Lots of good choices, arrived mid morning.

Breakfast sandwiches are excellent. Choice of bread and fillings ( egg, cheese, ham, sausage, bacon). Donuts are excellent. Choice of donuts and some pastries such as turnovers and muffins. Friendly people at the counter and in cafe.

After 2 years of missing their open hours and full parking, I finally got to try Anna's. It wasn't busy...probably because this is the hottest January 11th (going to be mid-60's) in recent memory. They are cash only. Helpfully, they do have an ATM there. The facilities were clean. I bought 4 donuts-- honey dipped, chocolate honey dipped, jelly stick, and cream filled. I did like the cream filled. The jelly stick had an unusual nuance-- almost like a slight rosemary accent (probably just me). The other 2 were ok. I think my high expectations probably factored into my review. I'm glad that I did finally get to try them.

Pros: -Nice people -Great diner vibe Cons: -Maybe just a fluke, but the Boston Cream I ordered today tasted inexplicably like lemon inside, which was not what I was hoping for. Not sure if their standard vanilla cream has a hit of lemon or they made a mistake/didn't clean the piping tips.

They basically have coffee, donuts, and egg sandwiches. I thought the prices were a tad high but I needed my caffeine fix.

Average donuts - at best. Some were quite dry and they were not inexpensive. Would not go again.

Nothing special here. Lowest commitments denominator donuts. You can do better elsewhere.

Old school donut shop that's been in West Roxbury my entire life. There's nothing fancy about it but it serves consistently great donuts.

What a great place in the area for coffee and pastries! I…read morerecently moved to the area and have loved trying everything in the area. I've eyed Recreo for a while and stopped in with a friend to visit, and we were so impressed! We got a pumpkin latte and a lavender matcha, the latter of which is on their summer menu. They knocked both out of the park - so flavorful and delicious! We both tend to prefer sweeter drinks, but we had a perfect balance of flavor with our coffee/matcha. My friend also got a mixed berry scone, which was solid as well but he found it to be a little dry. I would definitely look forward to trying a pastry in the future - I was eyeing their cookies, but wasn't feeling it that morning. I am so happy I live so close and will definitely be back! The baristas were all so kind and personable - in addition to making great drinks, they truly connected with each customer and everyone seemed so happy to be there. We sat inside with all the pollen outside, but the outdoor patio nearby was ADORABLE. Makes sense that it was full when we got there!

The lavender foam was just delicious. The kale and mushroom bites were tasty but somehow just not very filling. What could have gone better was the pesto egg sandwich which was dunked in salt. I'm pretty sure something went wrong with the pre-made sandwich but it literally felt like it had been scrubbed with salt. The staff was nice enough to replace it for me with another of the kale and mushroom bites.

Mine with Coconut milk and the sweetener it's always been made with. it's clear the person working was new and I understand that but it seemed like they were unsure of what they were putting together and the other person working there was there and not busy and the new person could have asked for help. There was no sweetener in my drink and way too many scoops of the matcha. I unfortunately was in a rush to get to work so, I found that out as I began to head into work when I finally got to take a sip And I had to pour out the drink. I'm upset because Starbucks is expensive in general so I wasted money this morning. Moral of the story when you're new at something don't be afraid to ask for help if you're unsure of what you're doing. My review is a 2 because this has never happened when I've gone here and the drink was terrible.

Wow. Just wow. Went here with my SO, who raved non stop…read moreabout this place and said it was one of the only things he HAD to do in MA. It was all that and more. First, the menu is extensive, like Cheesecake Factory extensive. If you like Mediterranean inspired food with ridiculously good bakery items that caters easily to those who are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan, do not miss this place. He got the Israeli breakfast sub vegan kofta kebabs for the tuna and I got the vegetable shakshuka. The Israeli plate is a cornucopia of items, the pics don't do it justice. The plate was bigger than his head. He was in heaven, mmmmm-ing and ohhhing as he ate. I had the shakshuka. Now, I make this at home and have eaten it at numerous restaurants. I know good shakshuka. It was divine. The perfect amount of heat, eggs were properly runny, and the veggies were a perfect balance of crunch and spring. An espresso vanilla bean hurricane, was a delightful addition to the rest of our lunch. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The cafe interior was utilitarian and well maintained. The staff delivering food were attentive to other guests needs as they walked by. All in all, excellent food and experience. I look forward to returning.

Who makes a ham & cheese without mustard?? Blandest sandwich ever. I requested barbecue chips, got billed 50 cents for it, but didn't get the chips. By the time we realized they shorted us the chips, we were on the road. I guess their golden days are past them. There are better choices. I'll miss the "old" Pressed with their flavorful sandwiches and excellent order management.
