We used him both as a seller's and buyer's agent, for the sale of one house and a purchase of another. Throughout the entire process he promptly answered any questions we had (there were many, and frequently repeated) at any time of day. Any information that he wasn't sure of he was clear about, and rapidly found answers to. We were looking over a very large area, for somewhere around 3 months he drove 2-5 hours multiple times a week to showings, never complaining and always working with our schedules. When we found the right place, he made suggestions on what to offer, assuring that we were accepted. After the offer was accepted he helped negotiate to lower than we had expected. I was hesitant about our ability to even sell our house, and was in disbelief at the original price that he estimated we would be able to get for it as it was $15-20k above what I had assumed we would be able to get. He followed through with that estimate and we sold at $10k over it (for a total of $30k above what I had expected to get for the house) on an offer that we received within the first week of listing the house. I'm writing this in front of my fireplace, in a new house that's over double the size of my first one, with hardwood floors instead of laminate, that I'm paying nearly the same mortgage for. Bottom line Jeff Jellison will say and promise anything to make the sale. He kept telling us not…read moreto worry about anything because he was going to give us a one year warranty on our new house. Come to find out he was mandated by Maine Law. We paid him an extra premium to finish the bamboo flooring up the stairs and on the 2nd floor instead of putting down carpet. We also paid him an astronomical extra amount of money to put some color on all of the walls. We put off the passing for a couple weeks and asked him to take his time and do a professional job. This did not happen. We did the walk thru and every time I mentioned something was wrong, Jeff just said don't worry you have an entire year to let us know what we need to fix. After we moved in with closer examination we noticed quite a few things wrong. Now the fun begins. I called and called Jeff and his very rude and disrespectful brother-in -law Rob. I also emailed Jeff numerous times. He would return my messages, but actually getting someone here to do any work was like pulling teeth. He would send a Carpenter to meet me and discuss what needed to be done, but the Carpenter was always late and never allowed to stay and finish the work. Rob would disrespectfully call him off to another job every single time. The stairway was not blocked or finished properly. It had to be completely pulled up and redone correctly. The triple window was installed crooked and had to be uninstalled and reinstalled. The Patio door was also crooked and had to be taken out and reinstalled as to avoid water leakage. The paint job was obviously rushed and ended up being sloppy, splatters everywhere, bumpy with nail pops all over. The painter never came back and my husband spent days repainting every wall and every ceiling. The retaining wall in the driveway was falling apart and he told us he fixed it. He lied. We had to build another wall at our cost in front of the original to stabilize it. Jeff assured us that he was building 8 more cute cottages like ours in the neighborhood. He lied. As soon as we moved in all of his signs came down and another inferior builder's signs went up. He had sold all the lots. We lost equity in our home the day we moved in due to this misrepresentation by Jeff. The aluminum is still falling off the side of our house. He fixed it once which did not work and we suggested he actually use a piece of manufactured wood to properly fix it. He refused. The last straw was a phone call we made to Rob. He didn't even say Hello, he just rudely sighed to me. All we wanted was what we were promised. Atlantic Realty, Atlantic Builders, Jeff Jellison and Rob did not deliver. To keep our sanity we gave up and stopped calling them. We emphatically DO NOT recommend this company!
