We always love Annas although I will say this time I strayed from my favorites and didn't like the food as much as normal. It doesn't change us being big fans of the restaurant but more of a recommendation of what to get and what not to get. I normally get the enchiladas, the tacos or maybe the fajitas, but I went for the flautas this time and thought they were more average. Tried this place for the first time! We just moved to the area so finding good Mexican food and good happy hours places is what I'm all about! This place checks both of those boxes. Such a disappointment, this place seems to have went downhill over time, and we will not be returning. We went on a Saturday night, they were full but not so busy that there was a wait time. Service was a bit slow to start, but nothing that screamed "leave now and don't waste your time". We ordered two simple plates, tacos, nothing that would explain the unusually long wait. Waiter checked on us occasionally, no updates on the delay that was taking place, other tables around us getting their food, etc. 40+ minutes later and still no food, we realized we should have already left. Paid the hostess for our cup of queso and a house margarita with cash to cover and even a few dollars tip regardless of it being deserved or not. Hostess was courteous and apologized. Other notes: the house margaritas was mainly mix and had little to no tequila in it, not worth $12. I normally avoid taste testing for my spouse because I don't like tequila, but I had to confirm that it tasted as though there was no alcohol in it: as it turns out, that is exactly what it tasted like (might as well have been a virgin margarita). The regular cup of queso, which is somewhere around $7 or more, no real flavor, very bland (guessing they want you to pay for the dressed up queso with chorizo or other meats that costs more). Otherwise, we had been going here for years and this was the final nail in the coffin to write this place off when there are so many other good Mexican restaurants in the immediate area. I hope that the owners can turn this place around, but it in addition to needing an interior design update, it has just been a sad slow decline for what was once a great place. read more

This place is so close to home and I drive by it frequently but had never made it in, mostly because we have our other favorite Mexican options we always end up going to. Colleyville sent their usual 35 dollar gift card and we made it a point to get to Anna's, finally! So glad we did. Casper was our fast and friendly server and we enjoyed the fresh chips and tasty salsas, and HUGE margaritas. Food wise I had the fish tacos (loved the cilantro rice and sautéed veggies that came with it) and we also enjoyed the tacos tejanos with shrimp and steak. Place was busy and we will definitely be keeping this in our rotation. A small bar area with a TV for football games is nice. read more

Taco Tuesday is the most important religious observance for me, so when I heard these folks had a special, I had to pay them a visit! Every Tuesday you can get a plate with two tacos or two enchiladas with rice, beans, and chips & salsa for $7.99. Barely more than the price at Rosa's with much better atmosphere, table service, and a super friendly, welcoming staff. Our first visit to Anna's Mexican Grill left us very favorably impressed and looking forward to a return visit. My house margarita was large and delicious, and our enchilada servings (chicken mole and cheese chili con carne) were too. And the hot sauce had a good flavor and just the right "kick." More like 3.5 because the wait staff was incredible! I love our waitress so much! Anyway, the reason for star deduction is FLAVOR. The food is lacking it! We were expecting a little spice, a little flavor, SOMETHING. It started with the Queso, I had to close to my eyes to see if it even tasted like anything. It didn't even taste like cheese, so I mixed it with the salsa (the cup of queso is $6, might as well make it work). The salsa tastes great by the way. I ordered the Pollo crema and the Elote as recommended by other Yelpers, same issue. The flavors were so bland, even the cilantro rice barely tasted like cilantro. I was expecting more of a Tajin flavor on top, it was paprika. Maybe the food is old and has been reheated? That is the only reason I can come up with as to why the flavors are SO muted. My husbands Carne Asada was $21 and he was very disappointed with the lack of flavor on his steak as well. He didn't even take any to go and the waitress asked if it was okay since he left so much on the plate. In conclusion, we spent $80 tonight and I won't be returning for this food. These fajitas were delicious and the largest serving I had ever seen for fajitas. My husband and I split these and had leftovers. Of course we started with queso so we had nibbled. The only thing is they need to slice the beef smaller. It is fairly big slices to put in a tortilla. Try them !! They also serve really good margaritas! We had an awesome brunch there! They have a really good Satruday and Sunday brunch deal. Their tortillas that came with their Huevos Rancheros were amazing. The service was great and they brought us really good Sopapillas at the end. My only problem was that I ate way too much and was full all day. We were there a little early for lunch on a Saturday and people were coming in but it wasn't crowded yet. Overall, it was a really good feel and nice people and excellent food. No more Anna's Mexican Grill, Colleyville Texas for us. After being clients for several years, we will no longer be giving this place our business. The service had been hit or miss a few times but we still gave it a chance as we want to support local businesses. Their food isn't cheap and in this market there should be a standard in service. Waited for 45min to get our raw ribeye (requested medium). Waiter wasn't all that concerned. We actually had a waitress take our order because our waiter wasn't nowhere to be found. Food was cold. Really disappointed as this was one of our favorite restaurants but we will absolutely not be returning. The way these colleyville restaurants are struggling, you would think they would me more aware and offer service equivalent to their pricing. Amazing service and also super great with kids. We had a big group including some kids and they were really helpful especially with a few picky eaters and made substitutions. The enchiladas, fajitas, and various tacos were all favorites and big hits with our group. I tried various bites and they were very good with lots of flavor. The tortilla soup was a bit underwhelming (just not a ton of flavor) but that was probably the only dish we didn't love. The chips and salsa were great. The restaurant itself is cute on the inside and locating in a cute shopping area on Cheek Sparger. We will definitely be going back. Lunch was very slow today. Our waitress was sitting in the bar on her phone majority of the time. The chips and salsa were great, the food was good. But it took 15 mins to get the waitress back to the table to run my card and then brought me the card and receipts but no pen. It took another 5-10 mins for them to find a pen. We attended a private event here where breakfast was served and the tacos were delicious. We had a choice of eggs cooked with two different kinds of sausage, with soft warm tortillas. They had several accompaniments on the taco bar including cheese, sour cream, Pico de Gallo, salsa, and lettuce and tomatoes. Mimosas were tasty and chips were warm and crisp with just enough salt. Sopapillas and churros were available for dessert. I definitely want to come here for their regular brunch as well as lunch or dinner. read more
