a bigger tip out of guilt. It also makes it very hard to relax and enjoy your services when they are complaining of the pain it causes them bc you then feel guilty for having them do it. I would go back again for any of their facials, massages, or body spa services, but the salon and nail portion of this place isnt the kind of place i would want to spend my money. read more

been here twice and NEVER AGAIN! They can't seem to understand what "TRIM" means. They confuse trim with butcher! You need to learn basic skills, such as when cutting curly hair wet, it will shrink as it dries. SO...when someone wants a trim, keep in mind the drying and shrinkage. ANOTHER visit, I had the Brazilian blowout. What a mistake. My hair has been thinner ever since. 0/2 means they can't handle it. I went in to get coloring done, showed the girl a picture of what I wanted, and came out WAY Worse than when I got there (A red coloring ring around my scalp with patches of color in my hair) Then as a different girl had to try to fix my disaster of a coloring, the owner charged me $75 to get the highlights done which were needed to lighten up the color needed to fix the red puke color patches on my hair. This review is long overdue, but I called to make an appointment for microblading in 2016, making sure to ask the receptionist if the permanent make-up artist on staff was familiar with this technique. All was confirmed and I couldn't be more excited to get this done. I realize now that I had already made a mistake by not doing adequate research and just trusting the recommendation from my then hairstylist (who was excellent at her job, by the way). Upon arrival, it was clear that the permanent make-up artist, Vanessa, would rather do regular permanent make-up on my eyebrows (filling in the whole eyebrow shape) instead of microblading (fine, hair-like strokes). She pointed to her own eyebrows, which were thinly tattooed, purple-ish arcs and said that mine could look like hers. I should have run for the hills then, but I stuck around and told her that I would prefer to go with the microblading technique, as originally requested. Instead of being truthful and telling me that microblading was not in her wheelhouse, she let me know that it would cost extra. I also sensed a shift in her attitude toward me, which I did not understand as I was about to give over $750 for something that I could have done in my garage for free. She did not discuss color with me and just went with "caramel", which looks orange in daylight. She did not shape my eyebrows beforehand and went with my plucking handiwork from a few weeks prior. She made about 8 hatch marks on each brow that look like this (except not as evenly spaced): ////////, and that was it. To this day, I hate looking at them and refuse to step outside without make-up to cover the hatch marks. If anything, this was a good learning opportunity that I should trust my gut and bolt, if needed, without feeling guilty or embarrassed. I hope this post is helpful to those who are considering permanent or semi-permanent make-up. All I can do now is thank the eyebrow gods that it's starting to fade and be more careful next time if considering another major cosmetic change. read more

I moved here from DC and was so scared to go to a new hair place since I've had bad experiences in the past. (I have fine, wavy, dark brown hair, that grows very very slowly.) I went to Tina - who will forever be my hair stylist as long as I live in Florida. She turned my dark brown hair to a beautiful natural blond color WITHOUT any orange/bronze undertones. It's perfect. She also cut my hair (the first person I have let do that in almost 3 years that's hoe much I trust her skills). My hair is perfect. It's everything I wanted and I couldn't be happier. My boyfriend bought me a gift card for my birthday for a massage and a facial. I called and made appointment for both on the same day. I then had to move appointment and when I called they just told me they no longer had massages. I was frustrated because they never told me they didn't have massages when I made the appointment and 2 days prior to the actual appointment they told me they didn't offer that service. Ok so I decided to use card for 2 facials. First one was a very basic facial. The 2nd one they charged me more money on top of was on the card and when I got home I realized she burned my face. My daughter made a phone appointment to have her hair highlighted with a caramel color. I wanted to check first the hair dresser reputation on line before going there but since this is a reputable, high class hair salon I trusted the chosen hairdresser she was given on her call. In addition, I have had hair cuts done in here and was pleased with the results . We went there last Friday and after showing Sarah her online pictures of what she wanted done , the color and asking her the breakdown of the fees, we agreed to proceed. Sarah, the hairdresser after seeing her hair and requests told me it was going to be $221 for full highlights, toner ,trim and blow dry . When she was blow drying her hair ,I noticed color was too intense and blonde and it looked like she had dye the top of her hair layers a blonde color instead of doing caramel highlights. I waited till dried and raised my opinion which my daughter agreed. Sarah didn't carry self well during the interaction and pretty much said it was my opinion and not my daughter. This response was so unprofessional. My daughter let her know how she was disappointed with the results . Sarah offer to tone down color following Monday two days after the coloring . At the time to pay for services and adding the tip , i noticed I was charged $20 more from what she had told us previously . I asked her and front person why she was charging more and she responded "I used more product" . Of course! she used more since she colored my daughter top hair all blonde!I don't think this is fair since she has already given us a total price and on top of that she didn't let us know during the process she was going to charge more., not ethical! I ended up paying a high price of $ 277 for a color we didn't ask and for a style we didn't request !! And we left unhappy . We came back on Monday to have her hair corrected and previous to that I called the manager and told her our visit , and her inappropriate response and our desire to have her hair corrected after we paid so much money there. My daughter was not 100% satisfied with the color corrections and let her know about . End of the story, I looked on line and found out hairdresser is too young to have experience in hair coloring . The lesson , do your research before you put your hair in other peoples hand, just because it looks high class don't mean you will get the best and be more firm and assertive when things don't look fair such as telling them you are charging more than what we told about .. lesson learn read more
