Our journey at this clinic didn't start off the best. After two failed egg retrievals, we made the difficult decision to switch doctors -- and that's when everything changed for us. Dr. Owen was truly amazing in every way. She took the time to genuinely listen and understand what we needed. She has such a caring heart and always made me feel like I was her most important patient. She carefully analyzed every result and personally called with detailed explanations, which meant so much during such an emotional process. I always felt like I was in the very best hands. Under her care, we had two successful egg retrievals, and on our first transfer, we got pregnant. We are beyond grateful -- there really aren't enough words to express how thankful we are. That said, the billing department needs significant improvement. Communication was very difficult -- phone calls often went unanswered with no callbacks, and responses were typically limited to once per day. Payments were missed on their end, so I strongly recommend tracking everything carefully. Bills were also not sent promptly. My wife and I Had testing completed to become informed about our health - when we had our follow up meeting with DR CHEN - the doctor proceeded to sell us on IUI and IVF without even going over our test results. During infertility, a woman can lose hope and dignity. Relationships can fray. A sense of self weakened. CCRM NoVa has truly skilled doctors, but its operations team only adds to everything a woman loses in this already-trying process. It's the day after Thanksgiving, and I'm in a waiting room with 25 other women. Waiting. For hours. We each had an appointment time, which was meaningless. We lost this pseudo-holiday to drive here and wait. I'll also note, unlike any other fertility clinic I've been to, CCRM NoVa allows children in the waiting room, which to some is another marker of insensitivity. Expect competent doctors, but also expect this practice to make your already stressful experience more stressful and frustrating. read more

My experience with CCRM in Vienna was defined by poor communication, lack of transparency, and delays that could have been avoided with basic follow-through. I'd started care in Feb and decided to move to IVF in May asking to try for a July or Aug cycle and what steps were required to meet a this timeline, I was never given a complete answer. Critical requirements were only mentioned late in mid July -- including an additional appointment with my doctor that wasn't available for weeks -- making it impossible to stay on track. Messages, calls, and voicemails often went unanswered for days. During the last week of attempting IVF with CCRM, I sent 5 messages, made repeated calls, and left 2 voicemails with no reply until my husband escalated the matter. I decided to move forward as a remote patient instead using my previous out of state clinic, and told to call the main number to schedule. Next cycle I call to schedule and but after 2 days, 15 calls and 2 voicemails they could not accommodate the sonogram I needed in time. Not wanting to loose a 3rd month to CCRM I've moved on. The lack of organization, responsiveness, and proactive communication undermined any confidence I had in their ability to manage time-sensitive care. Patients should not have to chase down basic updates or piece together information that should be shared upfront. For a clinic with CCRM's reputation and pricing, the level of service I experienced was unacceptable. read more

Avoid this clinic! They had us transfer not one but two mistested embryos, that should have never been graded as 6AA. Both transfers had a chromosome abnormality that should have been flagged in testing. Also, their service at this clinic is awful. My husband and I are very grateful for the kind and compassionate care of CCRM staff. The billing department is frustrating to work with but they have nothing to do with the amazing care I received through the rest of the staff there. You just have to advocate for your finances, but once you get in touch with billing they work with you to make sure you clearly see and understand what you are paying for and what is covered. Dr Owen helped us navigate through 2 IVF cycles and 1 successful transfer. She is very personable and truly seemed to care about our success and trying everything to help our odds and it did end up giving us success. The lab staff made mistakes all the time, besides poor communication, messy billing and rude administrative persons. After I decided to pursue treatment with CCRM, I request sperm to be shipped from a previous clinic. I signed a consent sent over by Katie Rhodes-Long, who did nothing about this for the following 3 weeks. 4 days before my scheduled cycle start, I called the front desk to followed up on status of sperm shipping, and found out Katie didn't even contact the sending clinic and it will take a couple of weeks after the sending clinic sends over my medical records. While I called a few times to coordinate between the two clinics by myself, the front desk yielded at me over the phone for calling too much. The cycle was canceled due to unavailability of the sperm. In another instance, the doctor sent a lab order, but lab forgot to test one item on the list. Ivf success is determined 50% by the doctor and 50% by the lab. Even if the doctor managed to get good quality eggs, the embryo quality can be ruined by a careless behavior in the lab. I don't see the lab is trustworthy for me to continue treatment with them. read more

The Doctor is great and professional. The technician and nurses are great, caring and professional. Front desk staffs are friendly. HOWEVER, if you need them, only voicemail or wait for them call back, feels like you told to a robot, everything via app. I understand all Fertility like that, and other places even worse than CCRM. But this is very stressful and frustrated. And as patient, you have to take care of all your bills and finances responsibility, and you have to make sure they follow up your message. Because I didn't follow up my insurance and making sure they clipped "accept", I paid out of pocket for my medication over 10,000. I "know" I should take responsibility for that. They work from home, did they really do their job? Or just work from home as baby sitter? I have no idea, why all Fertility centers like this? I regret the time, energy, and money I wasted with CCRM that yielded no results. Frustrating dealing with their billing department - we tried to pay by check through our HSA which went to an unmonitored mailbox. We paid the amount owed, then overpaid (kept receiving bills), received empty apologies for the multiple charges, were refunded payments - and are still getting bills from appointments from 8 months ago. We could not recommend Dr Payson and the care team at CCRM NoVa more highly - we came in for diagnostic testing early on, which led to IVF, and went through 1 egg retrieval and 3 transfer cycles, the last of which was successful and resulted in the birth of our baby girl. Dr Payson is a brilliant and empathetic doctor who was genuinely invested in working through the nuances of our treatment plan at every step to maximize our chances of success, always available to answer questions and talk through data and research studies at our request, and paid close attention to our case throughout (including after we had graduated) to ensure we received excellent care. The nurses are kind, knowledgeable, and responsive - I had a lot of questions, especially after unsuccessful prior cycles, and Jen could not have been more helpful in talking through questions, getting us on the phone with the doctor as frequently as needed, as well as facilitating billing and the administrative side. Mark the phlebotomist is amazing (through many procedures, no one has been as dexterous in navigating my small veins), as are the rest of the nurses and staff. We would not have a baby without the excellent, compassionate, and results-oriented team at CCRM. We have many friends who have gone through IVF at other clinics, and we can confidently say this is the best fertility clinic and Dr Payson is the best fertility doctor in the DMV area. read more

Dr. Carpinello is simply the best. She was patient and thorough as she walked my husband and I through the steps of the IVF and FET processes, and was just as encouraging and empathetic as she relayed/explained our (sometimes disappointing) results. There were several times where Dr. Carpinello called me directly, when we didn't have a meeting scheduled ahead of time, to discuss next steps, provide her recommendations, and answer any questions I had. I never felt talked down to or "just a number." While I was under Dr. Carpinello's care, I was also able to cycle through the other 3 doctors during my monitoring visits, and they had all been great as well. The nurses, particularly Julia and Sally, were helpful and knowledgeable, especially when it came to dealing with my insurance company to ensure that I received my medications in time. Because blood draws was also such a large component of the IVF process, I also have to give a huge shout out to Mark, the amazing phlebotomist who could always find my tiny dehydrated veins. A little over a year after our initial consultation with Dr. Carpinello, during which I underwent 4 IVF cycles and 1 successful FET, CCRM has "graduated" me, which means a normal OB/GYN clinic will now take over the rest of my prenatal care. It's bittersweet because while a viable pregnancy is the ultimate goal of our IVF journey, I have also felt very spoiled by the attentive care from CCRM. I don't think most of us dream of the day we seek fertility treatment, but if that is your path, I can't recommend enough Dr. Carpinello and CCRM. read more

This place is probably the most expensive in town. For example, a 20 minute intake call will set you back $500. So you would expect their service to be the best. Yeah right. Front desk staff are unresponsive and unhelpful. Don't believe me? Try getting a call back. You will be waiting and waiting (as other Yelpers have noted). It does not matter whether you're waiting for someone in finance or someone from the medical team. The doctors seem to be aware of this issue (they told us to "feel free to follow up"), but that doesn't excuse bad behavior. And it doesn't make CCRM's service any less frustrating. Unfortunately, it does not seem any of this will change. They are simply too busy (as the front desk staff constantly reminded us). read more

Dr. Carpinello has been the best physician I've had in any setting. I have the utmost confidence in her clinical judgment, and I feel she is genuinely invested in us, not just our outcomes. Her empathy feels authentic. She possesses the perfect combination of clinical and interpersonal skills. She is approachable and takes the time to listen and answer questions. I've never felt rushed with her. Her DC staff is cordial and efficient. The clinic communication has improved significantly with the new patient portal. I started my process with Dr Payson and he was amazing throughout the process. He was kind, always happy to see us and guided us through the entire IVF process. I had really bad experience with another practice in DMV area so my main concern was if I would see doctor during the regular visits and if my routine tests would be done by him or someone who is not just doing another test. For my every appointment I would see Dr. Payson, or Dr. Owen. Both of them took time to explain the next steps and would really address my concerns/questions. The other technician and staff was amazing as well. When I was kind of graduating from their practice to my Ob-gyn, I wished I could continue with them as my Ob-gyn. I cannot say enough nice things about CCRM (Tysons location). Initially, I started the IVF process with Shady Grove in DC (K St location), but after one too many horrific experiences - I restarted IVF with CCRM.... and THANK GOD I DID! My wonderful experience at CCRM is night and day compared to the nightmare that is Shady Grove. The staff at CCRM is communicative, professional and actually treats you with care and respect. I worked with Dr. Payson's team. He is absolutely brilliant. Dr. Payson took the time to address my many questions and concerns. He also walked me through every fertility option using language that I could understand. The difference in care (and caliber of facility) was apparent within seconds of walking through CCRM's front door. The facility at CCRM is lovely - clean and new, with modern furnishings and lots of natural light. SGF's facility was dirty and dingy :( Another important difference to note is CCRM conveniently offers everything under one roof - your lab draws, ultrasounds - even the egg retrieval procedure. At SGF, your egg retrieval is at an entirely separate facility out in Maryland. At my first CCRM appointment, the staff greeted me by name (whereas at SGF - you feel like just a number in a waiting room that is so packed - it's standing room only). I came hobbling in with a freshly sprained ankle, and the front desk staff ran over to physically act as my crutch. They escorted me to a chair where they propped up my leg, and retrieved an ice pack for me. When the phlebotomist came out, he was extremely kind, and walked with me at my (very slow) pace. He addressed me as "ma'am," which was super polite. He explained what labs were being drawn, when to expect the results, and how to obtain them. At Shady Grove, I had to ask all of the questions or I would have no idea what labs were being done. Shady Grove also took MONTHS to upload my results (after I followed up multiple times), and provided zero context or explanation for my lab values. At CCRM, my results were uploaded and explained to me within 48 hours. Fast forward to my ultrasound at CCRM. Dr. Payson's team explained everything in the image: i.e the number of follicles, what's considered to be a healthy range, the shape of my cervix, etc. At Shady Grove, I (again) had to ask what I was looking at, and the technician was very rude. These are just a few examples that illustrate the difference in quality of care between the two fertility centers. If you are considering IVF - please go with CCRM - because it is a center that treats such a personal and emotional process with the respect and compassion it deserves. read more

By no means was I an easy patient but Dr. Owen helped me through everything, always told me how it was and pushed back on me when I wanted to push the envelope. I will be going back to try for baby #2 shortly. Mark, the Phlebotomist is also a gem and makes you relaxed about feeling like a vampire's best friend. tl;dr: Dr Payson is awesome and very, very good at his job. his medical expertise gave us a healthy baby in our 40s. Communication with his staff and the billing department is a nightmare though.  Details: If you're struggling with failed ivf cycles, especially in your mid to late 30s, go see Dr Payson. (I was 41 when i saw him first) I did 5, FIVE, ivf cycles at Shady Grove at Tysons and was basically told there was nothing else they could do. The doctor there didn't even talk to us after the fifth cycle and when we decided to withdraw. It felt like a well-run factory with not much personal touch. Dr Payson was realistic but positive in our consults. I could sense his frustration at the protocols the SGF doctor used and a couple of medical decisions he made. But he was very measured and neutral in telling us what he thought went wrong and how he could help. I appreciated his honesty so much. My first cycle was a success and I have a beautiful baby at the age of 42 with my own egg! I have so much gratitude for Dr Payson and his medical team for making this a reality for us. However, I also want to acknowledge that this could've easily been a 2-star review if my cycle had been unsuccessful because of other issues at the clinic.   Dr Payson's team is very good but I think the whole clinic is understaffed because communication is kinda a nightmare. They launched a new portal since i graduated so i hope that has helped but during my time I had to send them multiple emails and follow up to get a reply. and I agree with other reviewers that the billing/finance department is a nightmare. They charged us extra and I had to contact them multiple times to get the bill fixed. The best person I encountered there after Dr Payson was the person who draws your blood for tests (I'm sorry, it's been so long, I've forgotten his name!). What a rockstar. Bottom line up front - Do not recommend this place due to unresponsiveness and unclear and conflicting instructions. I have had horrible experience with the Vienna, VA office. First, getting someone to answer the phone is like winning the lottery. They have justified it with "power/phone outage" 3-4 times in the course of 9 months (and I have not called every month). They will tell you to reach out via the portal with questions, but once you do that, you may get an answer in 3-5 days, 2-3 weeks, or never. If the latter, you may want to call the front desk, which brings you back to first issue - the "phone outages". It is bizarely weird that this is a business that has phone issues so often, yet the main corporate number seems to work just fine. So let's say you get the communication. Well, you may have to figure it out by googling it, or calling, or emailing. You'd think everything would be standard so that if there's a change in personnel, the language is understood by the patient no matter who is talking. I am no dummy, but the chart they sent me was unclear. The nurse finally got back to me and clarified things. Good so far. Next, the nurse assigned to me leaves for vacation in early - great, everyone needs a vacation, all for it. The other nurse assigned to me while my nurse was away responds to question I have using terminology not found in the instructions or discussed before. Okay, no biggie - just a follow up email to solve it. Well, guess what? The email response takes about 2.5 weeks - we are now in mid-July. So my nurse is now back (at least I think so), hurray!!! I send email on 8/23, it is 9/7 no response. I call the 571-789-2100 number and it is not working. Call main CCRM number, they manage to transfer me. The front desk now talks to the nurse who will talk to the doctor who will then get back to me. So yes, after months of waisted time here I am. I understand fertility is not an emergency, but months and months of delay are not okay. Once a patient-doctor relationship is established, then it is not okay for questions to be unanswered for weeks on end. I wholeheartedly do not recommend this place. read more

Let me first start by saying that Dr. Carpinello is amazing and this review in no way is reflecting on her. It is about the disorganization of this clinic. Considering this is a time sensitive issue and also just sensitive as a whole, it is unbelievable how delayed and awful the communication is here at CCRM. I came here to have a fertility workup after having a loss in January. Initially, things were ok. We got an appt for an initial consult and it was thorough and informative. Then, we were told we'd hear from a patient care coordinator. Might I point out that this person did NOT contact us until I called twice to find out what the hold up was. We started our workup and were able to get our testing complete. Fast forward and it all came back normal, which was great. However, we still decided to move forward with IVF. We then discovered that insurance would not cover until I was officially labeled infertile (stupid companies) so we were going to delay. I emailed to inquire when this designation could be made. During the time waiting for a response to my question (8 days ), I found out that I am pregnant (yay!) I called to tell them this information. I got a congratulations and they asked if I wanted to continue care with them or my OB. (Nice of them to offer). I chose to go with my OB who has better communication. A week goes by and I receive a rejection letter from my insurance company for IVF meds. Then I have to call CCRM AGAIN to ensure they understand I am pregnant. "Yes yes we know." Another week goes by and we receive papers to docusign for our "upcoming IVF cycle". I needed to call THREE times after this to get things cleared up. The last woman I talked to was very nice and helpful. It's just insane to me that in a situation where you are supposed to remain stress free and calm that communication could go that much by the wayside. read more

My wife and I did IVF with Shady Grove Fertility four times with no success. We were devastated. We both have nothing wrong with us. We were very close to giving up and decided to try CCRM. Dr. Payson delivered for us on the first go. We had a beautiful, healthy baby girl born in early October - truly a miracle. I cry every time I look at her. I asked Dr. Payson point blank what he thought separates CCRM from Shady Grove and why we were successful with CCRM and not Shady Grove. He praised the quality of CCRM's lab. We'll never really know for sure obviously why CCRM worked and Shady Grove didn't, but I can say CCRM delivered for us after one go around and Shady Grove did not. All I can offer are the results. Based on my own research and experience, Dr. Payson is the best fertility doctor in all of the DC area. My advice: don't mess around. If you want the best, go see Dr. Payson. I was 51 when we started. 3 embryos and a pandemic. After the first 2 failed, Dr. Payson was determined and able to successfully attached the 3rd embryo. At 52, you can imagine keeping my hormone levels right and the lining of my uterus optimal was not so easy as a 25 year old. What a beautiful practice, helping families grow with miracle babies. After our first meeting with Dr. Martini we felt heard and we had a greater understanding of this process. The care is truly individualized. During my treatment my nurse was always there to answer my questions. Mark the phlebotomist was so sweet & a joy to see regularly. I cannot rave enough about CCRM. IVF is intense. I trusted the process, trusted my doctors/nurses and took everything step by step. Its expensive, especially if you do not have coverage through insurance, but for us it was worthwhile as I type this next to my 3.5 month old daughter. read more

Where to start? I guess at the beginning! When you walk into CCRM, you're greeted by people who grow to know you. They know your name when you walk in to sign in and greet you with a feeling of comfort and ease. It seems like such a simple thing but you don't get that at every fertility clinic. This is one of the scariest times of your life and you feel vulnerable. But you're greeted by people who will become like family. Not an unknown stranger or traveling to different offices to see different doctors and feeling like one of the crowd. You're then taken back to get your blood drawn by Mark. Who basically brightens the day of every person he sees. He'll remember little things about your life and keep you smiling. Not to mention he's a pro at drawing blood. And I've had blood drawn a LOT. When you see the doctors, either Dr. Payson or Dr. Owen, you'll feel like they're going to get this figured out. They have the answers or even if they don't, they'll find them. Dr Moragianni (who is no longer there) and Dr. Owen have eased so many concerns of mine and I am forever thankful to them. Words genuinely don't do Dr. Owen justice. She gave us our baby. I mean how do you thank someone for that?! They truly care. Which, once again, you don't get everywhere. I originally went to another popular clinic and it felt like a factory. CCRM is not that. The nurses help you along they way, answering every little question quickly (and trust me, I had a lot). Jess, who is now the practice manager there, has truly become a friend. She eased every single concern, worry or fear I had (at all hours of the day) and went above and beyond to make me feel like I was the only patient at CCRM. Sometimes I forget I'm not hehe. Now, she gets updates every month on our growing little babe. Outside of our family, she's the first one I can't wait to send every ultrasound picture to. Our baby will most likely know her as Aunt Jess. I can't tell you how much she means to me. I'm convinced she may be an angel. And no one can prove me wrong. Our journey was not easy. We went through 4 years of unexplained infertility, 3 IUI's, 2 rounds of IVF and 1 embryo transfer, which truly felt like a roller coaster of emotion. But I can honestly say, if it weren't for CCRM I don't know if I'd be carrying our miracle baby right now. And I can't end without mentioning the embryologists. Holy smokes. Can we talk about people who are literally holding life in their hands. You meet them, they call you, give you updates, in my case- play our embryos Taylor Swift while they're growing and they go above and beyond to make you feel comforted, safe and heard. I mean, if playing our embryo Taylor Swift music is not going above and beyond... I don't know what is. Not only has CCRM helped us create our family, they have also become our second family. I cannot even begin to put into words what CCRM has provided for us... but of course, I'll try ;) They provided us comfort when we were battling one of the hardest trials of our life. They provided us knowledge and information when we felt lost. And the provided us with the means and science to create our little miracle baby. I am a 47 yo who froze her eggs at age 37-38 with another clinic and had two failed IVF cycles at age 45-46 at that clinic. We were filled with doubt when we met Dr. Payson for the first time, but he immediately filled us with the hope that had eluded us for so long. It is that hope that ultimately got us through a long, trying battle with infertility. While not every treatment was successful, Dr. Payson always maintained a positive mindset and sought to reassure us without coming across as being unrealistic. He was calm and compassionate every step of the way, and we never felt uncomfortable asking questions. No words can explain my gratitude towards Dr. owen, Kaitlyn, and the entire staff at CCRM. While I was a patient here, I received top notch care, and always felt my mental and physical health we being made a priority. I feel so lucky to have worked with Dr. Owen. She is leaps and bounds the best doctor I have ever had. She was always there for me, went above and beyond each appointment to make me comfortable, and just took such great care of me. The staff is also top notch. My nurse Kaitlyn was always so responsive, and we never had any issues with billing. The phlebotomist Mark made every visit pleasant. Dear Dr. Martini, Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for you as I write this letter. Now that we are finally pregnant I find myself frustrated that I hadn't met you a year before starting this process, but none the less please know that Tom and I both recognize the care and time you put into our case and we can't thank you enough for turning our dreams, and my dream since preschool into a reality. Since as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a mom. That dream was made known early on in my childhood when the only toys I wanted ti play with were baby dolls, and when I would be asked as a kid what I wanted to be when I grew up my answer was always a mom. I can remember being 15 the first time I had an ovarian cyst burst. I remember crying in my hospital bed and my mom thinking she needed to tell a nurse I needed more pain meds, and instead I had to stop my mom and tell her I wasn't crying because of that kind of pain, but instead at 15 I thought this cyst bursting would somehow impact me having children one day. I think it was also that day in the hospital that I thought to myself the road to motherhood may not be easy for me, but it was a dream none the less that I wouldn't be able to live without. You're care for me has blessed me with my life finally now being given the purpose I have so longingly yearned for, and I cannot thank you enough for sticking by Tom and I and not giving up on our dream when after having a couple miscarriages before beginning ivf, followed by two previous failed attempts before moving to ccrm, I began to feel defeated wondering how many more baby showers for ones that are not my own I would have to attend, and dreading the holidays knowing we'd be receiving Christmas cards of friends and loved ones growing families knowing all the while tom and I had remained a party of two. However thanks to your kindness and care for our case tom and I can now proudly share this long awaited news with our friends and family and for that we cannot thank you enough. We feel beyond blessed to have had you as our doctor, and I know that any woman under your care should feel so lucky to have you as there doctor through what is such a scary and frustrating time. I cannot say enough positive things about CCRM and their staff. My husband and I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Carter Owen in November of 2018. I had previously had testing completed through my OB and a large fertility clinic in Northern Virginia. Needless to say, they were horrible experiences. I had one doctor look at my results and say everything was fine (even though my FSH level looked insanely abnormal) and dismissed my concerns. That office actually made an error in the testing, which was the cause of the abnormal results...which we only discovered after Dr. Owen repeated all of the tests to be thorough. I also had a doctor tell us we'd never get pregnant naturally, which was incredibly disheartening so early on. On top of that, we dealt with insurances issues (tests that should have been covered, they refused to bill to our insurance). CCRM was a breath of fresh air. The entire staff is welcoming, positive, and a pleasure to work with. When I expressed concerns about insurance, one of the staff members called my insurance to document that it would be covered and promised to fight it if they tried to bill me. Scheduling was always simple. All of the nurses are so kind and thorough. I most often communicated with Jaime. I always had a ton of questions and e-mailed constantly and she always responded kindly and promptly. Dr. Owen was honestly one of the best parts of the practice for me. As I mentioned earlier, when I walked into the office...we'd had negative experiences in the past. I was overwhelmed and frustrated and really scared about what might be going on. She spent over an hour in that first appointment looking closely at all of my past history, answering all of my questions, and reassuring me that we'd make a game plan moving forward. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and patient that I immediately felt at ease with that appointment. I also really appreciated her extensive background in genetics. No matter what the future held, I knew I would be in good hands. She repeated all of the tests and always made a point to call me as soon as possible because she knew how anxious I was. I felt so supported throughout the entire process. When all of the data was collected, she helped my husband and I feel empowered to make the best decision for treatment moving forward. She presented all of the available options with research-based information to help us weigh the various costs and benefits and answered all of our questions honestly and thoroughly. We never felt pressured to choose one option over the other. She is truly all about helping couples make the right decision for them. When I got pregnant, I continued to feel extremely supported. She was there to answer all of my questions, monitor my early pregnancy closely, and make sure we felt confident moving forward. She even called me when I was around eleven weeks pregnant to check in and see how things were going. This was after I had already "graduated" from her care. I am blown away by her commitment to patient care and cannot recommend her or this practice enough. My husband even asked if we could pay extra to keep her as our doctor (haha!). Infertility can be isolating and frustrating. With Dr. Owen and CCRM as your provider, however, you will truly feel like you have a partner in this journey. CCRM IS THE BEST. HANDS DOWN! I have been with CCRM for over a year now. I was previously with another clinic where we did 3 IUIs, but were not getting the level of care that we needed and needed a different clinic for IVF. We switched to CCRM because they were a more focused clinic and their attention to care and detail was superb. The main reason that we switched was because your doctor does the ultrasounds, not technicians. This meant that I saw my doctor EVERY time I went into the office. I started with Dr. Moragianni who left the practice, and then switched to Dr. Owen. Both doctors were fantastic! I have also seen Dr. Payson as well when my regular doctors are not available. From start to finish, this clinic is the absolute best! You receive a warm greeting, a friendly blood draw by Mark, and you are quickly escorted to your room where you are seen promptly. The Practice Manager, Jessica, is so warm and so is Jen, one of the head nurses.  I had three egg retrievals, and the experience was great, even though sometimes hard mentally and physically. The nurses take such amazing care of you, and the embryologists feel like family. The lab is state of the art, and head and shoulders above the rest. I only know our embryologist, Alberto, by his first name because he started to feel like family. He always called us on time with our results and answered every question I had. I graduated today, 8 weeks, pregnant and I am thrilled, but also sad to leave this amazing clinic. I will definitely be back! This clinic is top tier, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. You absolutely should use them because you will have a wonderful experience and you will be in the care of the world's best. They are absolutely horrible at the Vienna, Virginia location. Dr. Payson use to have a high level operating staff and now his team is the worse! His nurses will not respond to the patient portal, they do not return phone calls, his front desk staff is rude and they leave you on hold for extended amounts of time. Brittany and Jasmine in the finance department should be fired! They are useless and no help. They spend more time on their cell phones then assisting patients! This place is pure hell to deal with you. read more

Cannot give enough praise to CCRM in general and Dr. Carpinello specifically. After transferring from another clinic (Columbia Fertility) after an unsuccessful year+, we found *everything* to be superior at CCRM--the facilities, the prowess of the embryologists in the lab, the communication, the front desk and support medical staff, the phlebotomist (Mark!), the nurses (esp. Kaitlyn!), and most of all, our doctor, Dr. Carpinello. Dr. Carpinello was exactly what you want in a reproductive endocrinologist--knowledgable, warm, communicative, with an A+ bedside manner. She expertly guided us through the IVF with donor egg process, and we were thrilled to get three embryos, and pregnant on our first transfer. The only downside of such an efficient experience is having to "graduate" from CCRM! As a note: part of the way through our process, we ended up with a hefty charge that we felt wasn't appropriate. We got in touch with the financial office and our medical team to refute the fee, and they listened to us, understood our concerns, and voided it immediately. What could have been a headache was rectified smoothly. read more
