Mike was personable, friendly and knew so much! I have a masters in history and I was fully impressed with his wealth of knowledge and interesting anecdotes. Booking was super easy and once that was done, I received regular emails from Vino 301 and texts until the day of the tour. We were picked up this past Saturday (4/20) at the appointed location and time. We boarded a very well appointed van with about 4 rows of seats that accommodated us all. I felt very safe on the rides to and from the wineries. Our host and driver were super friendly and treated us like royalty. Prior to arriving at each venue, we were provided some background and things we should know in advance. She more or less herded us from place to place, which was actually quite comforting. I felt very well taken care of AND seen as I was the only one on the tour not drinking, but I was provided water and other beverages over the course of the day. They all had a restaurant or buffet for breakfast and a dining room/or bar for evening accommodations should you choose . Maybe not 5 star but at minimum a 3++ . I-chose a single room because I value my alone time at end of the day to decompress. The meals provided were at very nice restaurants and there no monetary limitations, but you paid for your own alcohol. The events /tours were as described and it was so nice not to have to wait in lines to get tickets as you would had you booked privately . The travel coach is small, not like a bus because they limit the # of persons on the tour. Kind of like an Oversized van with seats. Be sure to pack small as the luggage goes onto the rear and is packed like Tetris cubes. There was also ample free time to explore on your own. It was nice to feel the safety of travel with a group of like minded women and I have booked future trips. BE sure to read the cancellation policy and buy travel insurance to cover you for life's unexpected events. Traveling solo doesn't mean traveling alone with this group. I felt very lucky to have such a great tour leader, who was meticulous about the details to make it a very effortless, special and inviting trip. The small group is great for me as I am not so overwhelmed with meeting so many new people, as can happen on larger mixed group tours. My group gelled so well and when it was time to return home we all felt a little melancholy! I think about them often.

I have shared these trips with women who have been well traveled, friendly and caring from across the country and Canada. Starting out as strangers, by the end of the first night, we've bonded through our love of travel and more importantly laughter. The tour guides have been mostly spectacular. As the goups are quite small, I have enjoyed experiences in places that I probably would not have visited such as on Route 66 and in Northern Idaho. The company has a very high number of women who have taken more than 10 trips with them.

A lot of parents leave their college age spring breaker to make the reservations with a lot of assumptions and lack of knowledge about the trip they just booked. I think parents need to guide their young adult to minimize assumptions and confusion about what they are paying for and what they are actually getting. I talked to STS twice after I read the travel arrangements made by my child's large group of spring breakers headed to Cancun. I found out exactly what was included, what were the procedures, how to pre- order the shuttles, what to expect for dining, what to expect with off premise excursions, and other things a mother would want to understand. For example, STS has a booth in the lobby of the Grand Oasis hotel and a representative is there on site for the kids during the whole time there are there. STS, you really should advertise this as both parents and kids would feel relieved knowing that there is someone on site if they are any problems. STS planned and organized a few off resort activities that were well organized and very much enjoyed. They have a good procedure in place for the kids to reenter the States with their Covid tests and travel docs and shuttle times all done 24 hours bf their flight at the hotel. The STS representatives I spoke to on the phone calls had good answer so there were no surprises on vacation week. STS cannot be responsible for the quality of the food at every buffet at every hour, or things of that nature, but I believe my kid was in good hands with good procedure in place for a week in Cancun.

The staff was also wonderful and accommodated us well by storing our belongings after checkout while we explored the State House on the 5th. We love how much is in a very short walking distance to here. Parking may be expensive but for car free people this is quite easy with commuter busses from DC and Baltimore, local Flixbus from DC and New York, local busses around the clock from Baltimore Light Rail's Cromwell station, as well as ample Ubers and Lyfts that may be cheaper than parking and no need to go past walking distance.

Unfortunately, only one of two elevators was in operation. But, the 5th floor has a nice bright blue carpet design and the floor has a pleasant scent as you exit the elevator. The room was nice and we were pleased with the firmness of the beds and fluffiness of the pillows. I'd like to suggest that the bed closer to the wall be moved another foot away from the wall in order to provide a guest more space to get out of the bed on that side, especially since there is more than enough extra space in the armchair area close to the window. Overall, we liked the stay and the location is close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. So, although there were a few "oh no's" during this stay, we still recommend this Annapolis location.
