We've been going here for quite awhile now. The service is always friendly and the food is consistently good, there is plenty of room to sit inside or outside. It's a relaxed neighborhood crowd having a Saturday Night out. Even though the service was friendly it was slow for the amount of folks being served. We ordered a Margarita & Old Fashion for drinks and had to ask for water. Our meal was Carne Asada for me and Chili relleno for Diana both served with Rice & Beans. Lupe's used to be much more affordable but in today's world expect to spend 100+ on a meal like we had which included a 20% tip. Definitely will look to do a shareable option in future. read more

This was our first time trying this place and wow! You can tell all the food is home cooked and hand made. The salsa is delicious. We tried different enchiladas, the taco plate for my child and atomic sauce was kickin! Cheese enchiladas with con carne was probably the best I've had. Sour cream sauce and verde on point. Burned. I mean the shrimp al mojo de ajo was over cooked to the point the shrimp was dry and chewy and the garlic was charred to the point it was almost crunchy. Been wanting to try this place out for a while. Salsa passed the test. Just the way I like it. Hot and delicious! Food was great and margaritas were delicious. From the reviews I thought prices would be higher, but they aren't bad at all for a date night. Service was quick and available (note we came on a slower night. The reason for 3 stars: the restaurant charged a credit card surcharge that was not disclosed prior to payment, which is against the rules of the credit card networks; it's actually against Texas state law too, but let's set that aside. Had the fee been disclosed to me, I would have paid via my debit card (fees cannot be charged on debit). The fee may be minor, but I'm hope the owner/manager sees this and provides adequate notice in the future. read more

First time ever sending a review.. I am usually understanding and look past things... We have been eating at Lupe's for years in Keller, as we grew up in NRH for over 50 yrs. The food is good but we have seen a significant decline in the service. It is really suffering. We always split an order / one meal for both of us each time we visit @ 4-5 times a month. Our order is easy and consist of Nachos, quesadillas or will try something new from time to time. The last 3 visits we waited 30- 45 minutes for our meal and often times we go before rush hour. The male bartender outright lied to us multiple times last night, saying "the order will be right out" 1 minute and 30 seconds he said. With empty water and tea glasses for about 20 minutes as well we decided to leave.. Absolutely terrible service. There have been many good employees over the years that have left and we see them working for competition around town. Some employees we know well there allow us the opportunities the restaurant have experienced/ experiencing. There are a few good ones still remaining, how long will it be until they leave for Baja Taco or another thriving restaurant in the area? I just spoke to the manager Carlos on the phone explaining our last 3 experiences above and he offered nothing, no solution, no excuses, nothing, in fact acted like he did not care. Really ? Hmmm, Management might just be the problemo. A lot of family, friends and people I know from the neighborhood have expressed different things about Lupe's over the last year and stopped going. I would always campaign for them and say they have great food/ great service. Try them again. We are finally onboard with the others ...I am a true sales person and will diligently advocate for anything I feel is worthy. Lupe's, I will never market your business again. This one of my favorite places in Keller! They have a great sampler plate. The service is always awesome, the ambiance is clean, bright, and inviting. I usually get the chimichanga and my wife the chile relleno. I love that they bring out hot refried black beans with the salsa. Tip: swirl them together for awesome dipping pleasure! read more

Alright... my second visit happened to be a few days later. I am taking 3 star down to 1. Confirmed this place really slacks on the food. Queso was chunky and not melted properly. Appetizer plate was terrible. Nachos tasted odd and burned and the flautas were literally blackened. Opened up and the chicken was burnt to a crisp and disgusting. The fact they sent those out with black spots on them tells me everything. Margs are pretty decent and good value, everything else is a hard pass. read more

Price was comparable to similar restaurants. The food was really tasty. I appreciated the flavor of the beans and rice, and the chicken on my tacos was moist and flavorful. Chips and salsa were fresh and not greasy. It's a cute place even though they are going through remodel. Server was friendly. My only complaint is that after being served the staff were busy with other tasks and we waited quite a long time for anyone to check on us and finally had to get up and search for a worker to request a box and the check. Very disappointing! Treated terribly on Friday 6/17/2022. Put in our reservation for seven people, was advised it would take approximately 20minutes. After 20 minutes and seeing several families seated, I enquired as to what was going on? The Hostess responded, "My Manager advised us to seat everyone as they came in and not hold a table." I was so angry! You think someone would have had the courtesy to advise us they had no plans to seat us! We left immediately and enjoyed a great meal elsewhere. We just found this restaurant via FW Foodies recommendation. We had the shrimp Enchiladas with sour cream sauce and they were yummy. We will definitely be having them again. Our second entre was the Cilantro Shrimp. They were nice size shrimp but the sauce lacked flavor. And could have used some fresh cilantro on top. And we didn't get any tortillas with them, I didn't ask for any, but I always like to have a tortilla with dinner. The corn tortillas that were used to make the enchiladas were good but they were also drenched in sauce. Lol. There was also a nice small side salad, which was nice. The grilled veggies were wonderful and fresh. If you like things super hot you will enjoy the salsa. read more

I've been here several times for lunch and the food (although slow service) is always yummy. Salsa and bean dip is great! My negative review comes from a to go order. We ordered online at lunch time from work. I went to get it and followed the curb side instructions. No one ever answered the phone so I went inside. The lady at the front had no idea there was an online order and went to the back. I waited a while for our food (well past the promised online time) and took it back to the office. When I got back, there were MANY items missing and every plate had something missing or wrong (including things we paid extra for). Do NOT order online--eat in the restaurant! read more

Although this restaurant is SUPER close to our home, we've only done take out here. That being said, it's pretty good. We always did pick up, not delivery, so i have no clue how long that would take. However, our orders have always been ready in about 30 min for pickup, which isn't too shabby considering we always order at the busy dinner rush time. My kids pretty much always order enchiladas, and they never have any complaints. The food is always fresh & hot when we get it, and they always include chips and salsa with every order. The service at this place is horrible. When we asked for corn tortillas, more chips and hot sauce, it took forever. I asked for a lemon for my iced tea 4 times before I got any. We all needed drink refills, more hot sauce and chips and it took forever. When we finally got our food, three of the meals were completely cold. I ordered really expensive fajitas and they weren't good at all. At one point I asked for a new waitress and the manager said they were really busy. There were only 3 other tables of people. Then when we finally got our checks, the waitress never came back to get them. My niece got up and took them to the manager to finish, but he just called the waitress over.
