I keep going back and forth if its worth sticking it out for the amazing doctors, but the staff that are on the phones to schedule appointments are terrible! You better have thick skin when talking to them. Last conversation I had with them they insulted me as a mother questioning why i didn't make our last appointment, without even allowing me to explain LIFE and what has been going on in my world. Almost had me in tears. I am very torn on what to do, best case scenario i really hope they take all these yelp reviews into account and see how many people are unhappy with the office staff and hopefully replace them. I…read morecalled urgent care to make an appointment, the girl made my daughter a profile because she was a new patient but said she could be seen and her wart could be treated. We just walked into the building for her appointment and the girl behind the desk tells me that she can't be treated because she is a new patient and it's not considered a sick visit. I asked if she were an established patient, could she have her wart removed? The girl said, "yes." I explained that that was completely nonsensical and that I was told unequivocally from an employee that she could be seen at urgent care because she had made her a patient profile. Ridiculous. We were in the lobby. No one was there. I heard people pallin' around in the back. I guess the well being of kids and paying customers isn't worth their time. What a horrible way to treat people.

We've only been with the practice a couple of months now but I've been so impressed with Dr Alzein each time my baby, toddler, or 6yo have seen him. There are definitely some issues around the front office staff being overwhelmed from an administrative standpoint, but those are unimportant to me relative to the quality of care. It takes a minute to get through by phone but to me, that's well worth it. I'd absolutely recommend Dr Alzein.

I told her the ENT said we didn't need to take them out and her response shocked me. "Did you see Mahoney?" She said the decision to leave them in was negligent. And in a more shocking turn of events, we found out her adenoids had grown back. That's very rare (less than 2%) but what's even crazier, is that I talked to another mom who went through the same thing at the same doctor, one year later. I can't guarantee this, but am convinced she did not properly remove them. We ended up seeing Dr. Kevin Casey for a tonsillectomy, second adenoidectomy, and turbinate reduction. I HIGHLY recommend him - he did a great job. I later found out that Dr. Mahoney sent a little girl home after some complications and that little girl bled to death so please please please see another doctor.
