I like this store because it's definitely uniquely Wimberley. I do think the cats are cute and add to the uniqueness of the store. With that said I feel like there could be some added attention to the cleanliness as it is a borderline hoarding situation. Not sure why there is so much stuff stacked everywhere and I've seen at least three if not four people working there. It's almost like there's just way too much stuff it's almost overwhelming. The prices are pretty expensive but I understand they are trying to make money and we have options to buy or not. A good place for vintage Western wear including some amazing jackets. Shopping for boots is hit or miss I would say, though I got a pair on my first visit. There aren't a lot of choices on the shelf for each size, and it's a mix of new and 2nd hand, and a mix of high end and basic. I also got a linen dress and they have a lot of clothes and accessories. Also, don't count on walking in exactly at opening time. read more

Lots of really beautiful stuff in here. Really beautiful, really expensive stuff. Most of the items I looked at were wall street prices but I suppose that's kind of the deal when you're in the main tourist area of a day-trip town. I looked at a cool dress ($90), some neat boots ($400), a pretty ring ($85) and a myriad of other items. It's eye candy for sure and you can spend some time in there. There are discounted things and some more inexpensive items. There is also a hilarious section of embroidered jackets. Do with that what you will, Dolly. Definitely stop in to get a sense of Texas chic. And if you've got some money burning a hole, I'd imagine you'll find something to spend it on here. read more

When I grow up and become SOMEONE! I will buy all my! clothes from Wall Street Western. Heck, for the price I might as well do it now. Then maybe people will think I'm somebody. Wait...maybe I AM someone and I just don't know it. I'll have to see if I can get myself thrown out of a Waffle House. All kidding aside, this place is amazing. I'll post the pics. If you need something artistic, Texas funky, over the top or understated cool...they have you covered. Custom western boots, ladies' and mens'; I loved the ones with the Virgin de Guadalupe on the front. Racks and racks of custom designed jeans with all types of embellishments. Men's clothes, women's clothes, belts, hats, shoes...if it's cool, it's there. My favorite item was a zombie belt. There's a photo of that too. KATIE, it made me think of you! read more

Looking for boots for my 18 year old daughter I found this delightful shop in Wimberley Square. The selection is vast and the customer service and friendly service was over the top. Abigail helped me by listening and suggesting boots yet without pressure. She was kind, friendly and fun to talk to! Good job Wall Street Western for employing wonderful skilled people like Abigail. Also I found the cats amusing and didn't smell a thing. It should be mentioned that I suffer from hyperosmia which is a heightened sense of smell! read more

I have always wanted to be a cowgirl. I wanted to grow up on a ranch and have lots of horses to pick from for my trail rides. I have never forgiven my parents for my suburban upbringing. If I was a cowgirl, I would spend all my bronc-riding winnings here. If I didn't ride broncs I would spend all my blue ribbon pig winnings here. If my pigs were losers I would....oh, forget it. It's all just a dream. But, if I were a cowgirl, riding on the range and two steppin' at night, I would wear the sexy swirly skirts, tight jeans, cute tight tops with painted art, large, decorated leather belts, straw hats, felt hats, and leather jackets displayed here. I would dress my man in the pearl snap western cut shirts, denim jeans and hand tooled leather boots found here. My kids would wear mini-snap shirts, denim jeans and boots. Even my pets would wear tiny cowboy boots. There is a large glassed case filled with gorgeous antique turquoise jewelry. It has been years since I have seen a squash blossom necklace and WSW has several vintage pieces. If I was a cowgirl, I would be wearing a squash blossom necklace right now. Nothing more. We have a house in Wimberley but are full time Houstonians and whenever I'm in town - I make sure to visit to see what new items she has.. From vintage boots to horse cigar purses! Such a fun store! As far as the negative reviews about cats... That's funny... Wimberley does have some crazy locals that will do anything to harm a small business and will get their family members and/or make a fake account just to post some hurtful reviews. She also is a Charlie One Horse Hat dealer too. I got one of my hats here. A really cool vintage style Prison Rodeo baseball cap. Specialty horse purse and I'm headed back today to bring my friends and family who stayed with us over the weekend here! Beware when trying on a jacket near the back of the store as I nearly stepped my bootie in a box of fresh doodie. Horrible customer service .... I have purchased boots here before (1 yr ago) looking forward to buying a new fun pair . Spent less than five minutes in the store. Walked out after asking the extremely rude employee a question about boots . The question - silly me . "I bought theses boots at your store last yr , I think they came in grey as well ?" To which she replied - "I didn't work here a year ago "...Really ???? hope you don't work on commission . Ohhh and don't dare ask about the cats . Btw , if you have 6 cats in a store , people are going to ask , touch & take pictures - if you don't want them to do so .... I suggest beanie babies . read more

Two things hit me when I walked in. Strong urine smell from Persian cats. Second very dark. I left because the smell choked me. That smell would resonate throughout the store. Enough said. Animals like that have no place in a business. read more

It looked like this place had a lot of beautiful stuff inside, unfortunately it had the worst kind of employee policing shoppers as well. My friends and I were discouraged to continue shopping at this establishment because a lady employee greeted us with a ridiculous warning "CAT PICTURES ARE FIVE DOLLARS!" Yup, this woman had no interest in making shoppers feel welcome. The store pet (a cute cat named Zippy) walks around the store looking all charming and adorable while this lady walks around doing the complete opposite. Apparently the store helps the South Texan Persian Rescue group by donating whatever money they make charging Wimberly tourists $5 to take pictures of their cats. Listen, I'm all for helping the animals, but a tip jar and a smile would work A LOT better than this bitter woman's attitude. Don't lure people in with adorable animals and then scare them away with terrible manners. Also, that's $5 per cat picture. Get a grip. read more

Seriously this store is so much fun. Filled with leather, lace and rhinestones goods this is a great store to check out. Wall Street Western is a must see store. THE GOODS: Rodeo glam museum meets boho chic. The owner Jacque has stocked the store with an amazing selection. New items form Free People, Roja, Double D, CP Shades, Spell and the Gypsy, Z supply, VSA, Barbosa, Corral, Freebird, Old Gringo, Liberty Black, Mink Pink, Ryan, Patricia Wolf and many more brands. There is a large vintage collection of Nudies, Kippys, Double D, Manuel, Rocket Buster and Liberty to name a few. Great selection of new and vintage boots for men and women. She even has smaller and larger womans size boots,sizes 5 to 13. A rack in the back is a hipsters dream filled with $25 mens vintage pearl snaps. The hats are like art. There are top hats with a holsters and guns, rattle snake wrapped corset hat bands, steampunk geared concoctions, fedoras and regular cowboy hats. Attila sculpture in angles wings, horse head and vintage decorations. There is something for everyone in this store. THE PRICES: With such a wide variety of clothes, boots, jewelry and decor the prices spread the spectrum from very expensive to bargain. Check out the sell racks in the front. There is aways a rack or three of sell items outside from 20%- 50% off. THE STAFF: The staff is all nice and helpful. They will work with you to get the right pair of boots or outfit for your special occasion. If you go home and decide you really wanted something you passed up, call and they will ship it to you. THE CATS: The store has 4 rescued cats. They garner almost as much attention as the store itself at time. THE END: So if you are in need of a woman's silver tutu, a hat with shot glass and stir stick, a leather rhinestone duster or a buffalo head? Or maybe just some cute boots and outfit to match ? This store is one of the reasons why I love this region of Texas. Wall Street Western gets my "Guilty Pleasures" award. If I only had the dough, I'd indulge in all the flaming-heart-rockstar-Texican-mystic-rockabilly paraphernalia I could handle. My absolute only criticism of the place, is the fact that there is A LOT of merchandise in the space that it's in, so it's a little hard to browse without getting a bit overwhelmed by items that are meant to be singularly overwhelming...It's like getting bombarded with bling. The other criticism....yeah, it's quite a bit pricey, (which brings me back to my "if I only had the dough" statement.) But regardless of these criticisms, this is MY style of Western, and if you're lookin' to stand out in the crowd, this'll do it. read more
