Lunch Specials | once & abuelitas tacos | House Margarita Half/Half

Tried this place for the first time! We just moved to the area so finding good Mexican food and good happy hours places is what I'm all about! This place checks both of those boxes. Lunch ends at 4!!! Love that! We got in at 3:30 and ordered the Once & Abuelitas Tacos both 10/10. The quality of the beef was amazing!! (& we own a beef farm lol) Rita was our server and she was fantastic. Happy hour is noon to 6:30!!! Lunch + Happy Hour = Happy Lunch Highly Recommend!!

Best Mexican in DFW hands down! Tuesdays are our go to for Mangonada specials! Go to's: 1. Mangonada 2. Chile relleno with queso on top 3. Enchiladas de fajitas

Anna's Mexican grill never disappoints! A local favorite. The staff are welcoming and the food is delicious! The margaritas are the real star though. This is where my friends and I come when we want to have a drink and catch up

More like 3.5 because the wait staff was incredible! I love our waitress so much! Anyway, the reason for star deduction is FLAVOR. The food is lacking it! We were expecting a little spice, a little flavor, SOMETHING. It started with the Queso, I had to close to my eyes to see if it even tasted like anything. It didn't even taste like cheese, so I mixed it with the salsa (the cup of queso is $6, might as well make it work). The salsa tastes great by the way. I ordered the Pollo crema and the Elote as recommended by other Yelpers, same issue. The flavors were so bland, even the cilantro rice barely tasted like cilantro. I was expecting more of a Tajin flavor on top, it was paprika. Maybe the food is old and has been reheated? That is the only reason I can come up with as to why the flavors are SO muted. My husbands Carne Asada was $21 and he was very disappointed with the lack of flavor on his steak as well. He didn't even take any to go and the waitress asked if it was okay since he left so much on the plate. In conclusion, we spent $80 tonight and I won't be returning for this food. Those sopapillas, the salsa and tortilla strip soup are the redeeming items here. I was super surprised with the tortilla soup, it was divine!

The steak fajitas. After I had already stirred the veggies.

These fajitas were delicious and the largest serving I had ever seen for fajitas. My husband and I split these and had leftovers. Of course we started with queso so we had nibbled. The only thing is they need to slice the beef smaller. It is fairly big slices to put in a tortilla. Try them !! They also serve really good margaritas! And something that makes this place even more special is there was a veteran sitting by himself(well into his 80s probably ) we asked the waiter if we could pay for his meal and he said he is a regular and the manager pays for it when he comes in. Wow that is so sweet. Don't know if that is just for this long time customer or the situation but loved it.

Their Huevos Rancheros. They were very good!

The moment she walked in they were ready to seat us. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of our server however he was awesome! Knowledgeable, helped with making decisions, and friendly. We sat long after we were done eating catching up and not once did he rush us out the door, instead he kept coming by refilling our glasses. So in the process of catching up, I dropped the ball and didn't get the pictures i normally would get (I know, rookie mistake) however they have great lunch specials and great prices (my plate was $10 and came with beans, rice, a brisket taco, and a cheese enchilada with pico on the side). When we got seated they also brought chips and each of us our own salsa so I could double dip as much as I liked and put some on my food. Seriously, this was a great lunch and I even had enough to take home and munch on later. Will I go back? Definitely as I need to give the drinks and other dishes a try!!!

If you visit you will likely feel like this is a homey place with many neighborhood regulars. There are many varieties of wine to choose from, which would allow groups with varied tastes (from very dry to super sweet to fruity) to all gather and enjoy a glass. The outside lacks charm, with a strip mall feel. Inside there are lots of tables decorated with coins under glass. You also use chips to exchange for tastings, which is a nice touch. I am leaving only 3 stars mostly because, despite trying many of the wines here, I can never find one that I actually like. The service is also spotty. My boyfriend said he felt like the tasting room needed a deep cleaning.

There is a large bar in the middle, tons of bar seating, and during my Thursday visit for lunch, it was packed. The vibes are good, and tons of TVs are showing sports. If you have an XY chromosome, this is your place. 1 Star. Service - Rowdy Cowboy is known for having great servers who are very friendly (and nice to look at). Food - Look, if you're here, you're not here for the food. I started with the Steak Frites. The steak was super tender but lacked seasoning. The shoestring fries were awesome and made the perfect pairing to the steak. I ordered the Brisket Sliders but ended up with Wagyu Sliders.
