I was disappointed with my experience at Anna Health Gynecology & Obstetrics in Falls Church, particularly with the lack of transparency around pricing, insurance coverage, and lab procedures. Before ordering tests, I expected the office to clearly explain what was being ordered, which laboratory would be used, whether the testing was likely to be covered by insurance, and what the potential out-of-pocket cost could be. Instead, I felt there was very little pricing transparency, leaving the patient to discover possible coverage or billing issues afterward. I was also frustrated by the handling of bloodwork. The office scheduled my appointment for 3:00 PM, but I later learned that their cutoff for blood draws was 2:45 PM. In my view, an office that schedules and performs these procedures should know its own laboratory cutoff and should not schedule a patient for a time when the required bloodwork can no longer be completed. There also appeared to be insufficient staff available to perform the blood draw, and the overall process felt poorly coordinated. For an OB/GYN practice where lab work is a routine and important part of patient care, I expected the staff to be much more knowledgeable about their own procedures, scheduling requirements, and billing process. My biggest concerns are the lack of pricing transparency, inadequate communication about insurance coverage, and poor coordination between appointment scheduling and laboratory services. Patients should be given clear information before tests are ordered so they can make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary appointments or unexpected bills. read more

I am not one to share my experiences unless they are truly exceptional. I have been a patient of this Practice a little over three years now, and I have never had a bad experience. From the phone encounters to seeing Dr. Le, everyone is extremely professional, but they also go above and beyond trying to learn everything about you. (I am a talker, so it's great for me!) I have seen Dr. Le every time I have gone in, but her techs, Virginia and Isabella, are the sweetest girls as well. I also have a terrible time remembering names, so I try hard to at least remember them. The front desk ladies are also exceptional. You would never be able to tell that they are having a bad day, because they always greet you so pleasantly. I don't have a bad thing to say about this Practice, and I am sure that anyone who goes there will have the same experience I do. I am thankful, because women's issues are usually unattended and thought to be "mental," but it's amazing to have a provider that listens and cares and above all is probably the sweetest doctor you will ever meet. I had such a positive experience at Annandale OB-GYN. Dr. Lee was incredibly kind, calm, and thoughtful throughout my entire visit. She made me feel comfortable, answered my questions with care, and brought such a peaceful presence to the room. She has a gentle way of connecting that instantly puts you at ease. If you are ever looking for an amazing doctor that you could truly trust, go see her! I also want to take a moment to highlight Dr. Payam, who has been a consistent and trusted presence in my life for years. I've seen him in the past, my family sees him regularly, and I've had many conversations with him over time. He is hands-down one of the most genuine, compassionate, and dedicated professionals l've ever met. His kindness and the way he goes out of his way to support and guide people is something truly rare in medicine. He's the reason I came to this office, and I'm so grateful for that. This review is for Annandale Fertility. I had such a positive experience here, and I especially want to call out Lan, the IVF Coordinator. I came into the process feeling very stressed and anxious, but Lan made me feel calm and supported every step of the way. She is incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, always taking the time to explain things clearly and answer all of my questions. Her compassion truly made a difficult process so much easier to go through. The entire Annandale Fertility team is wonderful, but Lan's guidance and warmth really stood out to me. I came in here for a new patient visit. It's a two level facility and is very clean and bright. Both the receptionists were very nice and friendly. It was very easy process to get checked in and checkout. Some of the services they have are: gynecological care, hysterically, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, gynecological surgery, menopause, etc. I felt really comfortable coming in here as a new patient with a different insurance policy. My OBGYN recently went private practice and joined this group. The facility is clean and boutique-like, the staff are friendly, and my Dr. truly listens to me and and has a great bedside manner. My only suggestions is they put their lab area behind closed doors instead of behind glass by the reception area - not everyone is ok with needles and lab equipment just out in the open for viewing. Also this practice is not linked with MyChart so it is a bit of a hassle because you have to go to a separate website to track your health. read more

This is the second time coming to this location, and the only reason is that my doctor recommended Dr. Le. I am over 1.5 hr away and it really difficult to come to NOVA coming from the Shenandoah mountains, but for my doctor's recommendation and my health I decided to go again. The first time I came was last year and they booked my appointment incorrect, but I understand that people make mistakes and let it go. Today, I arrived at the office and one of the receptionist was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in and the other was busy scrolling on facebook to look up, and continue to be on her phone for majority of my check in. My appointment was booked incorrect again, which was disappointing to hear. I was called into the very first room on the right side, very close to the entrance where the front desk area could see in my room. While the assistance who was trying to take my medical history was very nice, it was difficult to understand her questions at times, I had to repeat myself and I am not sure that she recorded my medical history correctly. Once that was done I was waiting for Dr. Le to come in but a PA in training said that she would be seeing my appt. I politely told her that I came to see Dr. Le, which is the reason that I drove so far for, she said that Dr. Le would look over everything after she was done, but I requested for Dr. Le one more time and she just kept repeating that Dr. Le would review everything after her, so I gave up. I basically did this drive for nothing. The appointment was going fine at first. She did listen to my concerns, performed the ultrasound, reviewed the treatment plan and a follow up in 2 weeks. She told me to get dress and to wait in the lobby for bloodwork, but she left the door wide open so everyone could see and just went straight in to Dr.Le's office. I could not get anyone's attention for several minutes to please help me and to close the door so I could get dressed. I had to wait until the front office was clear and no one coming in the hallway to quickly get up from the table and close the door so I could get dress. Never got a chance to hear Dr. Le's thoughts about the treatment plan or if she agreed to it or recommended something else. I wish they would have told me when I confirmed the appointment that I was going to see a PA in training, and I wish the PA in training would have listened to me when I asked for Dr. Le instead. The whole reason I took the time off, waiting for about a month, and drove so far was to see Dr. Le but in the end I was left very disappointed and embarrassed. read more
