Lovely small business in Wimberley. They had many options to fit different price points. Store was very organized and clean. Everything was very cute and trendy. I had a few items in my hand and an associate helped me find a fitting room. They were very attentive. First let me say I own a boutique in Houston and nothing is more infuriating than shoplifters. I COMPLETELY understand .On the same note nothing is more off Putting then to be followed around a store by two young girls flanking you and your husband. It was obvious as I walked in overhearing their conversation about someone they had caught and followed out the store on the advice of the owner.( their words not mine )which is very dangerous in itself. I had a large LV bag that I would have happily put behind the counter if for some reason they saw me as a potential thief. It was totally uncomfortable atmosphere.We had almost walked out due to the treatment we received until I saw a sweater that I really loved .. I purchased the sweater despite my husbands protests.Its very unfortunate because it's a great boutique. BTW is was a shopping trip for my birthday from my husband. Would have loved to purchased many more items but I was not feeling spending our money in a store that finds us untrustworthy.Maybe cameras might do the trick . Just not 2 young women who need to be trained on LP properly. read more

Annie James opened recently in Wimberley TX on Old Kyle Road just below Heart of TX Yoga which is another excellent business. This boutique offers the cutest clothes and accessories at extremely reasonable prices. Everything they sell is unique and you won't see it on a bunch of other people. The service is friendly and helpful. This store is a welcome addition to Wimberley and they have made a big fan of me. I am a part time resident of Wimberley and my biggest complaint is that there are many little shops in town but none of them sell anything that is really worth buying. It's hard to see how they stay in business. I predict Annie James is going to do great! I go there every time I'm in town and end up buying several things. They also gave out gifts for Valentines day the last time I was there and I got a really nice wallet. Good luck to you ladies!! read more

I live here in Wimberley, and I'll tell you that shopping in this boutique is as good as it gets! I've been a patron since the store first opened, and I have 2 daughters and 1 daughter-in-law who shop at Annie James every time they come to town!! Most of their birthday and Christmas presents come this quaint, one-of-a-kind shop, and we never leave empty-handed, that's for sure! Kellie, Jenna, and all the girls who work there are not only very helpful, but they truly, genuinely care about their customers and do not hesitate to give their honest opinions when trying on a piece of clothing. Now they have 'tween clothing (adorable!), and so I do some shopping for my granddaughters as well. Not sure what I'd do if AJ wasn't in Wimberley....would definitely make my life more hectic when it came to finding the perfect outfit or accessory. Love this store and its people! read more

I've lived in Wimberley for almost 14 years and any time that I have wanted to go shopping I have felt the need to go to either San Marcos, Austin or San Antonio. That is until now. I discovered Annie James Boutique a few months ago and am so excited that I no longer have to travel to find clothing that I not only like but that I can afford. Usually boutiques are known for their outrageous prices but at Annie James you can find things to fit any budget. They have great clothing, accessories and shoes. Stumbled upon this store while visiting in Wimberley. The one star is due to lack of customer satisfaction! I support small business!! It's the American dream to own your own. It's no secret the trend of large corporate run companies taking over mom and pop shops is a reality. I would encourage this proprietor to get in the game. My expectation w/ a small local business wasn't met unfortunately. I was hoping for the kind that "work" with customers to make the experience pleasing and with the intention to have a life-long customer. I spent 247.51. The staff was all very eager to help with suggestions. I was shopping for my daughter who was not present. I actually took the time to send her photos through our cells. I knew I was taking some chances as she is a very petite gal at 15, and I was aware their policy was 7 days as long as it wasn't a sale or clearance item. I contacted the store on the "10 th" day and it happened to be a Tuesday, they close on Tuesday's. I made the call the following day in hopes that they would allow me to exchange the item for a store credit- a 24.00 item that wasn't going to be alter"able" (which of my 8 items, 4 will need alterations for the "mini 15 year old". I asked if they would please give me some special consideration. The answer was no. My suggestion, because you do own your own business- WORK WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS! I think that is perfectly legit to expect. A little consideration would go a looooong way with me. I may have even "spent another 71.35 more to earn 15% off on a future purchase" by shopping on line, because I don't live down in that area. Big mistake-huge! read more

We have lived in Wimberley area for almost 15 years now and I enjoy shopping locally for birthday and Xmas gifts. This past year I went to Annie James for my wife's birthday present because she had mentioned how much she liked the store - boy has that changed. I bought several items, including a $150+ dress. I asked about return policy and was told to hold on to my receipt and that my wife could get store credit if there was an issue. Well, the dress didn't fit and Annie James would not let her return it for store credit because it was 11 days later and their policy is that items must be returned within 7 days - something the clerk did not mention. I bought the items a few days prior to her birthday and it took her several days to return the dress since we both work. After I left several messages and never heard back from the owner/manager, we just gave up. So we now have an expensive dress still in the bag and will be given to goodwill. I have since heard of several people that have had the same issue. Apparently they don't care who they make angry as long as they get your money. I recommend you avoid this place like the plague. Wimberley does not need businesses with such terrible customer service. We will never go back and I hope their store is short-lived. read more

Their prices, clothing, shoes and accessories are always on top of the latest trends, and you will never enter without being greeted by a friendly smile, even if you are brining in your tired hungry kiddos....they get it, they've got some also! If I had only a few words to describe Annie James Boutique I would have to say Trendy, Colorful, Fun, Affordable. It's been so wonderful to have such a diverse selection of styles right here in Wimberley! The staff is personable and helpful and makes your shopping experience FUN! The store entrance is really cute with tables and chairs on a big patio. There's a playground right next door and the shade trees invite you to stay. And don't miss the sales racks on your way in - there are always good deals waiting... When you step inside you KNOW it's gonna be good! High ceilings and windows overlooking the creek make you feel like you could stay forever. And then there are the clothes! Amazing selection, unique, ALWAYS something new. And there's such a selection (grab them if you like them, because they go fast)! Belts, jewelry and shoes help put the perfect spin on that top or dress you've fallen in love with. Occasionally there are margaritas and cake balls, or lemonade or wine and yummy snacks to help you shop. The element of surprise is strong here - you never know what great things you're going to discover! The owner really knows what we shoppers like, and presents it all in a fun, serendipitous way. I recently purchased a top that I needed to exchange and unfortunately, was past the 7 day return policy. The store owner was more than happy to work with me and let me exchange the top.
