We have been coming here for almost 10 years now and I love the doctors, the nurse practitioners,…read moreand nurses that we see. They really care about the kids and cater to them well. I love that if you have a sick kid, there is no need to make an appointment. They have walk-ins available at their North Michigan Ave location for sick children. Every time I leave a message to speak with a nurse, I always get a call back promptly to address my concern. Recently my toddler has had a fever and it was on day 5 and they have been very supportive with their advice and next steps of what me as a mom would need to do if the fever goes past the 5 days. Thankfully the fever did not come back after that 5th day but I felt like I was prepared with what the doctor told me after our visit, just in case it did happen. I love that they also are on the Healow App which makes it easy to make an appointment online without having to call and wait for the receptionist to schedule one for you. Overall, they are a great team of Pediatricians that help make my mom journey with a toddler and teenager a little bit easier.

For my friends who are also confused, you want to park in the Olympia Centre parking garage. It doesn't seem right, because the front of the building (facing Michigan Avenue) says 777 Michigan and that building has their own lot, but I called and she confirmed. Hope this saves someone some time and confusion!

Off to…read morecollege in the fall, the amazing pediatricians in the practice have been an integral part of my 2 brats lives and puts as well. Dr.Mikhail took care of my older one a preemie now a handsome young man soon to be 21 . My younger one was primarily seen by Dr.T over the years and so glad since they respect the kids like they do he adults at the practice. The staff are ever so cheerful and welcoming, remember to inquire about all in the family. Any new parents looking for a pediatrician don't look further ... this is the practice that nurtures and cares . Highly recommend!!

I recently took my 2-year-old daughter to CAHA for scheduled vaccines. Due to our religious…read morebeliefs, we do not consume pork products, so I explained that we had researched the MMR vaccine options and understood that the version commonly used in the U.S. contains porcine gelatin while the version available in England does not. I asked whether the office could sign a religious exemption form for school while we arranged to receive the alternative vaccine elsewhere, and we planned to proceed with the other vaccines during that visit. What concerned me most was that Dr. Gupta confidently told me the opposite -- that the England vaccine contained pork and the U.S. version did not. As a parent, I rely on healthcare professionals to be informed about the ingredients and contents of the vaccines they administer, especially when families are asking sincere religious or medical questions. It was disappointing to experience what appeared to be a lack of knowledge on such an important topic. Initially, the conversation was polite, and Dr. Gupta mentioned that my daughter's primary pediatrician could sign the exemption paperwork upon returning. However, after I relayed that the school needed the form sooner if possible, the tone of the interaction changed significantly. Dr. Gupta returned and stated, "We're not going to sign this," in a manner that felt unnecessarily passive-aggressive and dismissive. She then abruptly took the form back while I was reaching for it, which left me feeling uncomfortable and honestly shocked by how differently I was being treated compared to moments earlier. Thankfully, Dr. Tee later came in and handled the situation with kindness, professionalism, and compassion. She calmly explained that the office no longer signs religious exemptions and reassured us that my daughter could still receive the other vaccines we came in for. I truly appreciated her respectful communication and willingness to listen. I want to be clear that this review is not about CAHA as a whole, as we have had excellent experiences with several physicians there, including Dr. Tee, Dr. Lee, Dr. Sulley, and Dr. Mikhail. The practice overall has many wonderful and knowledgeable providers. However, based on this experience, I would personally encourage parents to ask questions and ensure they feel fully informed and respected when discussing care with Dr. Gupta.

The nice thing about this practice is that there are so many practitioners, so don't hesitate to…read morerotate through to find out which ones you like. The doctor we saw initially didn't do a great job at answering a lot of my questions, and I wound up crying the whole drive home. I was worried that if I made an appointment with one of the other practitioners that I'd offend the first one or that it meant I was being a bad parent. I finally made an appointment with another doctor after three other medical professionals gently recommended that we try a different doctor. It's not that the practitioners weren't competent (they were!), but the communication style left a lot to be desired. It's so important for your child that they have a doctor that you as the parent can also trust. Definitely feel empowered to find the doctor you feel most confident with. Other great things: - Once we found practitioners we did click with - they were absolutely fantastic. Easy to communicate with and answered questions clearly. - I've only great experiences with the front desk staff. I'm not saying this to invalidate the other reviews, just saying that I've had a totally different experience. They've been responsive, friendly, and helpful. - They offer walk-ins, a 24/7 nurse line, and house calls. We haven't had to use any of these, but I feel so secure as a parent knowing that we have such accessible care in the event that it is needed. - Great book selection in the waiting room. The Carrot Seed? Classic.

I've now been to each of the Weissbluth locations. I have a coworker who goes to this location and…read moreso I knew they had better parking in general than the Bucktown location. Also, the doctor I selected for my daughter's "official" pediatrician, Dr. Asha, is here so I figured I'd need to go here if I wanted to use her. Though we haven't been able to see Dr. Asha but for the time she was on rounds in the hospital after I gave birth a few weeks ago, we have been able to see Dr. Akta, whom we also met in the hospital. Dr. Akta is great, very friendly and good with my newborn. The check-in staff were friendly as well, and the nurse asked if we wanted her to wear a mask (yep! Still masking when out and about and especially with a newborn who has no immune system). The waiting area is similar to the other locations, with books, an aquarium, and whatnot to keep little ones occupied. This location seems particularly large and has a second floor--though I don't know those are exam rooms; it seemed like it was a space for something else. They also have several parking spots in their private lot, and given their location in the South Loop there's lots of street parking around as well.

The reason for 4 and 5 stars is I found it surprising that they charge an extra fee for filling out the Illinois State Health Exam form that I need to enroll our daughter in elementary school after her annual visit. Maybe other practices do this as well - it was a surprise and should have been explained to us as this was not the case at our previous pediatrician.

During the annual checkup covered by our PPO insurance, Dr. Hatter refused a blood test that has been done by the practice for years and she submitted 3 bills to the insurance company: one for Teen wellness exam, one of Doctor's visit and one for Medical/professional services all for 15 minutes my daughter spent with her. When I expressed my disagreement to the office that I am unwilling to pay for the extra charges, they sent me a letter to look for a different practice. If the annual visit is not for asking the doctor's professional opinion, then what is it for? It seems that Dr Hatter is more focused on billing patients, than of their wellbeing. If you are choosing North Suburban Pediatrics do yourself a favor and avoid Dr. Kelli Hatter.
