We both got the valentines special steaks, with the truffle mac and the boulevard cocktail. For an app we got the calamari. Everything was cooked to perfection! For dessert - we were recommended the bread pudding. I was hesitant just because I haven't had a great bread pudding- until now. Incredible food! Incredible service! Came here for a holiday party. Started with a glass of Austin hope cab and instantly became a fan of it. It paired really nicely with the Chilean sea bass. I started with the harvest salad which included fresh Texas pecans. Ended the meal with the bread pudding which was by far my favorite desert at any restaurant. Absolutely fantastic gem located in the heart of Colleyville. We came here for our anniversary this year and it did not disappoint. Easy reservations, good communication and a friendly greeting gave it a good start. Excellent service from the bar staff and our server. We came to Stone House Restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband picked the place because he always drove by it on the way to and from work. I have to say I was impressed. I loved how intimate this restaurant is. You are treated with care as soon as you walk through the door. I started my night with The Boulevard cocktail and it was really tasty. For our appetizer we had the crab cakes and these were so amazing! So many flavors in this citrusy delicious combination. For my meal I had the Whiskey Ribeye that comes with mashed potatoes. The ribeye was the most flavorful piece of steak, I have had in a while and it was cooked to perfection. The steak is placed over the mashed potatoes, so they also soak in all that whiskey sweet delicious flavor. My husband also enjoyed his food and drink. He raved about how good the Brussel sprouts were and I will just take his word for it. To end the night they brought us the most delicious bread pudding for our dessert (on the house). The bread pudding was a 10/10! Moist, sweet and paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream. I hate that I forgot the name of our waitress because she was amazing and even took our picture. I will blame it on the yummy Lemon Drop Martini I had to end the night. In all if you want great food with amazing service, you will not be disappointed dining here. Our server was excellent and the food was good. But on numerous accounts we witnessed the owner scolding some of the employees in front of the restaurant guests. Inappropriate and there's a much better way to discipline if they did something "wrong". Also, we sat under the air vent which was covered in dust. Went to Stone House to celebrate my son's birthday. What an absolute treat this restaurant is. With everything from a two-year-old to a 68-year-old, the food was wonderful and the service was as well. Starting with the ambiance ... the building is an actual stone house complete with a front stoop and a back patio with seating for people waiting or just getting a drink. Our server immediately jumped on getting drinks and getting food ordered for my two-year-old grandson. I don't remember if there is a kid's menu, but there was still plenty to select from. His main course was the truffle mac and cheese, and it was creamy and flavorful. We had a couple adult drinks for the adults including a well prepared Apperol Spritz and an excellent Pouilly-Fume which is a wine that you don't find in that many restaurants. For starters we split two orders of the crab cakes and the octopus. The crab cakes were perfectly prepared and crab-centric, rather than bread-centric. The grandson liked those as well. I thought the octopus serving was a little slight for the price, but it was well prepared. So that is my only complaint about the entire evening. For mains we had Seared Salmon, Redfish, Shrimp & Grits, and an order for the appetizer meatballs. All were good size, especially the meatballs. Every dish was cooked, in our entire group's humble opinion, to perfection. And all would order again. Mine was the redfish and it was as well prepared as any I have ever had with the bed of crawfish gumbo and basmati rice. For my daughter in law's seared salmon, she requested the champagne buerre blanc sauce instead of the menu's blackberry jalapeño glaze and they accommodated with a smile. Her asparagus under the fish was very generous and also prepared well. The one side we had, other than the sides that came with entrees, was the parmesan creamed spinach, and it was decadently rich. Can not even imagine the calories in that, but when something tastes that good it is worth it. Plus, we can all say we had a helping of good for you spinach. We did not have desert. With six drinks over the evening total (not each), plus the prices for the starters and entrees, this was quite an expensive meal. But as a special occasion, and given the quality at every level, it was worth it. read more

This was a celebration for good friend's birthday. This is relatively small place on Colleyville blvd and not someplace I would have thought to stop in. But I am glad we accepted this invitation. 1. Unassuming place with delicious food and drinks. 2. We each had an entree 3 steaks, ribeye, filet, and New York strip steak. I had redfish. All entrees were cooked "Perfectly " 3. The sides were Brussels sprouts and cream spinach. Again all cooked perfectly 4. The complementary birthday dessert was bread pudding without raisins 5. For the quality of the food and service, this was a steal. If you are ever on the west side of the metro plex this is great place to dine at a reasonable price. read more

On our reservation I put we were celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday. There was never any type of acknowledgement of her birthday. The place was packed and so loud that it just made for an overall bad experience. Our food was good not great like in the past. One of our best finds in a long time. My significant other and I meant to try it some time ago, though only recently found a good window. She doesn't like going to restaurants in their last hour, called to confirm time, and the especially welcoming response to a 9:15 reservation put her at ease. The great service continued with efficient and patient wait staff - yes, both are possible - and others making sure we were enjoying the place. Food was phenomenal. I'm glad I tried the sea bass special of the night. Not over-buttered or sauced, just lightly topped because the fish was prepared so well that it didn't need more. That meant I could enjoy the flavor and freshness without the "heavy" feel some places have. Terrific brussel sprouts - even the large ones were enjoyable. Mash potatoes had good texture and flavor. I'd had too many sweets that day, but look forward to trying desser next time. read more

The one thing I would say to the first time patron is this - it'll feel like you're barging in on someone else's event at a private club (of which you aren't a member). My wife and I had read several articles about this restaurant in nearby Colleyville. So we decides to give it a try. We like to eat early so we showed up a few minutes before opening. The door was open so we came in. There was another couple at the bar so we figured we could just have cocktail and wait a few minutes. It was some time before someone came from the back and told us they were in a meeting and it would be a bit before we could be served. We waited until after the 5pm opening and someone finally came to seat us. When asked about seating we expressed an interest in a particular table, mind you no one was there... and the waiter had a bit of an attitude about seating us there. The food was unremarkable and the drinks were so so. Service was very slow and my wife and I didn't feel extremely welcomed as new patrons. We will not be back. read more
