Swearing "never again" after losing a soul that was by my side every day, they become a part of you. The silence was unbearable, so I reached out to The California Paws rescue again. And Ms Moxie found her way into my heart. The Paws staff really know what they are doing, saying "NO" to my first two choices because they were watching out for me and my specific needs and Moxies forever fit! That's the kind of rescue work that changes lives. Now I have a new love bug who is already spoiled and knows she is home. Roxy would be proud. I gave her 12 years of constant companionship and now Ms Moxie gets the same full-hearted love thanks to the wonderful dedicated staff at The California Paws rescue. Welcome home, Ms Moxie Moo You landed in the right place I would also like to say, PLEASE if you cannot adopt donate ! So many beautiful souls are in need

    To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent adoption application with California Paws Rescue. I contacted your organization hoping to find a companion for my 10-year-old female Bull Terrier, who recently lost her long-time companion. I explained that she is a typical Bull Terrier--stubborn and a bit hard-headed--and would likely thrive with an older, less domineering male dog. Given my extensive background as a dog handler and small business dog trainer, I provided a comprehensive adoption application, including a direct contact for my local veterinarian, who can attest to my dog's health and happy demeanor. I also offered to provide contact information for previous clients. As part of your process, a video call was scheduled to show the dog's sleeping area and surroundings. While I offered to film the exterior yard, including the block wall and fence, and noted that my house is visible on Google Earth, I declined to film the interior of my home for personal security reasons. Subsequently, my application was denied due to my refusal to film the interior. While I respect the need to follow established procedures, I believe that given my qualifications, the references I provided, and my veterinarian's willingness to be contacted, my dog and I should have at least been offered a face-to-face meeting to demonstrate a suitable environment. It appears that your adoption rates are so high that individual cases, even those with comprehensive supporting information, do not warrant further consideration.

    *Send Me an Angel*…read more My family & I have donated lots of household items, clothing, furniture, and nick-knacks to this Angel View store thru the years. Angel View has saved us from more hassle than we had already encountered, if Angel View didn't pick up some of the big heavy items -- opposed to other items we boxed up and brought to this store ourselves. I've read some negative Yelp reviews claiming Angel View overcharges for merchandise, sold to the public at the store. I don't agree with those comments. Their prices are very reasonable. Some are even too cheap. Tho everything is secondhand and used, you get what you pay for, and they offer great deals on mostly everything. What I do know? Angel View has lots of overhead running a business and their charitable organization. Just because they're a "non profit" doesn't mean they're not entitled to cover all their costs and expenses. When you contact Angel View to pick up heavy objects for donation, you speak to live human beings who are not working for free. Angel View gladly sends out one of their big trucks to your home or place of business, to pick up your heavy objects -- saving you the time & effort of having to do it yourself or barrow a bigger vehicle or rent your own truck to get rid of all the larger items you don't know what it do with. Angel View has to pay for those trucks, the gas, the maintenance, the auto insurance, the workers driving the trucks that do all the heavy lifting, so you don't have to. Angel View stores have team members & employees who work there for a living. Running any business no matter if it's a "non profit" or not, ain't free. They have rent and bills to pay, along with utilities, supplies, workers compensation insurance, and several other expenses that most don't realize, who never owned or ran a business of their own. This Angel View store is larger than some of their others, it's very clean and well organized. And their staff is friendly and helpful. I've made a purchase at their other location in Palm Desert that I will write a separate review on their Yelp page. I'm very grateful & thankful for Angel View because they're providing a much needed service for a charitable cause. Shop till you drop... Or Donate to Angel View and earn your wings. {{{Big~High-Five}}}
