I have now consulted with 20 plastic surgeons. I have tried almost everything - acupuncture. LLLT stands for low-level laser therapy, massage, nerve pills, etc. Two different NYC surgeons performed the two major surgeries. Each surgery helped somewhat; however, it was not enough as I am still in search of relief. The nightmare continues as my bank account dwindles. I would trade my discomfort for a visible scar running across my face. Please learn from my mistake, and let me say it is better to feel good than to look good. Later, I found out the reason why I got no response was because the person I had been corresponding with was no longer there. Once I was finally seen, Dr. Sarnoff rushed through my exam. I guess to be expected as she was at least 2 1/2 hours behind. I have a history that was important for her to know since she was seeing me for the first time, and I didn't feel heard at all. The next time I went in I had asked about some blemishes on my face and was given a brief consultation to have them taken care of. I made an appointment and gave a $500 deposit in cash. After thinking about it for a week or so I called and said I had changed my mind and would like my deposit back. It took over 2 months and many nasty phone calls from Nikki to FINALLY get my money back. It was one excuse and lie after another. From then on I was extremely uncomfortable any time I had to call the office because I was spoken to rudely and hung up on while I was saying goodbye. After this incident I was very turned off but decided not to let the rudeness of the receptionist dissuade me from seeing my doctor. I was having an episode of welts and rashes on my fingers and toes so I called and asked if I could come in to be seen. Nikki claimed there were no appointments for 4 weeks. When I told her that I was having the outbreak now and may not be in 4 weeks, she suddenly found an appointment in 2 weeks. I still was not convinced I'd have anything to show the doctor in 2 weeks so I asked her what she does when patients have issues like this that need to be seen immediately? She told me she tells them to go to the emergency room and that's what I should do. I told her it's not an emergency per se, just that it needs to be looked at before it's gone! At this point I felt Nikki was not going to make it easy to give me an appointment ever. Every time I called the office she was rude and dismissive of me. At this point I really should have been done here but I decided to give it one last chance because I needed a skin check. I have a strong family history of skin cancer and I've had several spots removed from my body that were "moderate" and needed to be watched. Nikki could not get me in for almost 3 months. I took the appointment and decided to wait. A week or so before the appointment Nikki called to confirm and told me that soon Dr. Sarnoff would not be doing skin checks anymore- that she'd only be doing them for certain patients and because I've been waiting so long, she would do mine but after that it might not be her. My appointment is tomorrow. Today I received a call from a different receptionist (I guess Nikki felt too embarrassed to make this call after speaking to me just last week) that Dr. Sarnoff is no longer doing skin checks so a different doctor would be doing mine tomorrow. I explained that I was aware she was going to be stopping skin checks because Nikki had told me that last week, but she had also said that Dr. Sarnoff would be doing mine because I had waited so long for my appointment. The receptionist told me sorry but no she can't do mine. She has too many cancer patients and Mohs surgeries to do. It is abundantly clear that this practice (Nikki?) plays favorites. If she doesn't like you, watch out because your health might be put at risk. Dr. Sarnoff may be a good doctor, I really don't know because my interaction with her has been so little, but any doctor who would employ staff who are rude, condescending, lie and pick favorites is not a doctor that I'd want taking care of me. The receptionist told me to take 2 50mg Benadryls (which I know know is way too much medication). Knocked me out at work and was unable to get myself home. Then the mole they insisted on removing got very infected and I called back. Had to call three times before I got a call back. Then the doctor said that my stitches look infected but they aren't really infected. Thing is I DIDNT HAVE STITCHES. I really had an infection in my neck from this mole removal. Horrible experience.

I met Dr. Ciardullo back in 2003 when I made an appointment to see him for a breast augmentation consultation. This was going to be the first big surgery I'd ever have and I was nervous about the appointment so I brought my mom with me. During the visit he made us feel very comfortable, explaining the whole process from start to finish, pre-op, post- op etc. He listened to our concerns and spent the visit answering all of our questions without rushing. After going over the details of the procedure, he gave us a tour of his operating suite (which I felt was more of a comforting setting as opposed to being in a large hospital). After the visit my mother and I decided this was the doc for us! We booked the appointment and came in a few weeks later for the procedure. I was very nervous the morning I went in but he reassured me everything would go smoothly (and it did!). The anesthesiologist and nurses who took care of me were all very sweet - in fact, the anesthesiologist, nurses and front staff that were present for my breast augmentation over 10 years ago were also there for my rhinoplasty last month! Since having my first surgery in 2003, I have gone to him for every procedure I've had (including a chin implant, fillers and botox). I have referred friends and family who have also had rhinoplasties, breast augmentations and abdominoplasties (tummy tuck). The office is always welcoming and I couldn't be more pleased with their services. It might have been just a minute difference of millimeters but to me it was the clear precursor to the dreaded Tox Face!! I knew there must be a better way. Someone out there must know what they're doing. Someone who can truly appreciate human anatomy with a natural take on beauty and proportions. Here is where Dr Kim's skills are apparent: while he used just about the same units of botox as the Dermatologist, he made way more injection points with deft hands. Dr. Richard Reish Botched my Tummy and I strongly regret choosing this surgeon for my tummy tuck…read more After having a C-section, I had a small pouch on my abdomen that I wanted corrected. I found this doctor through Google, and during the consultation he was friendly, attentive, and made me feel confident about moving forward. Unfortunately, my experience changed completely after the surgery. I never saw the surgeon again. Every postoperative visit was handled by someone else, and whenever I asked to speak with him, I was told he was busy with consultations. Instead, I was forced to communicate through his coordinator/personal assistant, who acted as the middle person for everything. When a nurse removed my stitches, I discovered that my entire tummy tuck incision had trapped skin (dog ears/skin caught along the incision), leaving me with a botched result. I was shocked and devastated. I had no opportunity to discuss it directly with the surgeon because he was never available. To make matters worse, I was in significant pain after surgery and couldn't even reach the doctor for pain medication. Despite repeated attempts, I could only get responses through his assistant. Eventually, I had to schedule an appointment with my primary care physician just to obtain pain medication for a surgery that this surgeon had performed. The lack of postoperative care and communication was unacceptable. A surgeon's responsibility doesn't end once the operation is over. Patients deserve follow-up care, answers to their concerns, and direct access to the doctor when complications arise. Because of the poor surgical outcome, I had to seek another plastic surgeon and spend thousands of additional dollars to repair the damage caused by my first surgery. No patient should have to pay twice for the same procedure because of inadequate surgical results and lack of accountability. If you are considering this surgeon, I encourage you to carefully research not only the consultation experience but also how patients are treated after surgery. My experience was one of the most stressful and disappointing medical experiences I've ever had, and I cannot recommend him.
