There is no doubt in our minds that Anna is the best in the business. First of all, you cannot beat the price for value you get. She puts her heart and soul into the work she does for you on your engagement photo shoot and the big day. There is constant communication leading up to the big day and never are you worried that she won't get the "perfect shot". Anna's photos are above all else, she has an eye for it. One that you cannot find around here - I dare you to try. She has done our first photo shoot when my wife and I 'came out', she shot the moment that I proposed to my wife, she did our engagement shoot and of course our recent wedding. She always has a TON of photos for you to pick from, perfectly edited, and a 'sneak peak' ready within 12hours of the shoot! Final wedding photos were delivered via email 4days after the wedding!! Incredibly grateful for Anna's work! We had reached out for her to be our wedding photographer after a recommendation and she encouraged us to consider doing engagement photos as well. We hadn't really given them much though but she blew us away with the shoot. Our wedding isn't till September but the engagement photos were so ridiculously epic and beautiful that our families and friends are positively gaga for more pics and are incredibly excited for our wedding. Anna helped us visualize how the choice of venue would affect the photos of an event. We highly recommend calling ahead to schedule an onsite consultation with her as soon as you have a venue in mind so she can help you get the most out of your venue. She primarily covers the Baltimore-Annapolis-DC area. She has a staff photographer and assistant to carry extra equipment. Her portfolio was very diverse in that it covered a plurality of ethnic weddings with ample indoor and outdoor shots. Her talents are most appreciated when presented with a super challenging lighting situation. Her planning ahead of time helped a lot. She brings more than a lucky shot as she shows shots from the same wedding. She is really enjoyable to be around all day. Other than wishing she could be a little more of a task master during the family photo shot or closer to us in DC, I am unable to think of anything more to wish for. We had a look at Anna's website and knew we wanted her as our wedding photographer. Other photographers had photos with just as high quality and good technique, but seemed too "removed" from the event. We wanted someone who was engaged with the event, whose photos look like they were dancing with us right in our circle of friends. Just a quick browse through Anna's gallery and we noticed right away her photos weren't detached and stagey, but spontaneous and really allowing her subjects to be natural, sometimes facing away, or capturing a moment of couples mid-conversation. We were impressed. I met with Anna for an initial consultation and we talked for an hour and she brought along sample photo books she had put together. She asked great questions from "How did you and your fiance meet?" to logistical questions like "How many people are you expecting? Is there space to set up additional lights if needed?" Having worked in entertainment and event planning, I appreciated that she was considering these things so early on. Our next meeting was the venue a week before the wedding. On the day-of, Anna & Lauren were completely chill, very professional and friendly. We had family members help to corral together our extended family (like herding cats!) and Anna & Lauren remained completely calm in the midst of all this. About 20 minutes before they left, they checked in with us to see if there were any people we wanted to get special photos with. I was able to get some wonderful shots even in those last few moments. Our first batch of preview photos came through FAST! I was amazed; and beyond that, I was so enthralled with how she and Lauren really captured the spirit of the day. Nothing seemed static or uninteresting- and they captured all those moments that we missed. It's a great surprise to see all the moments you weren't a part of. Anna. Still awesome. We hired her for our wedding in 2016 and she produced amazing images. We felt very comfortable with her and felt that she was worth every penny. 2017, we hired her for newborn pictures. Again, loved all the images. Is it possible to give 10 stars? Without a doubt, hiring Anna was one of the top decisions that I made as part of my wedding planning. From Day 1, Anna exceeded my expectations in literally every respect. Prior to the wedding, her turnaround time to my emails with questions, flexibility with respect to my requests, and organization with respect to the shots I wanted to take was an OCD/type A girl's dream. The experience working with her was so great that I actually wouldn't have regretted it if the pictures turned out just ok, but my obsession with Anna just got stronger and stronger. My husband and I are not naturals in front of the camera. He's impatient, and neither of us are naturals with respect to posing for pictures. That said, Anna made us feel at ease, told us what to do, and hit the shots we needed quickly and efficiently. She had the list of requested photos with her at all times, but also proactively recommended different shots with good lighting/background that we hadn't even considered. She got candids and shots of all the little details to really capture the experience. But it gets better! After the wedding and reception, she had edited and sent us ~100 wedding preview pics by the time we had made it home from the after party. This was not even remotely requested, but I cannot tell you how special it was to be able to go through the pictures the next day with my new husband, family, and friends. I came to Anna for my engagement photos and we were so happy with our images! Aside from the fact that Anna is skilled at every aspect that goes into photography, the experience itself with Anna was really a pleasant one. I am not a very creative person but had a rough idea of the kind of theme I wanted for my photos. Luckily, Anna somehow could envision exactly what I wanted without me explaining much, and used her creativity to take us to Washington, DC, a sentimental location for my fiance and I and take photos in front of famous landmarks in beautiful, sunny weather. The photos came out flawless, vibrant but nostalgic at the same time. Anna took great care when editing our images and made sure we received photos of the highest quality.
